April 26, 2007: Republican Congressman Louis Gohmert of Texas asked, "If a minister was giving a sermon, a Bible study or any kind of written or spoken message saying that homosexuality was a serious sin and a person in the congregation went out and committed a crime against a homosexual would the minister be charged with the crime of incitement?" The Democrats continued to explain why they could not accept the amendment. Republican Congressman Dan Lungren from California continuously shot down their answer.  He said, "What is your answer?  Would there be incitement charges against the pastor?" War on Terror - (Radical Islam?)

Democrats Skip Briefings, No MSM Reports, Warner Todd Huston (The Conservative Voice) But here is the thing; they simply cannot claim to "support the troops" if they won't even attend briefings held by the General in command of those troops. If the Democrats don't attend these briefings they simply cannot claim to have the knowledge they need to make decisions necessary for policy direction. Unless, that is, they have fully decided, regardless of what is actually going on on the ground where our troops are facing the enemy, that all is lost.

Vice President Dick Cheney “Senator Reid has taken many positions on Iraq. He has threatened that if the President vetoes the current pending supplemental legislation... he will send up Senator Russ Feingold’s bill to de-fund Iraq operations altogether. Yet only last November, Senator Reid said there would be no cutoff of funds for the military in Iraq. So in less than six months’ time, Senator Reid has gone from pledging full funding for the military, then full funding but with conditions, and then a cutoff of funding—three positions in five months on the most important foreign-policy question facing the nation and our troops...Senator Reid said the troop surge was against the recommendations of the Iraq Study Group. That is plainly false. The Iraq Study Group report was explicitly favorable toward a troop surge to secure Baghdad. Senator Reid said there should be a regional conference on Iraq. Apparently, he doesn’t know that there is going to be one next week... What’s most troubling about Senator Reid’s comments... is his defeatism. Indeed, last week, he said the war is already lost.”

Senator Clinton's Double Standards (FRC Action Update) For someone who so quickly condemned Don Imus, Senator Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) has had no qualms accepting money from celebrities who spew similar obscenities. Last week, FRC Action sent out an alert asking Clinton's Exploratory Committee to return the $800,000 it raised with the help of Timbaland, a rapper infamous for his vulgar and profane lyrics. In the alert we included the only visible e-mail address on Clinton's web site so that our friends could contact her office and ask her to return the Timbaland proceeds. The reaction from her campaign was both swift and surprising, considering that it included even more profanity than a Timbaland song. The recipient of thousands of your e-mails at the campaign was extremely upset--and he let us know in language so offensive the FCC would blush. Does anyone else see the irony in Clinton's committee using profanity to defend profanity? These two videos are so hot that national homosexual activists forced YouTube to remove them. But you can see them here. Since we posted this on Thursday, we have literally gotten feedback from AROUND THE WORLD. See with your own eyes what goes on in elementary school classrooms in more and more public schools. This is how the youngest of children get brainwashed by the most odious propaganda techniques - in both public and private school classrooms - and most parents don't have a clue of what's going on. And this is why David Parker is spending his savings to take this to federal court. You will cry when you see this. This is why you need to be involved!

Rewriting History a Classroom at a Time Fred Thompson (Townhall.com) America is a free country and we do not tell people what they can believe or say. We should realize, however, that there are people in America who are also telling their children that the holocaust is a lie and that those who say otherwise are their enemies. We cannot prevent them from doing so, but we also cannot let them promote their agenda by claiming they are victimized by historical facts. This would be a good place to quote an important British writer, George Orwell, who wrote, "Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past." Even in America, our children are often taught a watered down, inoffensive and culturally sensitive version of events ranging from the Crusades to the battle at the Alamo. It's time for people who believe that they have a stake in Western civilization and its traditions to get a little backbone -- even if it offends somebody.

Socialization: Homeschooling vs. Schools (CBN.com) How does homeschooling socialization match up with what is offered in the schools? ...Research presented at the National Christian Home Educators Leadership Conference divulged that homeschool graduates far exceeded their public and private school counterparts in college by ranking the highest in 42 of 63 indicators of collegiate success. Then again, if the 'Hate Crimes" Bill passes in the House as it already has in the Senate then YOUR children will be FORCED to "learn" that homosexuality is "normal." The Christian silent majority will either become the salt of the earth THEIR LORD called them to be and shine the Light of Christ or remain apathetic and allow the darkness of GLSEN to FREELY and LEGALLY promote sin in the classroom. The will of the uninformed Jonah Goldberg (Townhall.com) Huge numbers of Americans don't know jack about their government or politics. According to a Pew Research Center survey released last week, 31 percent of Americans don't know who the vice president is, fewer than half are aware that Nancy Pelosi is the speaker of the House, a mere 29 percent can identify "Scooter" Libby as the convicted former chief of staff of the vice president, and only 15 percent can name Harry Reid when asked who is the Senate majority leader.

Then you, like Brandy Bridges of Ellsworth, Maine, could be looking at a cost of about $2,004.28, which doesn’t include the costs of frayed nerves and risks to health. ...Don’t vacuum bulb debris because a standard vacuum will spread mercury-containing dust throughout the area and contaminate the vacuum. Ventilate the area and reduce the temperature. Wear protective equipment like goggles, coveralls and a dust mask. ...It’s quite odd that environmentalists have embraced the CFL, which cannot now and will not in the foreseeable future be made without mercury. Given that there are about 4 billion lightbulb sockets in American households, we’re looking at the possibility of creating billions of hazardous waste sites such as the Bridges’ bedroom. ...As each CFL contains 5 milligrams of mercury, at the Maine “safety” standard of 300 nanograms per cubic meter, it would take 16,667 cubic meters of soil to “safely” contain all the mercury in a single CFL. While CFL vendors and environmentalists tout the energy cost savings of CFLs, they conveniently omit the personal and societal costs of CFL disposal.
