NOW in the Legislature, filed and awaiting committee assignment:Nullifying the ruling - taking back our government! But now the REAL work begins! We'll keep you up to date on all developments. |
JUDICIAL CATASTROPHE IN MASSACHUSETTS -- IT'S UP TO THE PEOPLE NOW!On November 18, 2003 the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court
declared that our Constitution contains a "fundamental" right to
homosexual "marriage". Starting on May 17, Gov. Romney had same-sex
"marriage" licenses printed and threatened to fire any justice of the
peace who refused to perform these marriages. No one can possibly read the Massachusetts Constitution and find a “fundamental right” to same-sex marriage. It comes from the tortured logic of an activist court. We cannot credibly claim to live in a democracy when our most basic laws can be dismantled by four unelected political appointees. A failure of the citizens to respond appropriately would concede that we've lost control of our own government. We live here, raise our families here, and pay taxes here. We pay the salaries of our legislators so they can protect us. We demand that they do their job. GET INVOLVED WITH ARTICLE 8 ALLIANCE! |
How the court-imposed homosexual "marriage" ruling can be stopped!THIS is how it can happen. . . |
What is a bill of address? The Massachusetts Constitution, written by John Adams in 1780, anticipated that courts could get out of control, that judicial tyranny could happen. In fact, both Adams and Jefferson identified the judiciary as the biggest threat to a democracy. . . |
An unconstitutional ruling by any objective measure. The Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) ruling mandating same-sex marriage in Massachusetts was an extra- constitutional & illegitimate act by an activist court . . . |
History of bill of address in MassachusettsIt has been successfully used six times (twice for two judges at the same time). In addition, three judges resigned after a bill of address process was begun against them. . . |

The recently proposed Constitutional Amendment -- a bad choice that won't work.It seems like a bad parody. In fact, the Massachusetts Constitution does not need to be amended to "protect" us from the SJC decision. The constitution is not the problem. We, the people, are the problem. We have allowed ourselves to lose control of our government. . . |
