Quote

"My ardent desire is, and my aim has been...to comply strictly with all our engagements foreign and domestic; but to keep the U States free from political connections with every other Country. To see that they may be independent of all, and under the influence of none. In a word, I want an American character, that the powers of Europe may be convinced we act for ourselves and not for others; this, in my judgment, is the only way to be respected abroad and happy at home." Commentary

This July while America celebrates 230 years of independence in which the Founders deemed the right to bear arms so essential, established the Second Amendment, the United Nations will meet in America and attempt to dissolve that right. These United Nations and liberal secularists which are bent on making the world flat by eradicating the sovereignty, power, and glory of any and all nations to instead establish a world of drones vs. a free people subject to the dictates of the unelected Security Council.

We're From the U.N. and We Want Your Guns - Jun 16, 2006 - by Mary Katharine Ham - Wayne LaPierre Discusses the The Global War on Your Guns: Inside the U.N.'s Plan to Destroy the Bill of Rights - The U.N. will gather in New York City this July for the 2006 Small Arms Review Conference. Doesn’t the name alone make you nervous? The U.N. is “reviewing” guns. If you don’t own one, doesn’t it make you want to go out and buy one just so you can be ready for whatever Kofi’s got planned? ...“All they offer is a global socialist fantasy…If there were no guns, there would be no poverty, there would be no child hungry, there would be no violence. It’s the same global socialist fantasy we saw in the 20th century, “ he said. “Under the U.N. gun-ban policy, they have no solution for when the government goes bad; they have no answer for how to be liberated from a tyrant or a dictator; they have no answer for what oppressed people should do…Their whole philosophy is give up your arms and your freedoms and we’ll protect you.”...But why should we be scared in the U.S., I asked him. Doesn’t our Constitution override any international treaty the U.N. could impose upon us? According to LaPierre, the U.N. plans can find their way into America in one of several ways. A treaty would require approval by two thirds of the Senate. An international agreement, however, is a lower hurdle, requiring only a simply majority. But, if neither of those succeeds, much of the U.N. plan can be implemented through executive agreement—the President putting policy to work through his agency heads. ...

Preserving Second Amendment Rights

U.N. vs. GOP - Jun 15, 2006 - by Robert Novak - Following unprecedented criticism of U.S. popular and governmental attitudes toward the United Nations, the world organization's second-ranking official ended his June 6 speech in New York with this rhetorical question: "Who will campaign in 2008 for a new multilateral national security?" Unbelievably but unmistakably, U.N. Deputy Secretary General Mark Malloch Brown was injecting himself into the next American presidential election.

Fox News Channel's Eric Shawn: 'How the U.N. Sabotages America's Security' - Recently Eric Shawn, Fox News Channel senior correspondent and anchor and author of a new book entitled The U.N. Exposed: How the United Nations Sabotages America's Security, joined CFIF Corporate Counsel & Senior Vice President Renee Giachino on "Your Turn -- Meeting Nonsense With Common Sense" to discuss his book. What follows are excerpts from the interview that aired on WEBY 1330 AM, Northwest Florida's Talk Radio. Read more now.

Claudia Rosett, Journalist-in-Residence at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, on U.S. Demands for United Nations Reforms: "The U.N.'s real problem today is not that it has been hit with unfounded accusations, but that one after another, allegations of U.N. misconduct, mismanagement, conflicts of interest, and corruption have turned out to be true. ...The real question, as [U.N. Secretary General] Annan and Malloch Brown denigrate U.S. demands for reform, while holding their hands out for American tax money, is whether in this age of fascist movements, terror tactics, and weapons of mass murder, we can afford the indulgence of coddling as our leading global institution this sorry excuse for what was meant to be an honest forum for free and peace-loving nations."

The United Nations once again failed to live up to its name this week as Secretary-General Kofi Annan blamed Middle East violence on—surprise, surprise—Israel. Annan was referring to the deaths of seven members of an Arab family vacationing on a Gaza beach when Israel launched retaliatory strikes following a series of rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip. While an investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing, Annan seems to have adopted Howard Dean's guilty-until-proven-innocent approach. Here's the text of his rebuke: "The Secretary-General is deeply disturbed at the killing of civilians, including women and children, on a beach in Gaza earlier today, reportedly by Israeli forces, and calls for a full investigation. He extends his condolences to the bereaved families of the victims. The Secretary-General reminds all concerned of their obligations under international humanitarian law to avoid placing civilians in danger, while urging the utmost restraint to avoid further escalation and bloodshed." Later, elements of the ruling Hamas group barraged Israel with homemade rockets in their own rebuke of the Israeli strike. Any statement from Annan denouncing Hamas' "placing civilians in danger" and engaging in "further escalation and bloodshed" was, predictably, nowhere to be seen or heard. So, let's just hope the terrorists learn to respect their obligations under "international humanitarian law." PatriotPost 06-24

Speech by U.N. Leader Draws Angry Response From U.S. Wednesday, June 07, 2006 - In the speech, Malloch Brown said the United States relies on the United Nations as a diplomatic tool but doesn't defend it against criticism at home, a policy of "stealth diplomacy" that he called unsustainable. He lamented that the good works of the U.N. are largely lost because "much of the public discourse that reaches the U.S. heartland has been largely abandoned to its loudest detractors such as Rush Limbaugh and Fox News." ...Malloch Brown used the speech to defend U.N. peacekeeping missions in 18 places round the globe. He criticized the United States for voting against the creation of a new Human Rights Council. It was joined by just three nations, with 170 countries voting for the body. (EarsToHear.net note: Wall Street Journal 2003: "The [UN Commission on Human Rights] is the primary UN organ responsible for human-rights protection. The current chair is Libya. ...[T]hree of the State Department's list of state sponsors of terrorism are current members -- Cuba, Sudan and Syria.)

Christian Coalition Washington Weekly Review 6-17-06 - U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton Said This Week That America's Case Against the #2 Official at the United Nations, Mark Malloch Brown, for His Vile Remarks Against the American People is Not Over - On Wednesday, United States Ambassador to the United Nations, John R. Bolton, continued to condemn the recent remarks by the #2 official at the United Nations, Mark Malloch Brown denigrating the American people. Ambassador Bolton said, "The fundamental problem is the illegitimacy of his commenting about the affairs of a member government and the people of that government." Earlier this month, Ambassador Bolton urged that Secretary-General Kofi Annan repudiate Mr. Brown's "condescending" remarks about Americans. In his remarks, Mr. Brown blasted Rush Limbaugh and Fox News for criticizing the United Nations and trying to influence "Middle America" against the United Nations. Ambassador Bolton said, "I spoke to the secretary-general this morning. I said, 'I've known you since 1989, and I'm telling you this is the worst mistake by a senior U.N. official that I have seen in that entire time." Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, (R-TN), said: "For a senior official at the United Nations to criticize the United States and cast aspersions on the intelligence of the American people is unacceptable. I call on Mr. Malloch Brown and Secretary-General Kofi Annan to publicly repudiate these condescending remarks."

Cut UN Funding

Expose Fake UN "Reform": Click below to Tell Congress to Support Witholding Funding from the UNHRC!

Take Action Now!

This CONSERVATIVE ALERT is a special message from RightMarch.com:

ALERT: In 1946, the United Nations Commission on Human Rights was created to monitor and prevent the abuse of human rights.

It failed miserably.

Why? Because the Commission lost its credibility as an instrument for the promotion and protection of human rights. The Commission instead allowed repressive regimes, like Cuba, Sudan, Libya, Belarus, China, and Zimbabwe, to shield themselves from criticism for their own human rights violations.

So FINALLY, on March 15, 2006, the Commission was replaced with a United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). Great idea, right?

Nope.

Remember, we're talking about the UN here. So, while making superficial structural changes, there has been NO reform. In fact, the new elected membership includes nine countries that the democracy watchdog Freedom House designates as "not free," including China, Cuba, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Pakistan, Tunisia, Algeria, Cameroon, and Azerbaijan.

And WE are paying for this??!!!

Thankfully, someone is trying to do something about it. Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-FL) has introduced legislation (H.R. 5476) to withhold U.S. funding from the United Nations Human Rights Council because of the membership of human rights abusers on the Council. But he needs OUR help to get enough support to push this bill through!

Take Action Now! In the upcoming fiscal year, about $500,000 a year of our UN dues will go to the UNHRC. The U.S. should NOT support the UNHRC until it upholds the ideals of the UN Charter and the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, and its membership is made up of free and democratic nations.

H.R. 5476 requires the Secretary of State to withhold from the U.S. contribution to our UN dues an amount equal to the U.S. percentage of the cost of the UN Human Rights Council. Please click below NOW to send a FREE message to your Congressman, telling him or her to support witholding funding from the UNHRC:

NOTE: Be sure to send this Alert to EVERYONE you know who wants to tell Congress to CUT funding for the UN Human Rights Council. Thank you!

Sincerely,

William Greene, President

Lessons of the Holy Spirit
A Guide for Entering the Kingdom of God

Discover Why it Pleased God to Hide His Kingdom from the Wise

It “pleased God” and “seemed good” to Him that we cannot know God through human wisdom or education. We can only know God through His Holy Spirit.

Education vs. revelation: Why we need to discern the difference between worldly wisdom and spiritual wisdom. "It is the Spirit that quickens, the flesh profits nothing."

Challenging both secular "wisdom" and Christian "doctrines." “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” Do you wish to know Him as He knows you? “For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
