SODOM’S SIN WAS SODOMY, NOT INHOSPITALITY - By BRIAN FITZPATRICK - Perhaps the most common Scripture-twisting done by the homosexualist movement is pretending that the sin of Sodom was inhospitality, rather than homosexuality. Even a cursory review of the text of Genesis 19 and related texts, however, reveals clearly that Sodom’s principal sin had to be aberrosexual in nature. Genesis 19, ironically, provides perhaps the most exuberantly over-the-top illustration of hospitality in all of literature. Nobody was a better host than Lot. The disinformation floating around about Sodom is almost comical. One BarbWire reader contended in a note to me that nobody even thought Sodom’s sin was homosexuality until 1946. I sent him links to writers decrying Sodom’s sodomy as far back as the year 400, and replied, “it’s far more accurate to say nobody doubted Sodom’s sin was homosexuality until 1946.” Let’s start with an example of the pro-inhospitality view. America's first law book, authored by founding jurist Zephaniah Swift, communicated the popular view concerning sodomy:

This crime, tho repugnant to every sentiment of decency and delicacy, is very prevalent in corrupt and debauched countries where the low pleasures of sensuality and luxury have depraved the mind and degraded the appetite below the brutal creation. Our modest ancestors, it seems by the diction of the law, had no idea that a man would commit this crime [anal intercourse with either sex]. . . . [H]ere, by force of common law, [it is] punished with death. . . . [because of] the disgust and horror with which we treat of this abominable crime.


WHAT THE FOUNDING FATHERS BELIEVED ABOUT HOMOSEXUALITY - By TIM BROWN - (Excerpts) First, note that our founding fathers would have been outraged that homosexuals would be out in the open. They knew that such perversion would both undermine and erode the moral foundations of civilization. Under the British common law, the term sodomy was used to identify same-sex relations and was a capital crime. Understand that the founders referenced Sir William Blackstone’s Commentaries on the Laws of England extensively. He was a British attorney, jurist, law professor, author, and political philosopher.
   Blackstone’s commentaries were the premier legal source used by the Founding Fathers in America. So this should carry some weight with those who claim they know what the Founding Fathers knew and wanted concerning the issue of homosexuality, but I’m guessing they will dismiss it. In Blackstone’s Book the Fourth of Public Wrongs: Of Offences against the Persons of Individuals, Chapter Fifteen, he writes the following on pages 215-216:

   IV. WHAT has been here observed…, which ought to be the more clear in proportion as the crime is the more detestable, may be applied to another offence, of a still deeper malignity; the infamous crime against nature, committed either with man or beast…. But it is an offence of so dark a nature…that the accusation should be clearly made out….
   I WILL not act so disagreeable part, to my readers as well as myself, as to dwell any longer upon a subject, the very mention of which is a disgrace to human nature. It will be more eligible to imitate in this respect the delicacy of our English law, which treats it, in it’s very indictments, as a crime not fit to be named; peccatum illud horribile, inter chriftianos non nominandum ["that horrible sin not to be named among Christians"—DM]. A taciturnity observed likewise by the edict of Constantius and Constans: ubi fcelus eft id, quod non proficit fcire, jubemus infurgere leges, armari jura gladio ultore, ut exquifitis poenis fubdantur infames, qui funt, vel qui futuri funt, rei ["When that crime is found, which is not profitable to know, we order the law to bring forth, to provide justice by force of arms with an avenging sword, that the infamous men be subjected to the due punishment, those who are found, or those who future will be found, in the deed"—DM]. Which leads me to add a word concerning its punishment.
   THIS the voice of nature and of reason, and the express law of God, determine to be capital. Of which we have a signal instance, long before the Jewish dispensation, by the destruction of two cities by fire from heaven: so that this is an universal, not merely a provincial, precept. And our ancient law in some degree imitated this punishment, by commanding such miscreants to be burnt to death; though Fleta says they should be buried alive: either of which punishments was indifferently used for this crime among the ancient Goths. But now the general punishment of all felonies is the fame, namely, by hanging: and this offence (being in the times of popery only subject to ecclesiastical censures) was made single felony by the statute 25 Hen. VIII. c. 6. and felony without benefit of clergy by statute 5 Eliz. c. 17. And the rule of law herein is, that, if both are arrived at years of discretion, agentes et confentientes pari poena plectantur

   Most Americans are completely unaware that the “Father of our country,” George Washington, who would also be considered this country’s first “Commander-in-Chief” approved the dismissal from the service at Valley Forge in 1778 of Lt. Frederick Gotthold Enslin. Why did he do this? According to the orders, which are held at the Library of Congress, Enslin was “attempting to commit sodomy” with another soldier. Under the title of “Head Quarters, V. Forge, Saturday, March 14, 1778” there is the following entry:
   At a General Court Martial whereof Colo. Tupper was President (10th March 1778) Lieutt. Enslin of Colo. Malcom’s Regiment tried for attempting to commit sodomy, with John Monhort a soldier; Secondly, For Perjury in swearing to false Accounts, found guilty of the charges exhibited against him, being breaches of 5th. Article 18th. Section of the Articles of War and do sentence him to be dismiss’d the service with Infamy. His Excellency the Commander in Chief approves the sentence and with Abhorrence and Detestation of such Infamous Crimes orders Lieutt. Enslin to be drummed out of Camp tomorrow morning by all the Drummers and Fifers in the Army never to return; The Drummers and Fifers to attend on the Grand Parade at Guard mounting for that Purpose.

School Board Kills Abstinence Program The Board of Education in Lansing, New York, voted December 16, 2004, to end an abstinence-based education program because critics complained that �nontraditional families� might be offended by the program�s emphasis on marriage.

Romans 1 (Power New Testament) Paul a servant of Messiah Jesus, a called apostle, who has been set apart to preach the Good News of God. For what  is known of God is evident among them: for God revealed Himself to them. For the unseen things, both His eternal power and divine authority, from His creation of the world, are seen clearly, being understood by His works, so they are without excuse. Because although they know God, they did not glorify Him as God or give thanks, but their thoughts became directed to worthless things and their foolish hearts and minds became covered in darkness. Although they claim to be wise they were made foolish and they transformed the glory of the incorruptible God into a likeness of an image of a corruptible man and of birds and four-footed beasts and reptiles.

For this reason God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts into uncleanness, their bodies to suffer disgrace among themselves: who exchanged the truth of God for the false and worshipped and served the created thing contrary to the Creator, Who is blessed forever, amen.

Because of this God gave them over into vile passion of disgrace, and indeed their females exchanged the natural function for that contrary to nature, and likewise also the males who neglected the natural function with the females. They were inflamed in their lustful passion with one another, males performing the unseemly deed with males and receiving the reward which was necessary for their deceit in repayment for their sin.

And since they did not see fit to have true knowledge of God, God gave them over into an unrighteous mind, to do the shameful things, since they were filled with every unrighteousness, wickedness, avarice, desire to injure. full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, evil habits, whisperers, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant, braggart, contriving evil, refusing to obey parents, without understanding, covenant breaking, without natural affection without mercy: who, although they know the ordinances of God thoroughly, because they are practicing such things as these that are worth of death, not only are they doing them but they are applauding others who do them.


Mark 7:16-23 - If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable. And He said unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without enters into the man, it cannot defile him; Because it enters not into his heart, but into the belly, and goes out into the draught, purging all meats? And he said, That which comes out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. Jesus


1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - Or do you not know that the unrighteousness will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Stop being deceived: neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor effeminate nor homosexuals nor thieves nor covetous people nor drunkards, nor abusive people, nor swindlers will inherit the Kingdom of God. (Power New Testament)


Do theses traits sound familiar? Do you have ears to hear? These are the deceptions GLSEN and Kevin Jennings use to get into our public schools and to get access to our children. These are the deceptions the ACLU and liberal Judges use to take Christ out of America. The deceptive "hate crimes" legislation of Senator Kennedy, which violates the free speech rights of Christians, promotes a sin which is "very grievous" to God, which He destroyed two cities because of it.


Sodom and Gomorrah

Genesis 18:20 - And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

Genesis 19:4-8 - But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came to you this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

2 Peter 2:6-10 - And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

Matthew 11:23-24 - And you, Capernaum, which is exalted unto heaven, shall be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done here, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you. Jesus

Luke 17:26-30 - And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Deuteronomy 23:17-18 - There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel. Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog (* keleb), into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God. (* keleb -- from an unused root means. to yelp, or else to attack; a dog; hence (by euphemism) a male prostitute: KJV -- dog.)

How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?
