Patriot’s Declaration July 4, 2008  - Additional Commentary

If there is anyone to blame for the denigration of America's Biblical moral virtue which created the Greatest Nation ever, with  sovereignty, power, and charity it is preachers. If preachers preached the only the Word of God as they are called, and left the conviction and convincing to God's Governor on earth, the Holy Spirit, Who "gives the increase," the decreasing personal responsibility, commitment, accountability, self discipline would not have been replaced by the political correctness where America's  government and society has now reached a point where government has replaced God.

However, it is not just conservatives and Christians who are lax in Biblical moral virtue. It is every American! The idiot light (too late light) has come on and the engine needs to be rebuilt. If it does not get restored to operate as designed, it will never be as it was.

The challenge we really face and what has to be done to rebuild that once sovereign, moral virtuous engine of a Republic.

"Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it." - Thomas Paine

American Christendom is called to task, those who submit to God’s Governor, the Holy Spirit, and not those who subscribe to political correctness, where Biblical moral virtue is denied. It is sorry to see that many that profess to the Christian faith are placing their faith in secular humanism, and not God. This is evident in their support of issues that are in direct conflict with God’s Word.

This call is to restore America to its Biblical Foundation where “Rights” are only to be “entitled” if they do not violate “the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God” and requires a sound Biblical moral virtue. Those that possess a “reprobate (unrighteous) mind” are “without excuse” as the Holy Spirit confirms their actions and declared through Paul the Apostle in Romans 1:28-32 (Power New Testament): And since they did not see fit to have true knowledge of God, God gave them over into an unrighteous (reprobate) mind, to do the shameful things, since they were filled with every unrighteousness, wickedness, avarice, desire to injure. full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, evil habits, whisperers, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant, braggart, contriving evil, refusing to obey parents, without understanding, covenant breaking, without natural affection without mercy: who, although they know the ordinances of God thoroughly, because they are practicing such things as these that are worth of death, not only are they doing them but they are applauding others who do them.

It begs to ask, how is the foundation of political correctness justified? Darwinism? Socialism? Communism? All of which citizen freedom is mandated by the state and not of God. This is in direct opposition to America’s Founding document where the intent of the Declaration of Independence was targeted against tyranny and prevented social deviance from becoming legal, preempting that which corrupts basic human and social civility by establishing a Biblical moral and virtuous foundation defined by “the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God.”

As Christians we have become complacent and let our guard down, being apathetic in trusting without verifying.  We have allowed our elected officials, whom “we the people” voted into office to create laws that violate the boundaries of that Declaration. In turn, our elected representatives have also been apathetic in their duty in upholding their accountability in our Republic’s “checks and balances,” allowing judges to violate the Constitution they swore to interpret, not re-write.

Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house. - Ezekiel 12:2

Primarily since 1947, a letter by the same Thomas Jefferson who provided the Declaration of Independence has become more prevalent in how “Rights” are “entitled” then what he wrote in America’s Founding Document. The result is blatantly obvious in too many aspects of our “new and improved politically correct” dominated presence of minority rule allowing for the “the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God” to be violated. We are now faced with this mountain of political correctness throughout America, from sea to shining sea. Schools, health care, both major political parties, local, state, and federal governments, are chained to deception and deviancy, because Biblical moral virtue is no longer present, and when the Light is absent, darkness inevitably ensues.

The natural family existed before any government. The natural family provided the foundation for civil obedience through commitment, responsibility, and accountability through natural love. The basic tenants of any government is also based and founded upon the natural family. The family, as designed by God was compatible with nature as a marriage between one man and one woman, and bearing children is the cornerstone of the building known as government. The government is a reflection of the natural family, from which rules or laws establish boundaries. These boundaries comply and do not violate "the laws of Nature and of Nature's God." If laws by governments, no matter how well intended, violate this basic premise, the result is to weaken both the government and the natural family. A society then that creates laws that conflict with "the laws of Nature and of Nature's God" is no longer "civil" and chaos ensues "naturally." This is evident from diseases and other health risks that "naturally" occur. Yet, the politically correct mandate wants you and your children to now call this violation “normal.”

As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. - Jesus, John 17:18

“Stay in the race…” and continue to “reprove the world sin,” of deceit and the mountain of political correctness. As confirmed by the Word of God (below), those who subscribe to political correctness use unrighteous deception which conflicts with Biblical moral virtue.

2 Timothy 3:1-9 - This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: - 1 Peter 3:15

Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. - Colossians 4:5-6

Our worldly education provides us with worldly wisdom, howbeit, “we who have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2), must at all times express the Word of God, which is Christ (John 1) and the “Sword of the Spirit” (Ephesians 6:17, Hebrews 4:12). If indeed we are citizens of both these United States and the Kingdom of God?

2 Timothy 4:1:  I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

We are to sow the seed, the Word of God, (Luke 8:11) and let God produce the fruit by His Holy Spirit as we labor in the Word of God. Some will fall and never take root (secular humanists), some will fall and be choked by political correctness (independents, youth), and some will take root by those who truly seek the Truth. Otherwise Jesus is a liar. Our efforts to convict and convince are in vain for it is not our call. That is the assignment of God’s Governor, the Holy Spirit. If we are led by the Spirit and not the flesh (Romans 8), our call is to preach both the Kingdom of God AND His Righteousness, expressing why the Blood of Christ was shed AND reproving the world of sin (John 3:19-21)., Yes, we are to judge, but judge without hypocrisy and with the righteousness of God (not man), according to the Word of God (Matthew 7:1-5,24). We cannot simply state that sin is wrong or that religion nullifies the Word of God. We are called to put on the armor of God, using the Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:11-18), and to “stand in the gap” (Ezekiel 22:30) between our Lord and the world.

Out labor is not in vain, if we faint not at the mountain of political correctness. Can we move the mountain without the faith of God in us? Though it seems an impossible or improbable task as citizens of America, it is not impossible with God, if we have faith in Him who has made us citizens of His Kingdom. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. - 1 Corinthians 15:58

"Those people who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants." - William Penn

So here we are in the years. America’s Founders and others who possessed and lived by Biblical moral virtue were not lax in warning future generations that if we abandoned these virtues, the American Way of Life would continue to denigrate, exactly what Jedediah Morse, known as "Father of American Geography” stated in Charleston, Massachusetts, April 25, 1799: "Whenever the pillars of Christianity shall be overthrown, our present republican forms of government, and all the blessings which flow from them, must fall with them."

"If there must be trouble, let it be in my day that my child may have peace." - Thomas Paine, 1776

As with the American Revolution, a war was needed to serve as a “revival” to restore basic freedom and liberty; another revolutionary revival is needed, and prayerfully will be that of a spiritual war.

As American Christians we can no longer be complacent, apathetic, or trusting in the present secular humanistic political makeup of our government, nor the despotic branch that rules for an immoral few.  As Thomas Paine so painstakingly appealed to his countrymen exactly why it was worth whatever the cost, it is once again necessary to keep our children and descendants from living under tyrannical rule.

“When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin

“We the people” as American Christians are not only obligated to take up this mantle, but no other faction will even consider it. We can no longer rely entirely on the Republican Party. Regretfully, since government programs have promised to take care of “we the people,” many have fallen prey, longing for their government to provide a cradle-to-grave-nanny-state of socialism, ruled and mandated by secular humanists.

"Republics are created by the virtue, public spirit, and intelligence of the citizens. They fall, when the wise are banished from the public councils, because they dare to be honest, and the profligate are rewarded, because they flatter the people, in order to betray them." - Joseph Story

This spiritual revolutionary war requires each of us confronting and challenging our American countrymen as did Thomas Paine. Without his relentless unceasing prodding, without his convincing, without the burden that was placed on his heart, the America he could envision as free from tyrannical oppression can once again be restored. It will take Biblical moral virtue to restore Biblical moral virtue to our land.

He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it." - The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

Our task, which needs to be a prominent priority, is to begin questioning and challenging the secular humanistic foundation, built on theory is as sand. If God has placed this burden within your heart (spirit), you must confront their foundation at every opportunity. “We the people” must respond when anyone promotes any political correct action that deceptively undermines God’s design, excuses personal responsibility and commitment, or assaults the free speech of Christians, etc. We must demand specifically what their basis is for violating “the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God.” We must do so without escaping with meaningless spin, evading and avoiding the specific question. As God will demand an answer of us, we must demand an answer of them.

"Independent of its connection with human destiny hereafter, the fate of republican government is indissolubly bound up with the fate of the Christian religion, and a people who reject its holy faith will find themselves the slaves of their own evil passions and of arbitrary power." Lewis Cass, A Brigadier-General in the War of 1812, Cass was Governor of the Michigan Territory where he made Indian treaties, organized townships and built roads. Appointed Secretary of War by President Andrew Jackson, Lewis Cass was a Senator, Secretary of State for President James Buchanan and the 1848 Democrat Presidential Candidate. The State of Michigan placed his statue in the U.S. Capitol's Statuary Hall.

This then is the challenge “we the people” must pose to every secular humanist, and we cannot let them inadequately and falsely dismiss this quest as promoting theocracy. The U.S. Constitution prohibits a theocracy allowing all to worship, or not, as an individual choice. This is the first pillar of freedom as defined by the literal, not the politically correct speculative First Amendment. Do not let a secular humanist respond weakly, simply dismissing the history and Christian heritage of America. They will inevitably provide lame excuses in an attempt to escape and avoid answering this challenge.

"Death is more eligible than slavery. A free-born people are not required by the religion of Jesus Christ to submit to tyranny, but may make use of such power as God has given them to recover and support their liberties..."  - The men of Marlborough, Massachusetts who took part in the Boston Tea Party

The specific question that needs to be asked is: What new and improved wisdom do secular liberal humanists use to justify violating "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God," which was the foundation of America's Founders? What is their foundation for establishing boundaries, if any, if not "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God?"

"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." Abraham Lincoln

Scriptures, history, and all the warnings from those wise men and woman who had a hand in authoring the American way of life is essentially ignored and considered of no relevance by those who are politically correct. To understand the quandary we face with political correctness we must realize that as one conservative commentator observed, history to those on the left begins when they awake each morning. The point here is we will waste our time with history and the warnings associated with discarding Biblical moral virtue. They have redefined all that is normal and natural. Thus it is imperative that we ask those who are politically correct to justify, clarify, and provide an answer as to exactly what basis do they employ for establishing boundaries, if any, when “Rights” are to be “entitled” or taken away?

So as Republicans and conservatives continue to be noise to liberal ears, preaching to the choir of like-minded Republicans and conservatives, not many converts or gain is being accomplished. The downward spiral of denigration in the home of the brave continues at a pace guaranteed to produce a society of drones.  The politically correct “living” Constitution could easily become obsolete in favor of a United Nations Global Charter. (Did you think the deceptive global warming and the going green scam wouldn’t have much of a socialistic impact?)

"Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it." - Thomas Paine

Perhaps Republicans and conservatives would be wise to once again examine the works of Thomas Paine in order to instill and reinvigorate the passion necessary to declare another Patriot’s Declaration AT ALL COSTS.

While “we the people” have been complacent, the “progressive” move to make government all things to everyone continues unabated at the expense of God’s Biblical moral virtue, and will continue do so if we don’t hold “progressives” accountable for their theories and “foundation built on sand” which provide no boundaries except that of silencing Christians.

"Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say, 'What should be the reward of such sacrifices?' ... If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animating contest of freedom...crouch down and lick the hands, which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!" - Samuel Adams

As it was in the 1770’s, freedom of speech, religion, assembly, and the right to bear arms is what the founders deemed consistent with “the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God.” Any abridgement of those “Rights” should be deemed and declared unconstitutional.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:11

All of God’s servants throughout Scripture faced adversity and those who “mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor" will become targets of those who Paul described in Romans 1.  Each of us must decide, as did those who signed the Declaration of Independence, as to whether or not the cost is either too great to accept or not. If not, consider the alternative we will be leaving our offspring. It is not a question of will you suffer or if family will turn against you, it is a question of will your descendants ever know Biblical moral virtue.

A final plea: An exhortation from Dr. Charles S. Price is still very much relevant.

Do you not remember that the scripture (II Kings 6) records that when Elisha was in Dothan that his servant was with him in his tent. Two men were in the same tent and yet they were a thousand miles apart. Two men looked out of the same tent and one saw horses of fire and the other saw horses of flesh. One was filled with faith and the other was filled with fear. Why? Because one could see with the eyes of the body and the other was looking with the eyes of the Spirit. Do you not remember how Elisha got a little impatient because of the trembling and fears of his servant? He might have sat that servant down in a chair and argued with him and tried to reason with him, but all of the arguments in the world would never have taken the fear out of his heart. Instead of that he prayed, "Lord open his eyes that he might see." God answered that prayer. Then that servant stuck his head out of that tent flap and jumped back and shouted, "Hallelujah, glory be to God! The mountains are filled with horses of fire and chariots of fire. The Lord of Hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge." (Visions - Published in the GOLDEN GRAIN - Volume 10 - Number 1 - April, 1935)

"History fails to record a single precedent in which nations subject to moral decay have not passed into political and economic decline. There has been either a spiritual awakening to overcome the moral lapse, or a progressive deterioration leading to ultimate national disaster." General Douglas MacArthur to the Salvation Army, December 12, 1951.

The Declaration of American Values Reflects Basis of America's Greatness

The Declaration of American Values reflects the consensus of the shared values that form the basis of America’s greatness. The values affirmed in this Declaration are transgenerational and foundational. They are what make America a great Nation. At this crucial time in history as we celebrate the birth of this revolutionary experiment in self-government, we believe it is necessary to declare the values that unify us and that form the fabric of the United States of America.

Read the Declaration of American Values (in PDF) and on the Liberty Counsel web site. You can join in support of these values by posting a comment on our Life, Liberty and Family blog. Click on the "post a comment" link at the bottom of the blog.

It is fitting that we contemplate these shared values on this 232nd anniversary of American independence.

On July 4, 1776, the Second Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence, which announced the colonies' separation from Great Britain. One of the signers, John Adams, believed that the day would be celebrated as a day for remembrance with "solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty."

Social Justice for Kids: A Fourth of July Special Message by Linda Harvey

We hear a lot today about “social justice,” especially in churches, but oddly, it always sounds a lot more like the Democratic Party platform than anything resembling biblical truth.

What about our kids? What’s would a “just” America look like for them?

And...how many of these would Obama support? Hmm…..

1. Kids have the right to be born, period. This is a true justice issue.

2. Kids have the right to be raised by the two parents who conceived them: mom and dad.

3. Kids have the right to have parents who are not addicted to drugs, alcohol, deviant or adulterous sex, pornography, gambling or themselves.

4. Kids have the right to health care, provided by one or more working, functional parents.

5. Kids have the right to a childhood free of Internet porn, sexual molestation, adult clothing at age 11, and condom instructions.

6. Kids have the right to be told to go outside and play.

7. Kids have the right to home-cooked meals.

8. Kids have the right to speak English at school.

9. Kids have the right to hear the Gospel in Christian-based America.

10. Kids have the right to grow up in a country safe from terrorist attacks, immigrant takeover from within, rabid racism framed as equality, or government theft disguised as excessive taxation.

11. Kids have the right to be taught by teachers who aren’t child predators, transvestites, homosexuals, or anarchists.

12. Kids have the right to learn about self-respect, not self –esteem, as the foundation for security and confidence.

13. Kids have the right to be taught to read —- not imagine, not guess, but read.

14. Kids have the right to learn that marriage is between one man and one woman, period.

15. Kids have the right to be taught how to work hard.

16. Kids have the right to be disciplined appropriately when needed—then hugged again.

17. Kids have the right to have their parents informed if they are about to visit Planned Parenthood, a school health clinic for condoms, or a school psychological counselor. Better yet, they have a right to schools that offer none of these options.

18. Kids have a right to have no provision for government- funded housing outside of their home if they get pregnant.

19. Kids have a right to safe neighborhoods, and to grow up with respect for the law.

20. Kids have the right to learn authentic American history, to respect and be grateful for America, and that it’s wonderful to be a proud American.

Let’s make sure we ADULTS provide all these things for our children and grandchildren. This is true social justice.
