Upfront - The United States of America - A Judicial Monarchy The Confusion between "Your Honor" and "Your Majesty" by Dan McCullough of the Christian Newswire submits the following for publication and is available for comment: How would most people briefly describe the United States of America, as a republic, a democracy, as a free nation where the people decide how they are governed and what laws they are to live by? I disagree with all of the above. We are no longer a free nation ruled by the will of the people. We live under a judicial monarchy where rogue activist judges legislate from the bench and tell us how we are to live and determine on their own what laws and statutes we are to adhere to.

Email the FCC Commissioners and tell them to guarantee the creation of a free, family-friendly wireless internet service! It is vital that the FCC commissioners immediately hear that you strongly support the creation of a porn-free wireless service. Liberal "free speech" activists want to keep the "no charge" aspect of the service, but they are working very hard to kill the requirement for family-friendly filtering. It is critical that the FCC commissioners hear that you don't want this essential, family-friendly obligation stripped out. At Family Research Council (FRC), we want both free and porn-free. This service has the potential to be a "game changing" technology because it would bring competitive forces to bear against wireless providers who carry porn.
Petition - The Search for a Christian Vice President - A Christian group called the Anti-Defamation Commission wants a Christian as Vice President. They have started an online petition and will send the results to each presidential campaign.
Petition - Drill Here. Drill Now. Send a message to Congress that we need real solutions to stop the pain Americans are feeling at the pump. more than 280,000 people have signed the petition urging Congress to start drilling for oil domestically. Next week, it’s our goal to deliver more than 1,000,000 signatures to the United States Senate as a first step toward stopping the destructive Warner-Lieberman bill which would raise the cost of gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation fuel, natural gas and coal.
MissionAmerica.com: MTV is peddling increasingly dark and vile material to our kids. Here are two items I came across recently. Prepare to be stunned. 1. Explicit bisexual dating game--Tila Tequila and A Shot At Love - Tila Tequila is the central figure of a reality show where heterosexual guys and lesbians compete for her affections. It's gross, group garbage, complete with necking scenes of pairs of women. No, I am not kidding....watching is worse than imagining it. 2. Paganism and Teen Witches--"positive and progressive" (Be sure to watch the video and notice the transgendered appearance of the main character.) Far From Devil Worship And 'Harry Potter,' Young Witches Explain What They're Really About - These young witches' beliefs include respect for nature, equality of the sexes and karma. - Contact information for MTV: MTV Networks 1515 Broadway New York, NY 10036 Phone: 212-258-8000 Fax: 212-258-6175 - Ask for Tony DiSanto,Executive Vice President, Programming (he's in charge of shows like Tila Tequila). We are working on finding a contact e-mail for him. ALSO--call your local cable company. Tell them you'd like a cable package that does NOT include MTV. Disney's annual pro-homosexual bash The Florida Family Association is alerting the public that Disney's annual "gay day" at Orlando's Magic Kingdom is coming up soon. "June 7 is the day when thousands of homosexuals and lesbians [and] transgenders will converge on the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida, to basically demonstrate their passions, their lifestyles in front of a captive audience of tens of thousands of children and unsuspecting parents and families who will go to that theme park and have no idea what they're going to experience that day." That's David Caton, president of the Florida Family Association, issuing a warning to those unsuspecting families. He recalls what he viewed outside Disney's gates at a previous "gay day" celebration.
Dr. Dobson's reaction: Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter signed SB 200, a dangerous piece of legislation that allows any predator, bisexual, cross-dresser or homosexual or heterosexual male to use any public women's restroom. Dr. James Dobson said, "It represents a payback to Tim Gill and two billionaires who have essentially ‘bought’ the state Legislature with enormous campaign contributions." Read more about Tim Gill in Citizen magazine.
Perspective: Reluctant Rebel It's time to start booing loudly to voice our disapproval at the crumbling culture all around us and to take action to rebuild it. It's our turn to be rebels. ...Thanks to my generation, "free love" is widely practiced. Now it's just called sex. In fact, love often doesn't enter into it at all. At younger and younger ages, in middle schools, high schools and colleges across the country, it's common practice for couples to "hook up" for casual, meaningless sexual encounters. Perhaps, in Orwellian fashion, the words "shame" and "promiscuity" will simply disappear from future dictionaries. ...Imagine a world in which everybody decided for themselves what was right and wrong. No, wait. Just look around. Free love and self-indulgence, it turns out, come with a price: abortion, fatherless children, devastating and sometimes deadly sexually transmitted diseases, broken families, ever-increasing teen suicide rates, rampant drug and alcohol abuse by teens, childhood innocence lost.
The Treaty of Lisbon is another version of the failed European Union Constitution. Can a Catholic be in favor of this treaty that will soon be put to the vote in Ireland? Click here for the answer. A Day of Infamy or Glory? June 12 could go down in history as the date when Europe officially lost the Faith. ...When the European Union introduced its anti-Christian constitution, voters in two countries turned it down. Now it is back in a different form. It’s called the Treaty of Lisbon. It’s the same idea but different packaging. To ratify it, most member nations must submit it to their respective congresses – except Ireland. Irish law makes it mandatory that such treaties be put to the vote. It is the only country where the Treaty of Lisbon will be put to a vote. The TFP sister organization in Ireland has just issued a document showing why a Catholic cannot be in favor of the Treaty of Lisbon.

Senator Obama's Church Resignation Points to the Fact That His Membership Appeared to be Just a 'Political Commodity' It has become painfully transparent that Senator Obama left his church only after his membership began to negatively impact his run for President. Before the recent controversies surrounding Rev. Jeremiah Wright and others, Senator Obama spoke in glowing terms about his relationship with Trinity United Church of Christ and his pastor which appeared on the pages of his campaign website. Those pages have now been removed. The difficult question that must be asked is, "What kind of person uses their church membership for political gain and then abandons it when it becomes a political liability?" Asked another way, "How can Senator Obama be trusted to act with integrity and courage on the critical and pressing issues facing this nation, when he used his own church to advance his political career and left it when it became politically expedient?"
Obama Voting record apathetic,
Sounding the alarm about Barack Hussein Obama's Global Poverty Act. Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly recently wrote: "Obama's costly, dangerous and altogether bad bill (S. 2433)... would commit U.S. taxpayers to spend 0.7 percent of our Gross Domestic Product on foreign handouts..." Schlafly also wrote: "The Global Poverty Act would be a giant step toward the [United Nation's] Millennium Goals of global governance and international taxes on Americans." Joe Farah, publisher of WorldNetDaily.com said of Barack Hussein Obama's Global Poverty Act: "Now comes an even grander proposal by Barack Obama. It's called the Global Poverty Act, that would, in the next decade, transfer at least $845 billion of U.S. taxpayer money overseas. Think of Johnson's failed war on poverty going international -- directed not by Americans but by the United Nations." But don't take Schlafly's or Farah's or Kincaid's word for it. Read what is in Barack Hussein Obama's Global Poverty Act for yourself: Specifically, Barack Hussein Obama's Global Poverty Act would require that the President: "acting through the Secretary of State, and in consultation with the heads of other appropriate departments and agencies of the United States Government, international organizations, international financial institutions, the governments of developing and developed countries, United States and international nongovernmental organizations, civil society organizations, and other appropriate entities, shall develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to further... the reduction of global poverty, the elimination of extreme global poverty, and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goal." In fact the United Nations Millennium Declaration talks about much more than the eradication of poverty. Kincaid yet again: "Those U.N. protocols would make U.S. law on issues ranging from the 2nd Amendment to energy usage and parental rights all subservient to United Nations whims." But that's not all, since we're on the subject, the United Nation's Millennium Development Goal -- proclaimed in 2000 -- contains plans for additional assaults on your wallet. Among those goals are: a "currency transfer tax;" a "tax on the rental value of land and natural resources"; a "royalty on worldwide fossil energy projection -- oil, natural gas, coal;" "fees for the commercial use of the oceans, fees for airplane use of the skies, fees for use of the electromagnetic spectrum, fees on foreign exchange transactions, and a tax on the carbon content of fuels." a "standing peace force;" a "UN arms register of all small arms and light weapons," " peace education... at all levels from preschool through university;" the "eradication of poverty" through the "redistribution [of] wealth and land," cancellation of "the debts of developing countries," and "a fair distribution of the earth's resources." How do you suppose the United Nations expects to "redistribute" the land and the wealth?
To The Democrats, You're Just A Groupie By Michael Reagan - The big difference between Republicans and liberal Democrats is the way each party views people. Republicans see us as individuals and respect our God-given human dignity. To liberal Democrats, we're not individuals; we're members of a herd with all the dignity of a cow or pig dependent on its owner for daily rations of hay or slop. Democrats see us as being white or as blacks or as straights or as gays, or as lesbians or as heterosexuals, or as rich or poor, or as Christians or as Jews or as Muslims, or as young or as old, as working or as retired, or as housewives or as career women. They submerge us into pools that define us as members of groups instead of as what we are as God sees us, -- as any father sees his children -- each being different from one another, and each child being a separate and distinct individual with his or her own specific talents and abilities, and all deserving of his love. Republicans see us all as Americans, all united in our desire to see this nation grow and prosper, and be safe and secure, and to provide opportunities to everyone no matter our group membership.
State Attorneys General Ask California Court to Delay Same-Sex 'Marriage' by Jennifer Mesko, managing editor - Twenty-two states could be vulnerable to judicial activism in California. Attorneys general from nine states have filed a friend-of-the-court brief with the California Supreme Court asking the court to delay its May 15 decision to legalize same-sex "marriage."
Environmentalists Pick Up Where Communists Left Off By Charles Krauthammer - Just as the ash heap of history beckoned, the intellectual left was handed the ultimate salvation: environmentalism. Now the experts will regulate your life not in the name of the proletariat or Fabian socialism but -- even better -- in the name of Earth itself. Environmentalists are Gaia's priests, instructing us in her proper service and casting out those who refuse to genuflect. (See Newsweek above.) And having proclaimed the ultimate commandment -- carbon chastity -- they are preparing the supporting canonical legislation that will tell you how much you can travel, what kind of light you will read by, and at what temperature you may set your bedroom thermostat.
The Environmental Benefits of Offshore Drilling By Humberto Fontova - Louisiana produces almost 30 per cent of America's commercial fisheries. Only Alaska (ten times the size of the Bayou state) produces slightly more. So obviously, Louisiana's coastal waters are immensely rich and prolific in seafood. /These same coastal waters contain 3,200 of the roughly 3,700 offshore production platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. From these, Louisiana also produces 25 per cent of America's domestic oil, and no major oil spill has ever soiled its coast. So for those interested in evidence over hysterics, by simply looking bayou-ward, a lesson in the “environmental perils” of offshore oil drilling presents itself very clearly. ...Every "environmental" superstition against these structures was turned on its head. Marine life had EXPLODED around these huge artificial reefs: A study by LSU's Sea Grant college shows that 85 percent of Louisiana fishing trips involve fishing around these platforms. The same study shows 50 times more marine life around an oil production platform than in the surrounding Gulf bottoms. An environmental study (by apparently honest scientists) revealed that urban runoff and treated sewage dump 12 times the amount of petroleum into the Gulf than those thousands of oil production platforms. And oil seeping naturally through the ocean floor into the Gulf, where it dissipates over time, accounts for 7 times the amount spilled by rigs and pipelines in any given year. The Flower Garden coral reefs lie off the Louisiana-Texas border. Unlike any of the Florida Keys reefs, they're surrounded by dozens of offshore oil platforms. These have been pumping away for the past 50 years. Yet according to G.P. Schmahl, a Federal biologist who worked for decades in both places, "The Flower Gardens are much healthier, more pristine than anything in the Florida Keys. It was a surprise to me," he admits. "And I think it's a surprise to most people."
Norquist's Muslim Protégés By Paul Sperry FrontPageMagazine.com - If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. That appears to be the strategy of GOP powerbroker Grover Norquist in his wicked project to dress Islamists up as patriotic Republicans so they can infiltrate the government. ...Within months of the 9/11 attacks, Gill gave a seminar to young Muslims gathered in Washington for the annual conference of the Muslim Students Association, which was founded by leaders of the radical Muslim Brotherhood. The topic: "Muslims in North America: Political Activism." Gill gave the youth there tips on how to "cultivate the society for Islam." Does this sound like a patriot who believes in the American dream? ...Early last decade, the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood in America wrote an 18-page manifesto, titled "General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America." Their secret plan was to form legitimate-sounding Muslim NGOs like the MSA and AMC and use them to infiltrate and subvert the U.S. political system. Translated from Arabic, the document reads in part: "(Our) work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah's religion is made victorious over all other religions." Another document in Arabic found on the home computer of al-Arian states: "Our presence in North America gives us a unique opportunity to monitor, explore and follow up. We should be able to infiltrate the sensitive intelligence agencies or the embassies in order to collect information." In other words, their goal is to infiltrate the U.S. political system and undermine it from within. Scandalously, they have in Norquist a powerful inside-the-Beltway friend who's still helping them run influence operations against the government - now under the cynically patriotic guise of GOP candidacy.

National Priests' Organization Asks Pointed Election Questions Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, released a statement this morning regarding the position of Priests for Life at the outset of the general election battle. The statement poses key questions to five groups of people. The entire text can be found at www.PriestsforLife.org/elections/statement.htm. To candidates who support legal abortion, Priests for Life asks whether, when they say the word abortion, they mean the same thing that abortion providers mean. The statement quotes medical texts such as Abortion Practice, in which Dr. Warren Hern says, for example, "A long curved Mayo scissors may be necessary to decapitate and dismember the fetus..." "Those who say they support 'choice' are characteristically unwilling to describe the choice. That's a clear sign that they are wrong. If they cannot even describe what they support, how can they expect voters to support them?" Fr. Pavone asked. Priests for Life will announce, in the coming weeks, a series of conference calls and web seminars that will enable interested citizens to engage the political process to advance the culture of life. For more information, see www.PoliticalResponsibility.com. Priests for Life is the nation's largest Catholic pro- life organization dedicated to ending abortion and euthanasia. Thomas Sowell - Politicians who use blacks as mascots do not hesitate to throw blacks to the wolves for the benefit of the teachers’ unions, the green zealots whose restrictions make housing unaffordable, or people who keep low-price stores like Wal-Mart out of their cities. Using human beings as mascots is not idealism. It is self-aggrandizement that is ugly in both its concept and its consequences.”
DO FAMILIES HAVE A COMPELLING INTEREST IN MAINTAINING THE STATE? By Don Feder - Pardon my hate-filled rhetoric, but when exactly did homosexuals become a division of humanity instead of a sorry collection of individuals (connected only by their carnal appetites) caught up in a perverted lifestyle? That which once was properly shunned is now celebrated as a glorious form of diversity – promoted in the schools, subsidized by corporate America, pampered by government at the state and local levels, and pandered to by politicians -- witness the Democratic gay presidential debate last August, sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign, where Clinton and Obama preened before representatives of the community like singer Melissa Etheridge. The slide down the slippery slope accelerates at breakneck speed. What awaits us at the bottom isn’t gay marriage alone – which is merely a way station – but a sexual totalitarian state (replete with Diversity Gestapo) in which dissent from the gay agenda will be ruthlessly suppressed.
Media Shove Boy Scout Story Under a Tent By Robert Knight - Let’s pretend we’re news editors at the TV networks and major newspapers. This just in: The Boy Scouts of America have filed a lawsuit against the city of Philadelphia for threatening to evict the Cradle of Liberty Council from their headquarters in a city park. If the Scouts don’t prevail, they face eviction from their 80-year-old building by Saturday, May 31. Shouldn’t this be a national news story? It’s not. None of the networks has mentioned the lawsuit, which was filed on May 23, and major newspapers have devoted as little as a couple of sentences to it based on wire reports. The only significant coverage has been in the local Philadelphia papers. And none of them gives readers any inkling as to why the Scouts (and parents) might not want to put children at risk by permitting homosexual men to serve as Scoutmasters.
Marriage and democracy trampled New York governor works to mandate recognition of same-sex "marriage." -The governor of New York has unilaterally decreed that all state agencies must recognize same-sex “marriages” from other states and countries, even though this issue is still working its way through the courts. ADF and our allies are fighting this assault on the people of New York and the democratic process.
The Gay Activists Are Headed For The Churches By Harry R. Jackson, Jr. - The next two Sundays, a coalition of radical gay groups comprised of SoulForce, The National Black Justice Coalition, and Equality Riders have coerced two of the nation’s most influential leaders into a closed-door showdown. Two of these groups (Soulforce and Equality Riders) are known for civil disobedience - even getting arrested in the name of GLBT justice. Bill Hybels at Willow Creek Community Church and Rick Warren at Saddleback Community Church will meet with these folks on June 8 and 15, respectively. Although Hybels and Warren will undoubtedly defend the faith boldly, SoulForce and company have set up a symbolic media campaign designed to suggest that conservative churches are bending on their gay relationships and marriage prohibitions. The gay community is revving up its engines for an all out push to “mainstream” gays in three phases of life - marriage, politics, and religion. In some ways their “civil rights” agenda could make them even more equal than others. Research shows that gays are more highly educated and earn more money than other Americans. Therefore, gays have come out of the closet and are taking leadership in many areas of American culture. For these reasons, it is difficult for me, as an African American, to buy into their continual comparison with the civil rights movement and the struggles of African Americans. Their sense of cultural rejection is becoming less and less of a reality. In fact, the “velvet mafia,” as they are called in the entertainment industry, has won many battles in the so-called “culture wars.” Let me be a little more specific. The militant gay minority has waged a war for recognition on four fronts:
Coming
Soon to a Bathroom Near You... Congress may be
adjourned for the Memorial Day recess, but a series of misguided state bills
aren't providing any relief for pro-family groups. Just ask the residents of
Colorado, where locals are bracing themselves for an "anti-bias" law that is
actually changing where people use the restroom. Yesterday, over the protests
of thousands of families, Gov. Bill Ritter (D) signed SB 200 into law. The
legislation blurs the sexual lines by making all public accommodations,
including locker rooms and restrooms, "gender-free." In other words,
anyone--regardless of their biological identity--will be welcome in the men's
or ladies' room, including cross-dressers, men who self-identify as women,
women who self-identify as men, and people who haven't made up their minds. To
make matters worse, Colorado defines "public accommodations" as everything
from malls, restaurants, and schools to small and even home businesses. The
other side says this is about discrimination. But the chance of offending a
few people hardly justifies putting everyone else at risk, which is exactly
what SB 200 does. For every transvestite who takes advantage of this law,
there are a dozen sexual predators who will see this as a chance to put women
and children into a vulnerable situation. Focus on the Family launched a
statewide awareness campaign, but in the end, even Colorado's largest
Christian ministry couldn't compete with Ritter's desire to pay off liberal
financier Tim Gill, who sank serious dollars into the governor's election
campaign in 2006. From here all eyes will turn to Montgomery County, where a
November ballot initiative will determine the fate of its bathroom bill.
Meanwhile, leaders in the California Assembly dealt another blow to values
voters on Wednesday by passing an assisted suicide bill by one vote. Under AB
2747, doctors and nurses could suggest "death by unconscious dehydration" for
terminal patients as well as those who are "depressed and confused." Although
some say the sedation-starvation method is more painful than lethal injection,
California leaders insist on pursuing a bill that treats humans with less
dignity and sensitivity than animals. Interestingly, Gov. Arnold
Schwarzenegger's (R) position is that voters should decide. Under his system
of selective democracy, Schwarzenegger is fighting to silence voters' opinion
on marriage but welcoming their views on euthanasia. In 2006 he said that
assisted suicide "probably should go to the people, like the death penalty...
I don't think that we, 120 legislators and I, should make that decision."

Obama Praised Wright, Criticized Traditional Black Churches on Homosexuality - In an Apr. 10 interview with The Advocate magazine, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) said "homophobic" messages are coming from the pulpits of black churches because "most African-American churches are still fairly traditional in their interpretations of Scripture."
Obama's Irreconcilable Marriage Vows By Janet M. LaRue - “Marriage, it doesn’t mean anything.” That’s what Barack Obama told wife Michelle while they were dating, according to her recent interview in The New Yorker. But he’s telling voters that marriage is “something sanctified between a man and a woman,” and that he opposes same-sex “marriage.” Sanctified or meaningless, which is it? On the one hand, Obama says marriage should be between a man and a woman.
On the other hand, Obama wants to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which protects one man-one woman marriage.
Brent Bozell - “Imagine that John McCain named a young running mate to campaign with him, and this national rookie suggested America had 58 states, repeatedly used the wrong names for the cities he was visiting, and honored a Memorial Day crowd by acknowledging the ‘fallen heroes’ who were present, somehow alive and standing in the audience. How long would it take for the national media to see another Dan Quayle caricature? Let’s raise the stakes. What if it was the GOP presidential candidate making these thoroughly ridiculous comments? This scenario is very real, except it isn’t McCain. It’s the other fellow.

Campaign Unmasks 'Comprehensive' Sex Education by Devon Williams, associate editor - Parents for Truth aims to recruit 1 million parents over three years to fight groups like Planned Parenthood. The National Abstinence Education Association (NAEA) has launched a national campaign to educate parents about the harmful information their children are often exposed to in so-called “comprehensive” sex-education classes at school. ...A recent Zogby poll, commissioned by the NAEA, found that parents who are educated about the two sex-education curricula favor abstinence education over "comprehensive" sex ed by 2-to-1. Between 5 percent and 10 percent of "comprehensive" sex ed is spent on abstinence, according to studies by The Heritage Foundation and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. ...Learn the truth about "comprehensive" sex education and join the campaign for abstinence. Linda Klepacki, sexual health analyst at Focus on the Family Action, warns that the lies of "comprehensive" sex education can begin to sound like the truth.
Homeschooling Stereotypes Shattered by: Kristen Blair - No longer in the throes of adolescence, North Carolina’s homeschooling movement celebrated its 20th birthday this year. Much has changed since the General Assembly moved to legalize homeschooling in 1988. Here and across the nation, the homeschooling movement has grown in stature and popularity – defying stereotypes and occasionally, disarming critics. Conjure up a mental image of the “typical” homeschooler these days and you’re apt to be wrong. Indeed, a 2005 St. Petersburg Times headline trumpeted, “Homeschooling: It’s not what you think.” Once viewed – at times quite unfairly – as the province of white, fanatical parents, homeschooling has morphed into an increasingly diverse and credible movement. In fact, according to an article in the News and Observer of Raleigh on Tuesday, more and more African-American families are joining the ranks of homeschoolers. Jennifer James, founder of North Carolina African-American Homeschoolers and the National African-American Homeschoolers Alliance, told the News and Observer, “Blacks are the fastest-growing demographic among homeschoolers.” Nationally, one in 10 homeschool students is black. Data on the socioeconomic status of homeschooling families may challenge some stereotypes as well. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, homeschool students are slightly less likely to be affluent than their public school peers: 22 percent of homeschool kids and 25 percent of public school students live in families with an annual income above $75,000, compared to half of private school students. Notably, one-quarter of both homeschool and public school students live in homes with annual incomes at or below $25,000.

MSNBC Publishes New Report on Lakeland Revival; Can't Ignore Impact the Outpouring is Having by Teresa Neumann : May 30, 2008 : Alice Rhee - MSNBC - "I say, you have nothing to lose but your sickness. If the doctors can't help you, why wouldn't you give God a chance?" FOUNDING EDITOR'S NOTE: I debated whether or not to even link to this MSNBC story. It was well done, but the secular media feels, as is normal, the obligation to post both pro and con arguments toward this revival or any news story, honestly. One can't blame that approach as they are not there to "fan the flames" for the Church . . . at least not yet. So in order for them to be considered "news," they have to find someone on most stories who say "My take on this is that it isn't good." (words to that effect). So it is with mixed feelings (mostly good) that I post this story. The summary was well written by our own Teresa Neumann with Breaking Christian News. As many of you link to the story from MSNBC, I would encourage the reader to remember what Jesus' response was when His strange healings were happening and John the Baptist was stuck in prison. "Are you the ONE?" He was asked, "or should we look for another?" Jesus' response was simple and direct: ". . . So He replied to the messengers, 'Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.'" Luke 7:21-22 (NIV) - Steve Shultz, BCN. (Lakeland, Florida)—MSNBC has published yet another report on the Lakeland Revival, or the "Florida Outpouring," which began on April 2 with healing meetings conducted by evangelist Todd Bentley at Ignited Church in Lakeland, Florida. The report explains how the meetings have "outgrown four venues, including a local convention center that seats roughly 7,000. Now," the report states, "they meet under an air-conditioned tent that can accommodate 10,000 on the grounds of the local airport. Organizers estimate that more than 140,000 people from at least 40 nations have attended meetings here."
Tom McClintock on his California 4th Congressional District victory: Ladies and gentlemen, What has happened to our country has happened on our generation’s watch, and it is our generation’s responsibility – and our generation’s destiny -- to set things right. And when history looks back upon this period, I believe it will record that just when it looked like America might be subsumed by the bureaucratic state, this generation of Americans rose to the defense of our liberties and when we were done, our Constitution and the God-given rights enshrined in it, had been revived, restored, and preserved inviolate for the generations that followed.

There are, I have been told, exceptions, to what I say. I have been told there are Christian Libertarians. I have, however, not met any - by which I mean I have met no Libertarians who are Christians first. If such an individual exists, he would, of course, be a Christian.
