Upfront - One Nation Going Under?
Patrick Henry is still remembered
for his words, "Give me liberty or give me death." But in current
textbooks the context of these words are deleted. Here is what he actually
said: "An appeal to arms and the God of hosts is all that is left us. But
we shall not fight our battle alone. There is a just God that presides over
the destinies of nations. The battle sir, is not to the strong alone, is
life so dear and peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains
and slavery? I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me
liberty or give me death."
The following year, 1776, Henry wrote this: "It cannot be emphasized too
strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by
religionists, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For that reason alone,
people of other faiths have been afforded the freedom of worship here."
October 12, 1816 John Jay, Americas 1st Supreme Court Justice set forth in clear and concise terms his belief that Americas leaders must be first and foremost, Christian: "Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers."
The American Bible Society was started by an act of Congress and John Adams, our second president, served as its first leader.
Twelve of the original 13 colonies incorporated the entire Ten Commandments into their civil and criminal codes.

Christian Seniors Praise Justice Department First Freedom Project Anti-Christian Bigotry Most Widespread Hate Crime - The Christian Seniors Association called the U.S. Justice Departments First Freedom Project an important initiative which comes at a time when America is experiencing a hate crime wave of anti-Christian bigotry.
God Save The United States and This Honorable Court Jay Sekulow - The Supreme Court has an important opportunity to put an end to federal taxpayer lawsuits by church-state separationists that is long overdue.
At the Alfred M. Landon Lecture Series, 1982, Ronald Reagan stated: "We can't have it both ways. We can't expect God to protect us in a crisis and just leave Him over there on the shelf in our day-to-day living. I wonder if sometimes He isn't waiting for us to wake up, He isn't maybe running out of patience." At Reunion Arena in Dallas, 1984, Ronald Reagan stated: "America needs God more than God needs America. If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under."

Alliance For Marriage Foundation - Until exposed in the current issue of Atlantic Monthly (March 2007 -They Wont Know What Hit Them a secret $15 million dollar campaign targeting 70 pro-marriage state legislators in states across the nation remained completely unreported in the media. Experts on state politics agree that never before have we seen this level of systematic spending on a single issue at the level of state politics. As a point of comparison, the infamous Enron spent a total of $2 million in state races nationally. ...Their stated goal was to destroy state legislators who championed both marriage and democracy as a remedy to activist lawsuits seeking to destroy marriage in court. ...According to the Atlantic piece, Gill and his activist donor network were overwhelmingly successful -- defeating 50 out of the 70 state legislators they had targeted. In addition, their stealth campaign did the next to impossible: completely flipping political control of at least one legislative chamber in four states they had targeted (Iowa, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Washington).
They Wont Know What Hit Them by Joshua Green The software mogul Tim Gill has a mission: Stop the Rick Santorums of tomorrow before they get started. How a network of gay political donors is stealthily fighting sexual discrimination and reshaping American politics.

Dr. James C. Dobson, evangelical leaders challenge global warming rhetoric - Letter urges National Association of Evangelicals to restrain its D.C spokesman. In a letter (PDF) to the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE), James C. Dobson, Ph.D., chairman of Focus on the Family Action, joined other pro-family leaders in urging the NAE to refrain from taking a position on the controversial and divisive topic of global warming and other issues. NAE official Richard Cizik, who works in the groups Washington, D.C., office, has told the media its indisputable that human activity has contributed to global warming and has encouraged evangelicals to make it a top issue. On other occasions, he's said evangelicals must confront population control. We ask, Dobson and the others wrote, how is population control going to be achieved, if not by promoting abortion, the distribution of condoms to the young and even by infanticide in China and elsewhere? Is this where Richard Cizik would lead us? To demonstrate that not all evangelicals are on board with global-warming alarmism, the letter references a statement by the Interfaith Stewardship Alliance (PDF) that challenges common assumptions about global warming.
Christians, not Liberals, freed the slaves - Both in the British Empire, and then in the United States, it was the decades-long moral work of Christian preachers and statesmen that abolished slavery in the English-speaking world, long before others followed suit. Muslims still today condone and practice slavery as a business and as a way of life.
The Problem Lies in Islamism -- Not Us by Rabbi Aryeh Spero - Many in the West are shocked and horrified by the aggressive and wild outbursts coming from members of the Islamic communities on the streets of Europe and elsewhere. They see beheadings, shootings in Holland, rampaging young men burning down French streets, trains blown up in Spain and England, and Islamic women holding up signs in European public squares announcing the imminent takeover of Western cities and countries under the banner of Islamic supremacy and jihad. Churches in Asia are being burned and nuns shot dead in the street.
The Secret By Don

- I had never watched an
entire episode of Oprah until her program
on "The Secret." In the promo for the show, Oprah announced that the program
would present "the secret" to making more money, losing weight, finding the
love of your life and achieving job success. Who could resist hearing more
about such a claim, especially when it is made by the most influential woman
in America and touted as the key to all her success? Apparently I wasn't
alone. After the show, Oprah's website was overwhelmed, e-mails poured in, and
within hours The Secret had become the best-selling book in the nation.
'Back to the Bible' encourages Christians to dig into God's Word Woodrow Kroll of Back to the Bible says a new survey shows biblical illiteracy is one of the biggest problems facing the Church in America. According to the Christian ministry president, research shows that the average American owns three copies of the Bible, but doesn't read any of them.
Sunni and Shiite division has come to America - An author and expert on Islam says the burgeoning Muslim population in places like Dearborn, Michigan, has led to the same kind of Sunni-Shiite divisions that have characterized the Middle East. But despite the division, he says both groups consider the U.S. as "The Great Satan" and want to see it dominated by Islam.

"School Kids March In 'Gay' Parade Protested: Angry Citizens Point Out Students' Exposure To Pornographic Scenes." The 'Value' of Public Schooling - (Liberty Coalition) - There are two major values of public schooling, from the perspective of government officials. One, this institution provides the means by which government officials can slowly but surely, over a period of 12 years, mold the mindsets of children into one of conformity and obedience to authority. Second, public schooling enables government officials to fill childrens minds with officially approved political, historical, and economic doctrine. ...In the public-school system, families are required to submit their children to a state-approved education.
Public Schools: Parental Rights in Jeopardy - By Paul Weyrich - One of the clearest measures of a society can be found in its public school system. For example, it is no accident that in totalitarian states, such as North Korea, what may be taught comes directly from the government. Children are indoctrinated early to believe their "Dear Leader" never is wrong even though many do not have enough food to eat. And in war-torn countries or those which are deeply divided by religious differences there are few, if any, functioning public schools.
"A primary job of the federal government is to unify Americans. Besides being our native tongue, English is the language of commerce worldwide. Every student should be able to speak it fluently. That's the only way to ensure that no child gets left behind." Ed Feulner, Heritage Foundation
Fisher Ames, the founding father who actually wrote the First Amendment, expressed his belief that the Bible was to play a prominent role in public education when he said: "It has been the custom of late years to put a number of little books into the hands of children, containing fables and moral lessons. Why then, if these books for children must be retained, should not the bible regain the place it once held as a school book? Its morals are pure, its examples captivating and noble. The reverence for the sacred book that is thus impressed lasts long (T)he bible will justly remain the standard of language as well as faith." And "We are spending less time in the classroom on the Bible, which should be the principle text in our schools. The Bible states these great moral lessons better than any other manmade book."

- What is the Kingdom of God?Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:5-6
John 18:36 - Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Know this: A kingdom is not a democracy! For example, the laws of America, based upon the U.S. Constitution begin with "We the people..." and can and have been amended. The Law of God is The Word of God and can never change.
In a democracy the people elect and cooperate with a president and their government. In a kingdom, what the king says is a decree upon those residing in the kingdom.
The inhabitants of the kingdom trust the King because the King, as a Lord, is personally responsible for the well-being of everyone in His Kingdom. People desire to enter the Kingdom and are willing to obey and be subjects of the King in order to reap the benefits (care and protection) of the Kingdom. This actually places a burden on the King of the Kingdom to provide these benefits, whereby the inhabitants will respect and trust that through obedience to His Laws, they can rely on the Lord to care and protect them. (Note: Those outside the Kingdom are not citizens of the Kingdom, but aliens, and can not be partakers of the citizen benefits of God's divine nature.) This same kingdom principle is how God designed marriage, where the woman should be able to safely rely on the husband for her care and protection.
Read carefully about this "great mystery" as Paul describes the relationship between man and wife as being analogous with Christ and the Church. (Many seem to stop at Ephesians 5:1 and completely miss what is expected of the man as being lord over his household, in light of what the Father expected of Jesus as Lord of Lords over the inhabitants of the Kingdom of God. He that has ears to hear, let him hear.)

The Revelation of the Mystery - A Sermon By Dr Charles S. Price - Published in the GOLDEN GRAIN - Volume 31 - Number 8 - January, 1957
THERE are certain things which have been reserved until the Last Days, when "in the dispensation of the fullness of times" the Lord would lift the last veil, and we should behold the glory of His plan before its complete consummation. "And He said unto them, UNTO YOU IT IS GIVEN TO KNOW THE MYSTERY OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD; but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables." (Mark 4:11)
There are two classes of people mentioned in this statement by the Lord: "unto you" and "unto them." It is given unto some to know! It is not a product of human understanding. The truth is unfolded, unveiled, and revealed just as truly as the revelation of the identity of Christ broke upon the horizon of the happy heart of Peter. Remember the words of Jesus, "Father, I thank You that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent, and revealed them unto babes." (Click here to read entire sermon.)
