the kingdom of God is not meat and drink;
but
righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Church Brings to Light How Slaves Worshipped - Thousands of tourists watched last summer as archaeologists, working in the shadow of Independence Hall, unearthed remnants of the home where George Washington lived with his wife and several slaves. Now, the city's best-known Colonial-era church is dramatically bringing to light how slaves worshipped alongside parishioners like Washington, Benjamin Franklin and Betsy Ross.
S.C. enacts religious-themed laws Allows display of Lord's Prayer - The bills mean South Carolinians attending local government meetings could soon see the Ten Commandments and the Lord's Prayer posted on walls, pray without fear of being sued and drive home in cars with the "I Believe" plates. Civil rights groups are considering lawsuits. An attorney for the New York-based American Jewish Congress, Mark Stern, said the bills are an obvious endorsement of religion by legislators in an election year. His group is looking to sue over the plates. ..."This is an example of the government's underhanded attempts to endorse one particular religious viewpoint over all others under the guise of neutral education," said T. Jeremy Gunn, director of the ACLU's Program of Freedom of Religion and Belief. "Religion belongs where it prospers best: with individuals, families and religious communities."
Homosexuality takes Congress by storm Fifty-two members of the U.S. House of Representatives have joined together to create the House Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Caucus. Their objective? To promote the homosexual agenda in Congress.

California Same Sex Marriage, Court Mandated Sin Against God - "Can a throne of destruction be allied with You, One which devises mischief by decree?" Psalm 94:20 - "It is truly amazing that the homosexual community desired the government to get out of their bedroom and now they use the government to force their bedroom upon the general populace. They will not be satisfied until they have sodomized the entire culture, including the family, schools and even the church which should be a safe haven for children, not hedonistic indoctrination camps." So says Phil Magnan, President of Biblical Family Advocates Magnan continued, "But the blame cannot be solely placed on the homosexuals or even the courts. Christian churches must wake up to the fact that they must now stand together against this destructive movement, not only by denouncing it from their pulpits, but through Christ, compassionately provide a way for homosexuals to leave it. For Christ came to seek and save the lost, not allow them to be destroyed by their sin. We must begin to face the truth that these kinds of relationships are very wrong, not just an alternative lifestyle. Apathy and indifference are a poor answer to this moral crisis."
Newspaper Reactions to California Marriage Cases (pdf) The major fear voiced by newspapers opposing the ruling is that the undemocratic imposition of same-sex marriage will spark a "culture war" similar to that sparked by Roe v. Wade's overturning of abortion laws, and that the gay rights movement would be better served by trusting the democratic process and the rapid change in opinions among their fellow citizens.
Redefinition Revolution Gay marriage is about more than Adam and Steve. By Maggie Gallagher - Here’s the conclusion I’ve come to after four-plus years of active participation in the same-sex-marriage debate: Gay marriage is not primarily about marriage. It’s also not about Adam and Steve and their personal practical legal needs. It is about inserting into the law the principle that “gay is the new black” — that sexual orientation should be treated exactly the same way we treat race in law and culture. Gay-marriage advocates say it all the time: People who think marriage is the union of husband and wife are like bigots who opposed interracial marriage. Believe them. They say it because they mean it. The architects of this strategy have targeted marriage because it stands in the way of the America they want to create: They hope to use the law to reshape the culture in exactly the same way that the law was used to reshape the culture of the old racist south. (EarsToHear.net comment: Did the civil rights violations of blacks violate "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God? " Absolutely! Does "entitling" civil rights to same-sex unions violate "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God? " Absolutely! The "Politically Correct" deception has duped many who are "wise in this world," obviously do not posses the wisdom of God. - 1 Corinthians 1 & 2)

Obama Campaign Scrambling in Wake of Evangelist Questioning if He is Really a Christian - Senator Barack Obama's campaign team is scrambling to do damage control in the wake of the national story two weeks ago when the world's leading Internet evangelist Bill Keller of Liveprayer, questioned in a widely distributed Op-ed article, YouTube video, and Daily Devotional to his 2.4 million subscribers whether Senator Obama was really a Christian. Keller questioned the authenticity of Senator Obama's faith in Christ due to the fact he has stated there are "many paths to God" when orthodox Christianity clearly teaches that faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved, in addition to his support of killing babies, gay marriage, and giving away part of Israel to the Palestinians, all contrary to Christian teachings according to the Bible.In response to Keller's assertions, the Obama campaign has launched the Joshua Generation Project, concentrating on young Christian rather than older Christians who are unlikely to support someone who advocates killing babies and gay marriage.

Black conservatives conflicted on Obama campaign Black conservative talk show host Armstrong Williams has never voted for a Democrat for president. That could change this year with Barack Obama as the Democratic Party's nominee.
John Stossel - “Congress is spending us into a hole. We hear about the cost of earmarks and the Iraq war. But what about ‘entitlements’? That’s the government’s ironic term for programs that transfer money from people who earned it to people who didn’t. Entitlement? How can you be entitled to someone else’s money? To finance ‘entitlement’ programs, the government threatens force against the taxpayers who provide the money. Why are people who favor compulsion called humanitarians, while those who favor freedom are stigmatized as greedy?... What we really need is a top-to-bottom freeing of the economy, including the health-care industry, and massive cuts in government both spending and taxes. This would leave us wealthy enough to take care of ourselves, with private charity assisting those who can’t manage.”
Political Moral Philosophy: R.I.P. (Center for a Just Society) "Political moral philosophy" sounds like an oxymoron in the context of our modern, unprincipled politics. Nevertheless, a sound moral philosophy is the vital center of any political movement intent on fashioning a just society. Unfortunately, both political parties today seem to have lost their grip on whatever moral philosophy they once held to be true. Democrats have abandoned their old socialist ideals for a pragmatic approach focused on winning elections by promising new domestic programs and repeating a mantra advocating vague, undefined notions of "change." Republicans have dropped their ideals of personal freedom and limited government in favor of winning elections by rewarding powerful special interest groups with earmarks, tax cuts, and limitations on liability for wrongdoing.

"A Real Energy Strategy for America" challenges Washington to stop trading shallow rhetoric and solve America's energy crisis. In the first installment, author Jon Moseley reveals that the United States has as much as 8 times as much oil in the form of "shale oil" as all of Saudi Arabia's oil. America could end all imports of foreign oil if these shale oil resources were developed.

The TRP, under its director, GLAD Attorney Jennifer Levi, will put out legislative, litigation, and educational assets to work in a focused way to establish clear legal protections for the transgender community. Its initial priorities, according to the TRP, include supporting efforts to write gender identity and expression into the anti-discrimination laws of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire; advocating for appropriate identity documents and standards for changing gender markers on them; ensuring access to health care; securing employment protections, and working with its allies to fight transphobia through public education.

Lifting Jesus High! Bringing Biblical Light to Your Questions about the Lakeland Outpouring & Todd Bentley Revival is often messy because there's a lot happening and sometimes it's hard for people to take in everything they see in the natural. Many come and some do manifest fleshly things, but for the most part, everyone is sincere and of good intention at a revival. People may see me or others sprawled out on the floor, or in heavenly laughter, or shaking because of the glory and presence of God, but try to look beyond and understand that something's happening in the Spirit, trusting that there's that other realm that you may not see.
