Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness... Matthew 6 (We are to personally and individually seek FIRST the Kingdom of God AND His Righteousness ahead of all else including self and politics. This does not mean however we are to hide our Light or refrain from "reproving the world of sin." Imagine if the Christians who created our Republic did so.)

Challenging “Christian” and “religious” doctrines….with Righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit and the Laws and commandments of the King’s government within the Kingdom of God.

As the Declaration of Independence listed the long train of abuses of the King of England, the Patriot's Declaration July 4, 2008 looks to declare independence from the long train of abuses being coerced by deceptive politically correct secular liberals. (See Patriot's Declaration July 4, 2008 - http://www.earstohear.net/eNewsletters/20080704.html)

"Christian conservatives" may go on whining and complaining until the "progressive cradle-to=grave-nanny-state of socialism" is culminated. If "Christian conservatives" DO NOT confront EVERY attempt to further political correctness then we will reap what Samuel Adams warned: "Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say, 'What should be the reward of such sacrifices?' ... If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animating contest of freedom...crouch down and lick the hands, which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!"

We must challenge EVERY abuse with this question to those using deception to dupe the masses - including self-proclaimed "Christian conservatives."

We must demand secular liberals justify "entitling" a "Right" that violates "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God." Upon what other foundation do they base establishing and setting boundaries in determining how "Rights" are "entitled?" What new and improved politically correct secular liberal humanistic wisdom do they employ that supersedes "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God?" We must make them establish their sure foundation, if one even exists?

Perhaps a reminder of the ACTIONS of the Pastors in 1770’s will renew the Biblical moral courage and virtue REQUIRED to restore America to its Christian Heritage and God’s Grace. (See Did you know? at: http://www.earstohear.net/Heritage/didyouknow.html

Is it further required to entice American Christians to reconsider their call to “reprove the world of sin” and not be deceived by those who are not citizens of the Kingdom of God and their misrepresentation of “do not judge?” See http://www.earstohear.net/Kingdom/judging.html.

MassResistance finding resistance over pro-family petition A Massachusetts pro-family advocate finds it "very distressing" that two pro-family groups in the state are choosing not to join in an effort to challenge the Legislature's repeal of a 1913 law that barred out-of-state homosexual couples from getting married in the Bay State.

Verse from the Bible Replaced By a Verse from the Koran By Mary Stoy - When my husband and I moved to the Memphis area a few years ago, one of the first things on my lengthy “to-do” list was to subscribe to the local daily newspaper, The Commercial Appeal (CA). As an avid reader, I appreciate this quiet, “unplugged” method of staying current on a wide variety of issues and events. A few weeks ago, I was reading the editorial page; as usual, I looked down for the Bible verse that always appeared in the lower left corner. To my amazement, the Bible verse had been replaced by a verse from the Qu’ran. The following day, a Saturday, a verse from the Talmud was inserted. On Sunday, I was relieved to see the Bible quoted, but I had a suspicion that has proved correct: On Fridays, a Muslim holy day, our local paper now features a verse from the Qu’ran, and on Saturdays, the Jewish Sabbath (Shabbat), they print a verse from the Talmud. Although I suspect this is a case of Political Correctness (PC) run amok, I can offer no evidence; multiple emails to the CA Editor, Chris Peck, have remained unanswered. ...As Christians, we have an obligation to show God’s love to our neighbors. God’s love is infinite and merciful, but it is not without boundaries. God’s love does not accept the distortion of His Word. We are required to correct the lies and speak for Truth. As much as we are able, we are to live peaceably with all men. This will become more difficult as the pushes come to shoves. When conflict arises, Muslims will align as Muslims, and not as Americans. As one Muslim said during a meeting called for the purpose of interfaith dialogue, “Thanks to your democratic laws, we will invade you. Thanks to our religious laws, we will dominate you.” In the face of this insidious encroachment on our culture and our faith, what is an American Christian to do? I encourage you to become educated on the issues. Do not stop with The Commercial Appeal or your favorite online news web. For excellent overviews, I recommend the books Islam in Context by Peter G. Riddell and Peter Cotterell and Understanding the Koran by Mateen Elass. A good myth-buster is The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades) by Robert Spencer. For an insider’s viewpoint, I recommend Why I Left Jihad, by “Ex-Muslim Terrorist” Walid Shoebat.

Barack Obama through Muslim Eyes By Daniel Pipes (FrontPageMagazine.com) - How do Muslims see Barack Hussein Obama? They have three choices: either as he presents himself – someone who has "never been a Muslim" and has "always been a Christian"; or as a fellow Muslim; or as an apostate from Islam. Reports suggests that while Americans generally view the Democratic candidate having had no religion before converting at Reverend Jeremiah Wrights's hands at age 27, Muslims the world over rarely see him as Christian but usually as either Muslim or ex-Muslim. Lee Smith of the Hudson Institute explains why: "Barack Obama's father was Muslim and therefore, according to Islamic law, so is the candidate. In spite of the Quranic verses explaining that there is no compulsion in religion, a Muslim child takes the religion of his or her father. … for Muslims around the world, non-American Muslims at any rate, they can only ever see Barack Hussein Obama as a Muslim." In addition, his school record from Indonesia lists him as a Muslim. Thus, an Egyptian newspaper, Al-Masri al-Youm, refers to his "Muslim origins." Libyan ruler Mu‘ammar al-Qaddafi referred to Obama as "a Muslim" and a person with an "African and Islamic identity." One Al-Jazeera analysis calls him a "non-Christian man," a second refers to his "Muslim Kenyan" father, and a third, by Naseem Jamali, notes that "Obama may not want to be counted as a Muslim but Muslims are eager to count him as one of their own."

Rice Pushes For Division of Jerusalem - In the dying days of the Bush Administration, Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice is stepping up the pressure for the lame-duck Olmert Government to divide Jerusalem. Aaron Klein of World Net Daily reports on the details of Rice's obsession with dividing Israel's capital to give Abbas a part of Jerusalem which he can designate as capital of a Palestinian State.

Conservative populists make the elephant quake William J. Murray, Chairman Religious Freedom Coalition - A RECENT survey showed that 36 percent of Catholics considered themselves conservative, 38 percent moderate, and just 18 percent liberal. Yet 51 percent believe the government should be bigger and have more services. How can this be? Everyone knows that only the liberals want bigger government, right? ...The majority of social conservatives stuck in the Republican Party do not agree with its core pro-big-business policies that turn a blind eye to despotic Chinese dictators and evil Saudi royalty. Many are Republicans simply because their pro-life, pro-marriage views are not welcome in the "progressive" party that holds abortion and homosexual marriage as a foundation. Republican Party leaders don't really want these "populists" in their party either, at least not in any positions of authority. They want them to vote GOP every two years and then sit at the back of the bus and shut up. Who are these people? Why don't the Democrats want them, and why do the Republican leaders hold their noses when around them? These are conservative populists, the millions of people who voted for Mike Huckabee despite TV ads paid for by the conservative Club for Growth that flat-out lied about his record. Conservative populists are for the most part social conservatives who are not against big government necessarily, they just want their tax dollars to get bang for the buck and not be used in ways that are both wasteful and grossly offensive to their morals.

Calvin Coolidge - "We do not need more intellectual power, we need more moral power. We do not need more knowledge, we need more character. We do not need more government, we need more culture. We do not need more law, we need more religion. We do not need more of the things that are seen, we need more of the things that are unseen. If the foundation be firm, the foundation will stand."

Conservatives Cheer, Liberals Jeer, Sarah Palin as VP Pick - NARAL Pro-Choice America President Nancy Keenan criticized McCain for choosing a pro-life running mate. "John McCain’s choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate proves just how rigid and extreme his administration would be when it comes to a woman’s right to choose," Keenan said in a statement. "For 25 years, McCain has opposed a woman’s right to choose, and we know that he will continue to push anti-choice policies in the White House. McCain’s pick of anti-choice Sarah Palin is further evidence that his White House will be just another four years of Bush-style policies. Any remaining doubts about McCain’s extreme anti-choice position should be put to rest when voters learn about the combined anti-choice records of Sarah Palin and John McCain." Joe Solomese, president of the Human Rights Campaign, a homosexual-rights advocacy group, posted a statement on the group's website criticizing Palin. “America may not know much about Sarah Palin, but based on what our community has seen of her, we know enough,” Solmonese stated. “Sarah Palin not only supported the 1998 Alaska constitutional amendment banning marriage equality but, in her less than two years as Governor, even expressed the extreme position of supporting stripping away domestic partner benefits for state workers. When you can’t even support giving our community the rights to health insurance and pension benefits, it’s a frightening window into where she stands on equality.”

MCCAIN WAY OUTSIDE THE BOX- William J. Murray, Chairman Religious Freedom Coalition - Several weeks ago I discounted Gov. Sarah Palin as Senator McCain's pick for at my PAC site. Although she is very pro-life and a social conservative I had dismissed her for what I thought were some very petty acts while in office. Also, I just didn't think John McCain could think this far out of the box and that he would pick, like Barack Obama did, a fellow Senator. The pick of a true social conservative changes the entire dynamic of the campaign. Media bio of Palin

Sara PalinSarah Palin: A Dream Come True for Republicans by Marcia Segelstein - John McCain demonstrated both political savvy and sheer boldness in selecting Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate. Here's what people should know about her, and why Republicans should like her. In her own words, from her gubernatorial website, here is where she stands on the free market, guns, health care and key social issues:
+ "I'm a conservative Republican, a firm believer in free market capitalism."
+ "I'm a lifetime member of the NRA, I support our Constitutional right to bear arms...I grew up hunting and fishing in Alaska."
+ "I support flexibility in government regulations that allow competition in health care that is needed, and is proven to be good for the consumer, which will drive down health care costs and reduce the need for government subsidies."
+ "I am pro-life and I believe that marriage should only be between a man and a woman."

Exclusive: Palin Speaks with Newsmax In an exclusive interview with Newsmax, Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin and now John McCain's running mate, speaks to Newsmax about the vice-presidency, John McCain, abortion, global warming, and more. ...If you were running for president, what causes would you champion? I would push for a strong military and a sound energy policy. I believe that Alaska can help set an example on energy policy.

Christianity Today Politics Blog - Fred Barnes wrote last summer in the Weekly Standard how Palin's faith impacts her politics. "Her Christian faith--Palin grew up attending nondenominational Bible churches--was a minor issue in the race," Barnes wrote. "She told me her faith affects her politics this way: 'I believe everything happens for a purpose. In my own personal life, if I dedicated back to my Creator what I'm trying to create for the good . . . everything will turn out fine.' That same concept applies to her political career, she suggested." Jay Newton-Small at Time Magazine asked Palin some religion questions two weeks ago. What's your religion? Christian. Any particular...? No. Bible-believing Christian. What church do you attend? A non-denominational Bible church. I was baptized Catholic as a newborn and then my family started going to non-denominational churches throughout our life.

Richard Viguerie: She's Perfect -- With VP Pick, McCain 'Unites the GOP, Gives Conservatives a Stake in the Election, and Puts a Real Reformer on the Ticket' - The selection of Governor Sarah Palin as John McCain's vice presidential running mate unites the Republican Party and energizes its conservative base, Richard A. Viguerie said. "McCain has chosen to balance his ticket with a principled conservative. Governor Palin's life story is one of sticking to principle. She is living proof that a person can take on the corrupt political establishment - including corrupt leaders in her own party - and achieve great things," he said.

Thomas Sowell - "Senator John McCain could never convince me to vote for him. Only Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama can cause me to vote for McCain."  ...“Obama is being hailed as the newest and freshest face on the American political scene. But he is advocating some of the oldest fallacies, just as if it was the 1960s again, or as if he has learned nothing and forgotten nothing since then... But politics is not about facts. It is about what politicians can get people to believe.”

Consider these issues and it will become blatantly obvious what Biblical moral virtue each candidate possess: Abortions, God's design of marriage, unequal, unnatural  Rights, Second Amendment, "living" Constitution, U.S. sovereignty and noble power, War on Terror, Border, Illegal Immigration, Unions, NEA and government-run education, taxes, "sustainable development." government-run health care...

"Society’s demands for moral authority and character increase as the importance of the position increases" John Adams

Author: Obama not committed to change - A New York Times best-selling author says his new book refutes the claim that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is really committed to change. David Freddoso's book is called The Case Against Barack Obama. The staff reporter for National Review says despite the Illinois senator's commitment to change, Obama has consistently practiced throughout his career the "old politics" that he consistently denounces. "In addition to being someone who is very liberal -- and perhaps deceptively so in the way he describes himself -- he is also not this figure of hope and change that he makes himself out to be, precisely because of the connections that he has made, the alliances, the endorsements, the legislation he's passed to accommodate himself to Chicago's political machine," argues Freddoso. "I really just felt like it was not right to worship the guy the way he's being worshipped." Freddoso labels Obama's campaign as a false messianic movement.

Glenn Beck picks apart Obama's speech---and gives it an A on style but a F on content. There was content in the speech this time -- unfortunately none of it was good.

Sen. Obama’s Acceptance Speech Filled With Half-Truths And Distortions About Sen. John McCain - Throughout the Democratic National Convention, liberal politicians either distorted or told half-truths about Republican Senator John McCain and puffed up Sen. Obama’s thin resume. ...Obama claimed that he would cut taxes for 95% of all working families and cut capital gains taxes for small businesses. Not true, according to FactCheck.org. This site notes that Obama has twice voted for the Democrat 2009 budget resolution. This resolution would have permitted the tax cuts from 2001 and 2003 to expire – effectively raising the taxes on those making $41,500 in total income. FactCheck.org points out: “Certainly Obama’s votes indicate a willingness to raise taxes, and Obama has not been shy about saying explicitly that he will raise some taxes.” (7/8/08) ...Obama’s Fellow Democrats Also Lie And Distort - Breitbart.com has a lengthy list of Democrats who spoke on behalf of Obama who have distorted McCain’s record on a wide range of issues. Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, for example, claimed that John McCain “has never believed in renewable energy, and he won’t make it a part of America’s future.” Fact: In fact, McCain's energy policy favors tax credits to encourage marketing of wind, hydro and solar power. However, since becoming a candidate for president, McCain has not shown up for eight Senate votes last year and this year to extend those tax credits, which expire at the end of this year. The last such vote was July 30. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama didn't show up for that vote, either, but he has voted for extensions of the renewable energy tax on several other occasions.” (Breitbart.com, August 27. 2008)

And If Obama Loses? By Patrick J. Buchanan - Indeed, many have begun to see this election in solely racial terms, an issue of whether racism once again triumphs in America, or racism is buried one and for all. Questions arise. With this immense moral and emotional investment in a Barack victory -- by 94 to 1 in one poll black America is behind him -- what happens if the nation decides he is too radical, too inexperienced, too callow, too risky to be president? What happens if the American people reject their marching orders and say no to Barack and black America? What happens if all the hopes and dreams, hype and hoopla, end in disillusionment? Would the defeat of Barack Obama be taken as an affront to black America? Could we be in for a time of deepening racial division rather than healing? Could we be in for a long, hot autumn like the long, hot summers some of us recall from 40 years ago? One black preacher here suggested as much to me. Should that happen, the people who have framed this election as a contest between morality and racial justice on one side, and the clammy hand of America's racist past on the other, will bear the same moral responsibility as did the advocates of mass civil obedience for the racial riots of the 1960s that followed.

ENPR: Special Democratic Convention Recap - Second, Obama's vagueness is a deliberate strategy. Striving to be a blank slate on which all sorts of voters can cast their hopes. "Leadership," "open-mindedness," "change," "hope," and "Yes We Can," were the virtues touted. His own life and record were mentioned, but not much in prime time.

“Change” the channel! By Mark Alexander - Indeed, as I previously summarized in an essay entitled, “Why the Left can’t get it Right,” ask liberals about some manifestation of their worldview—for example, why they support a charlatan like Obama—and their response will be predicated by, “Because I feel...” On the other hand, ask conservatives about what they believe, or why they do or don’t support John McCain, and their response will be predicated by, “Because I think...” ...All this notwithstanding, here are a few “feeling” moments from the past week. ...Since Jesse Jackson had already let us know how he feels about Obama, Bill Clinton took his place at the podium, lip quivering as he felt our pain. And Hillary was just radiant, feeling that all the stars were aligning for her campaign in 2012. Michelle Obama felt good about herself. “I left a job at a law firm for a career in public service, working to empower young people to volunteer in their communities.” I suppose the best part of that feeling is the $275,000 annual salary she draws from a privately owned hospital whilst “working to empower young people.” And Michelle no doubt felt good about hubby Barack, who she says will “bring us together and remind us how much we share and how alike we really are.” Can’t you just feel it? ...He (Obama) proclaimed that, “Ours is a promise that says government... should do that which we cannot do for ourselves” and proceeded to outline the same worn socialist policies his “useful idiot” predecessors have promoted for the last half century. ...I am sure it comes as no surprise to genuine American Patriots, those who recognize a kindred spirit in the Patriot character of presidential candidate John McCain, that at the conclusion of Obama’s coronation in Denver, thousands of those little flags ended up in trash bags with other delegate refuse. It’s not that those Demo flag-wavers don’t like our national flag, it’s just that they don’t have a clue about the “Republic for which it stands,” or its seminal document of incorporation, our Constitution, or the Patriots who have pledged “To support and defend... so help me God,” or the hundreds of thousands who have given their lives to honor that pledge since our founding. Obama certainly does not get it. In the end, of course, no amount of logical dissent will make a lick of difference to most Democrat voters. Logic, after all, requires thoughtful analysis, and the Democrat hordes are too busy feeling great about Obama to muck that up with logic.

GOP Platform Opposes Amnesty On the Spot (CNSNews.com) – A draft copy of the GOP platform, which was obtained by CNSNews.com on Wednesday, says “We oppose amnesty” for illegal immigrants. But Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), the presumptive presidential nominee for the Republican Party, has been a leading proponent in Congress for giving illegal aliens a “pathway to citizenship.”

Indoctrination: "Mainstream" Media & Education? - (Education?) The good, the bad, and the ugly...Without a Heritage every generation starts over  Will our descendants know moral virtue? The primary responsibility of education DOES NOT belong to schools.  (Deuteronomy 6:5-7)

"A trained intelligence can do much, but there is no substitute for morality, character and religious conviction."  President Calvin Coolidge

"Knowledge unenlightened by the truth of God is dark knowledge. We may have a B.S., an M.S., and a Ph.D., but without the Lord all we have is dark information. It may help navigate us in the world of darkness, but by itself will never lead us to the truth. Apart from the revelation of the Spirit of God, none of us could ever find our way into the light. Darkly educated people are like those whom Paul described to his young protégé', Timothy, as 'always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.'" (2 Timothy 3:7) Rediscovering the Kingdom by Myles Munroe

Village Academic Curriculum: Pre-K Fight crime... send your toddler to preschool! Such was the message brought to Washington last week by law enforcement personnel and universal pre-K advocates in hopes of bending Congress’ ear—and loosening its purse strings. Supporters like David Kass, president of Fight Crime: Invest in Kids, pointed to a report released by the organization stating that boosting graduation rates through implementing government-funded pre-K will save $10 billion in annual crime costs as well as preventing 3,000 homicides and 175,000 aggravated assaults annually. In fact, so eager is Kass’s group for Uncle Sam to become Professor Sam that it would include “in-home parenting coaching” in its program. Unfortunately, Kass has a ready ally in Barack Obama, whose “Zero to Five” plan would farm even infants off to government-run schoolhouses—at a cost of $10 billion per year. Obvious—and compelling—arguments that parents are a child’s best teachers aside, data show that preschool is not universally beneficial and may actually be harmful to children. According to James Heckman, a University of Chicago Nobel laureate in economics, “[T]he solid evidence for the effectiveness of early interventions is limited to those conducted on disadvantaged populations.” In fact, as noted in a recent Wall Street Journal column, while preschool attendance has skyrocketed from 16 percent to almost 70 percent in the last 50 years, fourth-grade reading, science and math scores on the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) have remained nearly unchanged since the early 1970s. But what matter the facts when a federal entitlement is involved? Unfortunately, not much to those who want Washington to whisk away toddlers from their parents for the imagined utilitarian good of the greater society.

"Politically Correct" - (Politically Correct with PC dictionary) Examples and results of Political Correctness which means using unrighteous deception which lack Biblical Moral Virtue. Remove the Light (Jesus) and darkness (politically correct secular humanism) inevitably ensues.

First corrupt their young minds, then subject their health to the "natural" results of that corruption (as politicians, school administrators, judges, and worse, parents appease because of "political correctness.")

Extra, Extra...

Nature and Natural Law Continue to Remain Aligned!! Duh!! There are significant reactions to yesterday's announcement by Douglas Melton, director of Harvard University's Stem Cell Institute, of a major breakthrough. Melton's team used three genes to change one type of adult cell in mice directly into another adult cell type, with no intervening stem cell. As a result, diabetic mice were able to reduce their blood sugar levels to near normal. The Washington Post gives front-page coverage to the breakthrough and its implications for embryonic stem cell research. Robert Lanza of Advanced Cell Technology reacts: "I'm stunned. It introduces a whole new paradigm for treating disease. If this can be perfected, it would represent one of the holy grails of medicine." The process resembles what is thought to happen naturally with adult stem cells, changing one adult cell type into another. While embryonic stem cells cause tumors in mice and haven't treated a single human, adult stem cells are already helping thousands of patients with over 70 diseases and injuries. Harvard's George Daly said, "You never know for sure -- mice aren't humans, but the biology of pancreatic development is very closely related in mice and humans. This experiment proves you don't have to go all the way back to an embryonic state. You can use a related cell. That may be easier to do and more practical to do." Are Liberals Just Giving Lip Service to "the Least of These"? by Will Hall - (Townhall.com)--I have held my tongue for some time while folks like Jim Wallis (Sojourners), Mara Vanderslice (Matthew 25 Network) and Brian McLaren (emerging church movement) -– all religious and political liberals -- have manipulated a compliant secular media and some of the religious press to shill talking points for them. The message varies in slight ways from story to story but basically asserts “the left” cares more for the poor than does “the right.” A companion assertion stated as fact is that evangelicals are “fractured” and that there is an emerging progressive group of evangelicals “discovering” there are other issues “just as important” as protecting the unborn and defending the biblical definition of marriage. Then a tired liberal political agenda is reframed in the language of faith. It’s not just political chicanery or religious wrangling, but simply fraud -- a form of wishful thinking that if repeated enough times, de facto becomes the truth. ...Southern Baptists’ example is representative of what behavioral economist Arthur C. Brooks, director of nonprofit studies for the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, found about conservatives. “For too long, liberals have been claiming they are the most virtuous members of American society,” he wrote in his book, Who Really Cares. “Although they usually give less to charity, they have nevertheless lambasted conservatives for their [supposed] callousness in the face of social injustice.” ...“[R]eligious folks...give nearly four times more dollars per year than secularists, on average, and volunteer more than twice as frequently.” And it is not simply a matter of religious people giving to their churches, but they are more charitable with nonreligious causes as well. “On average, people of faith give more than 50 percent more money each year to non-church social welfare organizations than [liberal] secularists do,” according to Brooks. Conservatives even donate more blood than do liberals. ...Herein lies the rub. You see, Barack Obama has a rather weak record of charitable giving. ...To McCain’s credit, records show since 1998 he has donated $1.8 million of book sales to charity and since 1991 he has donated $450,000 in Senate pay increases because he pledged not to accept them. ...The bottom line is, if you want to know a man's heart, see where he puts his treasure. Accordingly, if you want to know if a politician really cares for the poor, see if he gives to charity in his personal life. In the end, I'm convinced that giving less than one percent of your earnings in donations while enjoying the luxuries of life does not show much concern. So for me, before Wallis, Vanderslice and McLaren pitch Obama as the best candidate to champion the cause for “the least of these,” he needs to put his money where his mouth is to prove he really cares.
