"Nothing is more certain than that a general profligacy and corruption of manners make a people ripe for destruction. A good form of government may hold the rotten materials together for some time, but beyond a certain pitch, even the best constitution will be ineffectual, and slavery must ensue." John Witherspoon (The Dominion of Providence Over the Passions of Men, 1776) Reference: The Selected Writings of John Witherspoon, Miller ed. (140-1)

"I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." James Madison Primary author of the U. S. Constitution

What "We the sheeple" may reap with their Election 2008 vote
The "Change" all of America can count on unless prayer warriors turn God’s face back towards America.

The Change: The Republic could very well be replaced by Socialism, with liberty mandated by the government. No longer "We the People," but government of the government, by the government, for the government. "We the people" are now the servants of those who are elected to serve us. Primarily, this is because preachers preach "from their head and their heart" and neglect to preach what they were commissioned to preach - the Kingdom of God, the Word of God, and their failure to reprove the world of sin. The result, people no longer go to church, they go to their government.

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.” - This quote is most often attributed to Alexander Tyler (or Tytler?) writing in 1787 about the fall of the Athenian Republic.

What to expect...

  • A move towards Socialism/Marxism/Communism with bigger/more government programs
  • Liberty as mandated by government
  • An overwhelming despotic branch
  • Government-run healthcare
  • Increased taxes and increased spending
  • Loss of America's power, sovereignty, and noble leadership in the world in favor of United Nations dominance,
  • Selective First Amendment dictates, continued infringement of the Second Amendment,
  • Increased secular humanistic anti-Christian government-run schools and pre-schools, and "higher" education rewriting history to eradicate America's Christian Heritage
  • Continued dependence on foreign energy sources?
  • "We could not have a more important election about America's future than the one we will face this year. We already have the most liberal, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual Congress in the history of America. We cannot afford to unleash an unbridled leftist, secular, anti-religious agenda on America and our children. Economic problems are only a symptom of this Nation's problem; they are not the cause. We are calling Americans to stand together and return to this Nation's core values." Mat Staver- Liberty Counsel
  • Barack Obama - Narcissist or Merely Narcissistic? Former Director of Navy and Defense Intelligence Dr. Sam Vaknin analysis of Senator Obama.

"Change" From: "The thought of modern industry in the hands of Christian charity is a dream worth dreaming. The thought of industry in the hands of paganism is a nightmare beyond imagining. The choice between the two is upon us." Theodore Roosevelt

“To take from one, because it is thought his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers, have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, the guarantee to everyone the free exercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it.”   Thomas Jefferson

"Change" To: "You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot build character and courage by taking away men's initiative and independence. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves." - President Abraham Lincoln, a founder of the Republican Party

“It’s not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’ve got a chance for success too. I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” - Barack Obama to Joe the plumber, a small business owner at a recent rally

Obama stated that he would not raise taxes on people earning less than $250,000. However, he voted in the Senate to let the Bush tax cuts expire. Taking away the Bush tax cuts is no different than RAISING your taxes. It will not just raise the taxes of those earning over $250,000 it will be for EVERY American--100% across the board.
