The New York Times And The Gospel Truth by Robert Knight - The New York Times has been in the forefront of the conservative Christian-bashing, running voluminous pieces that accuse churches of avoiding taxes and warning darkly that the Christian Right is on the verge of turning the United States into a Talibanesque theocracy. As liberal politicians pose at churches, salt their speeches with Scripture they are getting powerful cover from the mainstream media. The biggest help they are getting, apart from credulous acceptance of their sudden spiritual enthusiasm, is the media's demonizing of conservative Christians. Religion's okay only if it mirrors liberal opinion.

Illegal Aliens Kill More Americans Than Iraq War (Family Security Matters) As noted in Illegal Alien Crime Wave in Full Swing, in April 2005, the GAO released a report on a study of 55,322 illegal aliens incarcerated in federal, state, and local facilities during 2003.  It found the following: Of the 55,322 illegal aliens studied, researchers found that they were arrested a total of 459,614 times, averaging about 8 arrests per illegal alien. ...Using the mean of Mr. Johnson�s range, there are 2,158 murders committed annually by illegal aliens � crimes that never would have happened if they weren�t here.  This is part of the collateral damage of tolerating illegal immigration. ...In any case, with 267,000 illegal aliens incarcerated as of 2003, just the incarceration costs at $25,000 per inmate per year is $6.7 BILLION per year.  We�ll take a wild guess that you didn�t realize we were spending that much.  Do you have any better ideas on what we could be spending $6.7 billion a year on rather than providing three meals a day and color TV to a bunch of illegal alien prisoners?  While you think about that, here is another one to ponder: how much money would we have saved since 1980 if there were still only 9,000 incarcerated illegal aliens rather than 267,000? 

Justice Department Covered Up For Sandy Berger  (Judicial Watch) It wasn�t until reading a Congressional report published earlier this year that commission members got the full scope of the severity of Berger�s actions. The scathing 61-page document said that the Justice Department cannot guarantee that Berger did not remove original copies of highly classified terrorism documents from the National Archives and the full extent of what he actually took will never be known.

Mt. Soledad Cross Victory: ACLU Loss  - Thomas More Law Center - ANN ARBOR, MI � The California Supreme Court, yesterday, affirmed the precedent-setting decision of a California appellate court, which upheld the right of the people of San Diego to transfer the Mt. Soledad veterans memorial and cross to the federal government. At the same time, the Court denied the ACLU�s attempt to prevent the publication of the lower court decision favorable to the cross and veterans memorial. The ACLU was seeking to have the decision suppressed so that it would not be used against them in future lawsuits.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) is launching a new Web site to answer parents' questions about Internet safety and computers.  Read More Here  The free service features an interactive knowledge-base where parents can use natural language search to find information.  If that's not enough, there's an "ask the experts" button that lets parents type in a question which will be answered by e-mail by real-life analysts at the center's Alexandria, Va., headquarters. NCMEC's new site,  www.NetSmartz411.org,  is designed to help parents get a clue as to what their kids may be doing online and how to help them avoid potentially dangerous or uncomfortable situations.  The service, according to NCMEC CEO Ernie Allen, will give parents "direct access to NCMEC experts who can respond to their specific questions and concerns to open up the lines of communication to help bridge the technology gap."

...Each square inch of your skin contains approximately 35 miles of nerves. An adult body contains 75,000 miles of blood vessels, serving more than 60 billion body cells. Some vessels are so microscopically small that only one blood cell at the time can squeeze through. If all of your blood vessels could be cut open and laid side by side they would cover an area the size of a football field. During its 120 day life-span, each blood cell makes about 75,000 non-stop round trips from the heart to other parts of the body.
