On a day when the Ten Commandments are is question, consider:
"To educate a person in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society." Theodore Roosevelt
Did You Know? Schools were originally set up by Churches for the purpose of Bible teaching.
In 1690 Connecticut established a Literacy Law with a fine of $25 (extremely considerable for that time) because children must be able to read if they are to read the Scriptures.
Also in 1690, Benjamin Harris' New England Primer textbook with a memorization rhyming alphabet was introduced using Scripture to teach reading and pronunciation. This Primer was reprinted and used for 210 years, until 1900. And Benjamin Rush warned if America ever removed the Bible from the classroom, all of our time will be spent fighting crime.
In 1781 Congress ruled that a new English edition of the Bible be printed and used by schools.
In 1782, the U.S. Congress voted in favor of a resolution recommending and approving the Bible for use in the schools.
Noah Webster provided the text book, History of the United States, used for over 60 years in public schools contained this statement: "The moral principles and precepts contained in the Scripture ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws." And " All the miseries and evils which men suffer from - vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war - proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible."

From the Survivors And Victims Empowered (S-A-V-E):
June is National Internet Safety month and the Advertising Council, in a joint effort with the Justice Department, has created an awareness campaign to alert parents and teens to the dangers of online sexual predators. http://www.komotv.com The new Public Service Announcements (PSAs) are available online at http://www.adcouncil.org. A report published by the Pew Internet and American Life Project http://www.pewinternet.org found 87 percent of teens use the Internet. Of those with an online presence, at least one in five have received a sexual solicitation.
You can learn the chat related acronyms, slang & web lingo by searching online for internet lingo. For example: WTGP means "want to go private?" to a private chat room. ASL means what's your age, sex and location. And POS is one every parent should know. It means "parents are looking over my shoulder."
One such web link is www.web-friend.com.

"...the world by wisdom knew not God" 1 Corinthians 1:21
"Because of our lack of understanding, we have always viewed the spiritual world as that which is to come." Charles S. Price Two Worlds
All the while, the physical world, which is temporary, was created by the spiritual world, which is eternal.
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18
Some say: "Men
wrote the Scriptures" or "Everyone interprets Scriptures differently."
The Holy Spirit inspired
the Scriptures, and the
Holy Spirit
reveals the "deep things of God." (1
Corinthians 2:10-16)
"...the world by wisdom knew not God" 1 Corinthians 1:21
"It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." Jesus - John 6:63
Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him. But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 2:10-11
Why did God say: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent." Isaiah 29:14 & 1 Corinthians 1:19
Why is the preaching of the cross and the work of the Holy Spirit hid from the "wise?" They do not come by education, they are revealed by the Holy Spirit. "...Jesus answered and said, "I thank You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in Your sight. All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him." Matthew 11:25-27
Why did Jesus tell His disciples at Passover, "I have yet many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth."
Why couldn't they "bear" to hear those things before Christ rose from the dead? "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth"
Who was the "Comforter" Jesus talked about when He said: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever." and "It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you."
What was the "promise" Jesus told His disciples to wait for? "And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry you in the city of Jerusalem, until you be endued with power from on high." Luke 24:49
Why was one of the last things Jesus said to His followers: "...wait for the promise of the Father..." John 14-16 and Acts 1-2.
Why did Peter deny Jesus three times before Jesus was crucified, and then just 50 days later preach boldly Christ crucified unto thousands on the Day of Pentecost?
Why did Jesus say concerning the Comforter: "...whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him, but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you."

Golden Grain Magazine, January 1957, The Revelation and the Mystery, A Sermon by Dr. Charles S. Price:
THERE are certain things which have been reserved until the Last Days, when "in the dispensation of the fullness of times" the Lord would lift the last veil, and we should behold the glory of His plan before its complete consummation. "And He said unto them, UNTO YOU IT IS GIVEN TO KNOW THE MYSTERY OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD; but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables." (Mark 4:11) There are two classes of people mentioned in this statement by the Lord: "unto you" and "unto them." Click here to read the complete sermon.
