Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness... Matthew 6 (We are to personally and individually seek FIRST the Kingdom of God AND His Righteousness ahead of all else including self and politics. This does not mean however we are to hide our Light or refrain from "reproving the world of sin." Imagine if the Christians who created our Republic did so.)
A Call to the Unseen Army -America in Crisis - We are watching unprecedented events unfold before our eyes. Years of cronyism, deceit, greed, and perfidy both by financial and governmental leaders has brought America to the brink of financial disaster. The world watches as our leaders attempt to impose on the American people the biggest bailout in our history. In its initial form, written into the bailout bill, was the demand that there be no oversight of any kind, by any agency, over the use of the 700 billion dollars allotted for the massive measure. While corrupt CEO's, who should be in prison, walk away from ruined institutions with millions, the American people are asked to shoulder the burden of their fecklessness.

News and commentary (News & Commentary)
California’s Illegal Nanny-State by: Bethany Stotts - The debate over illegal immigration—a culture war fought on the dual fronts of terminology and selective media coverage—reached another milestone this September, when the California state appeals court decided that a class-action lawsuit represented by the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) was improperly dismissed by the Yolo County superior court. The out-of-state plaintiffs filed suit in 2006 after California passed a law providing in-state tuition for exemption holders, including foreign nationals and illegal immigrants.
Ken Blackwell, Family Research Council, American Civil Rights Union and Buckeye Institute Senior Fellow - “Only 62 percent of Americans pay federal income tax, meaning that 38 percent get a 100 percent refund of any taxes withheld. So Mr. Obama's 95 percent that will receive money from the government includes roughly 33 percent of Americans who pay no income tax. One-third of Americans pay no income taxes yet would receive a government check of perhaps $1,000 or more. “That is pure income redistribution. Some pundits argue that this is Keynesian demand-side economics. It is not. Having the government take money from business entities or affluent individuals and giving it to those who pay no federal income taxes is not Keynesian. It's Marxist.”
The Ant and The Grasshopper, 2008 Edition by Michelle Malkin
Bailout Basics By Mark Alexander - “Every new regulation concerning commerce or revenue; or in any manner affecting the value of the different species of property, presents a new harvest to those who watch the change and can trace its consequences; a harvest reared not by themselves but by the toils and cares of the great body of their fellow citizens. This is a state of things in which it may be said with some truth that laws are made for the few not for the many.” James Madison ... Thus, the plan proposed by President George W. Bush and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson—waiting for majorities in Congress to determine the details—is an effort to stabilize investor confidence by authorizing up to $700 billion in guarantees for institutions holding mortgages. In effect, this will relieve lenders of liability for mortgages considered to be at risk of default—about five percent of all mortgages. It is hoped that Republicans can succeed in crafting legislation that is more workout than bailout, the former requiring much more market accountability, as proposed by Sen. McCain and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
Conservative Republicans Say They’re Standing Up for Taxpayers (CNSNews.com) – Democrats on Friday were blaming House Republicans and Republican presidential candidate John McCain for disrupting what Democrats claim was an almost-done deal on bailing out Wall Street. But reports in two mainstream newspapers on Friday suggest that House Republicans, in refusing to go along with a $700-billion bailout, are more in sync with the American public than Democrats and the Bush administration are.
The Democratic ACORN bailout - House Republicans refused to support the Henry Paulson/Chris Dodd compromise bailout plan yesterday afternoon, even after the New York Times reported that Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson got down on one knee to beg Nancy Pelosi to compromise. One of the sticking points, as Senator Lindsey Graham explained later, wasn’t a lack of begging but a poison pill that would push 20% of all profits from the bailout into the Housing Trust Fund — a boondoggle that Democrats in Congress has used to fund political-action groups like ACORN and the National Council of La Raza:
Last Living Founder of Pro-Abortion Group Admits He Lied -- Now Supports Measure 11 in South Dakota A new television ad carries a riveting twist about abortion history. Dr. Bernard Nathanson is the last living founder of NARAL, the pro-abortion organization founded in New York in the late 1960s. At one time, he was the nation's leading abortionist, responsible for more than 75,000 abortions. He explains, "This was the greatest mistake of my life and the greatest mistake in our nation's history."
Christians Face Dire Consequences If Proposition 8 Fails In California - The consequences are serious and grave if Prop 8 fails.
1. Children in public schools will be taught that same-sex marriage is just as good as traditional marriage.
The California Education Code already requires that health education classes instruct children about marriage. (§51890) Therefore, unless Proposition 8 passes, children will be taught that marriage is between any two adults regardless of gender. There will be serious clashes between the secular school system and the right of parents to teach their children their own values and beliefs.
2. Churches may be sued over their tax exempt status if they refuse to allow same-sex marriage ceremonies in their religious buildings open to the public.
3. Ministers who preach against same-sex marriages may be sued for “hate speech” and risk government fines. It already happened in Canada, a country that legalized gay marriage. A recent California court held that municipal employees may not say: “traditional marriage,” or “family values” because, after the same-sex marriage case, it is considered “hate speech.”
4. It will cost you money. This change in the definition of marriage will bring a cascade of lawsuits, including some already lost (like photographers now cannot refuse to photograph gay marriages, doctors cannot now refuse to perform artificial insemination of gays even given other willing doctors). Even if courts eventually find in favor of a defender of traditional marriage (highly improbable given today’s activist judges), think of the money – your tithe money – that will be spent on such legal battles.
5. Religious adoption agencies will be challenged by government agencies to give up their long-held right to place children only in homes with both a mother and a father. Catholic Charities in Boston already closed its doors in Massachusetts because courts legalized same-sex marriage there.
6. Religions that sponsor private schools with married student housing may be required to provide housing for same-sex couples, even if counter to church doctrine, or risk lawsuits over tax exemptions and related benefits.

Is Capitalism on the Ropes? by Larry Elder - This list includes the "lessons" of the recent turmoil in the financial markets. Nonsense.
...We need more regulation! ...A case for more government intervention! We have it -- lots of it. Ever hear of the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO)?
...Worst financial crisis since the Great Depression! ...According to the FDIC, in the almost two-year period of 2007 and 2008, 15 banks failed. Similarly, during Clinton's last two years in office, 1999 and 2000, 15 banks also failed. In the recession-free years of 1988 and 1989, there were 1,004 bank failures. And since the Great Depression, the average number of yearly bank failures has been 94.
...Failure of capitalism! What do you say we actually try capitalism, where private actors reap rewards and assume the risk? "Capitalism," says Kenneth Minogue, professor emeritus at the London School of Economics, "is what people do if you leave them alone." People want "hands off" until, that is, they want "hands on." People want homes, many preferring that option even when renting may be more prudent. Many want rent control to shield them from leasing at fair market rates. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama promises "world-class" education -- with taxpayers paying for it. And the federal government, in dramatic contradiction with the limited-government intention of the Constitution, involves itself in health care, guaranteeing private-sector retirement accounts, disaster relief, welfare, unemployment compensation benefits, retirement benefits, etc.
...So, yes, our recent financial turmoil does suggest failure -- a failure to truly practice capitalism and a failure to accept and believe in the value, appropriateness and morality of a limited government and maximum personal responsibility.

Guess again who's to blame for U.S. mortgage meltdown Analysts point not to greed, but to social activist politics While many pundits are pointing to corporate greed and a lack of government regulation as the cause for the American mortgage and financial crisis, some analysts are saying it wasn't too little government intervention that cased the mortgage meltdown, but too much, in the form of activists compelling the government to pressure Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae into unsound – though politically correct – lending practices. "Home mortgages have been a political piñata for many decades," writes Stan J. Liebowitz, economics professor at the University of Texas at Dallas, in a chapter of his forthcoming book, Housing America: Building out of a Crisis.
All Deliberate Speed: Constitutional Fidelity and Prudent Policy Go Hand in Hand in Fixing the Credit Crisis - There has been much muddled discussion about what legal issues might be raised by the proposed bailout. Heritage now has the bill of particulars laying out the constitutional problems with the Paulson plan, including: (1) Congress's enumerated power — or lack thereof — to intervene with private markets in the manner contemplated, (2) the lack of meaningful standards to guide the extremely broad grant of discretion to the Treasury secretary (the "legislative delegation" problem), (3) limitations on judicial review over the exercise of that almost limitless discretion, and (4) related separation of powers concerns.

George Soros, Maurice Strong and company redefine the Middleclass by Judi McLeod - While middle class Americans have been busy putting their youngsters through school and college, pooh-bahs like Buffet, George Soros and his Canadian sidekick Kyoto architect Maurice Strong, who hangs out with the likes of Al Gore and “Now-I’m-a-Christian” Mikhail Gorbachev have been rearranging their lives for them.
...Buffet, Soros, Strong and their ilk aren’t, as the mainstream media would have it, new age old men able to see through the mist of crystal balls. They’re influential powerbrokers in the corridors of power, enabled by vast personal wealth, and hard at work as agents of change. Barrack Hussein Obama is the one out in front talking about “Change we can believe in”, but the senator from Illinois is only the Pooh-bahs’ latest puppet.
...Described in countless media write-ups as a cross between the Wizard of Oz and Dr. No, the Canadian oil billionaire was the Secretary General of the 1992 UN Conference on the environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro where the unveiling of Agenda 21 took place and subtly began to change the world as the rest of us know it. It was on this momentous occasion where we discovered what Chairman Mo really thought of the middleclass…”current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class, involving high meat intake, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work air conditioning, and suburban housing (emphasis Canada Free Press) are not sustainable.”
...So how does UN Poster Boy Maurice Strong intend to harness America’s middleclass? This is what Strong told a reporter back in 1990, when he was describing what he called a fantasy scenario for the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, Switzerland--where 1,000 diplomats, CEOs and politicians gather annually “to address global issues”. What if a small group of these world leaders were to conclude that the principal risk to the earth comes from the actions of the rich countries?…In order to save the planet, the group decides: Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring this about? “This group of world leaders forms a secret society to bring about an economic collapse,” Strong told the reporter in painting his so-called fantasy scenario.
...Two weeks ago, financial analyst Jim Rogers said the bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac made America more communist than China! “This is welfare for the rich,” he said. “This is socialism for the rich. It’s bailing out the financiers, the banks, the Wall Streeters… Voices calling alarm include Anne Coulter:”now at a cost of hundreds of billions of dollars, middle-class-taxpayers are going to be forced to bail out the Democrats’ two most important constituent groups: rich Wall Street bankers and welfare recipients.” Reminding the middleclass that America’s spiral into economic chaos started with President Bill Clinton, Coulter wrote: “Political correctness had already ruined education, sports, science and entertainment. But it took a Democratic president with a Democratic congress for political correctness to wreck the financial industry.”
...So where does Buffet fit into the puzzle? The world’s second richest man, worth some $44 billion, gave 85% of his wealth in July of 2006 to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The lion’s share of the Gates foundation goes into United Nations sanctioned projects. Make that the fomenting for One World Government anti-American United Nations. As Henry Ford once said: “It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning. The one aim of these financiers is world control by the creation of inextinguishable debt.” Welcome to One World Government. Not only has it slipped in through the back door, it is right here about to keep you awake at night.
Please answer the following questions to see where you agree or disagree with Barack Obama: Brad O'Leary, author of The Audacity of Deceit , joined Glenn Beck to talk about some of the issues he came up with while investigating Barack Obama. He goes issue by issue to see how the most liberal Senator in the United States stacks up against the average American. One interesting survey question O'Leary thought to ask was 'how much in taxes should someone pay if they win a million dollars in the lottery?'

Obama Wants NRA Ads Banned By: Newsmax staff - The Obama camp has been threatening television and radio stations to keep them from airing anti-Obama ads. The latest target is the NRA and stations in Pennsylvania. Earlier this week, the National Rifle Association's Political Victory Fund released a series of radio and television spots to educate gun owners and sportsmen about Barack Obama's longstanding anti-gun record. In response to the NRA-PVF ads, a clearly panicked Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) are doing everything they can to hide Obama's real record by mounting a coordinated assault on the First Amendment.
They have gone to desperate and outrageous lengths to try to silence your NRA by bullying media outlets with threats of lawsuits if they run NRA-PVF's ads. The Obama camp is particularly angry with an NRA ad entitled "Hunter" which lays out Obama's record on gun control. You can see the "Hunter" ad -- Go Here Now.
Other NRA ads include "Way of Life" and another focusing on Joe Biden's record, "Defend Freedom, Defeat Obama." This week, Obama's campaign general counsel Bob Bauer wrote seeking to censor the ads at stations in Pennsylvania. "Unlike federal candidates, independent political organizations do not have a 'right to command the use of broadcast facilities,'" Bauer writes. "Moreover, you have a duty 'to protect the public from false, misleading or deceptive advertising.'"
"This advertising is false, misleading, and deceptive," Bauer continued. "We request that you immediately cease airing this advertising."
The NRA says Obama's camp are sending out these "intimidating cease and desist letters" to cable operators and television stations, threatening their FCC licenses if they run the ads. The NRA charged that "Obama and the DNC have been using strong-arm tactics reminiscent of Chicago machine politics to try and cover up the truth and silence NRA by forcing the stations to assist them in hiding Obama's radical anti-gun record."
And now, Obama and the DNC have opened a new front in their assault on your First Amendment rights by calling on their followers to contact these station managers to demand that the stations not run NRA-PVF's ads.
NRA stands behind the accuracy of these ads, and NRA attorneys have responded to the Obama campaign's despicable and abusive attempt to trample on the First Amendment by sending a thorough rebuttal to station managers. This rebuttal clearly and conclusively refutes the Obama campaign's fallacious claims that the ads are inaccurate.
The NRA has set up a web site detailing its position on Obama at www.gunbanobama.com. A copy of the NRA's letter to station, written by its counsel Cleta Mitchell, follows below: ...

Kissinger: Obama Was Wrong - During Friday night's presidential debate, Barack Obama claimed that one of John McCain's advisers, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, supported his view that the U.S. president should meet with Iran's president and other rogue dictators without preconditions. The point made McCain livid, as he repeatedly pointed out that Kissinger, his friend of 35 years, would never back such a dangerous position. McCain turned out to be right. Kissinger released a statement immediately after the debate. It read: "Sen. McCain is right. I would not recommend the next president of the United States engage in talks with Iran at the presidential level." "Look, I'll sit down with anybody, but there's got to be preconditions," McCain said during the debate. He painted Obama's previously stated position as reckless and naive.

Indoctrination: "Mainstream" Media, Hollywood,& Education? - (Media, Hollywood, Secular Education) The good, the bad, and the ugly...Without a Heritage every generation starts over Will our descendants know moral virtue? The primary responsibility of education DOES NOT belong to schools. (Deuteronomy 6:5-7)
"A trained intelligence can do much, but there is no substitute for morality, character and religious conviction." President Calvin Coolidge
"Knowledge unenlightened by the truth of God is dark knowledge. We may have a B.S., an M.S., and a Ph.D., but without the Lord all we have is dark information. It may help navigate us in the world of darkness, but by itself will never lead us to the truth. Apart from the revelation of the Spirit of God, none of us could ever find our way into the light. Darkly educated people are like those whom Paul described to his young protégé', Timothy, as 'always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.'" Schools Are Rewarded for Not Teaching Immigrant Students English - Why would schools perpetuate a policy that is so contrary to common sense? Why sideline kids at an age when they could quickly learn the English language and be taught in English along with all the other students? The answer is: Money. Schools are paid a lot of extra money for keeping kids sidelined in ESL classes. Schools receive 50% more for each student enrolled in an ESL program. Plainly stated: Schools lose money, if they quickly teach immigrant students English. They literally are punished if they do what is best for the kids. And here’s something that might surprise you about all this extra money: It does not have to be used to insure that non-English speaking students are learning English. Schools are free to use the extra money for anything they want. This process wastes taxpayer dollars fails to help children.

New visitor center omits America's religious past A Virginia Republican congressman says House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) and veteran Senator Robert Byrd (D-West Virginia) are allowing the new $621 million Visitor Center for the U.S. Capitol to become a "shrine to political correctness" that omits the significant role Christian faith played in the founding of the U.S. government. The Capitol Visitor Center (CVC) in Washington, D.C., is currently under construction but scheduled to open in December to an estimated 15,000 people a day. Virginia Representative Randy Forbes contends the exhibits displayed in the Visitor Center contain few and factually inaccurate references to the nation's religious heritage. For example, the reference to "religion, morality, and knowledge" in the Northwest Ordinance is excluded. Forbes notes the national motto "In God We Trust" has even been removed from the underground building.

Documentary Examines Role of Christian Faith in History of Freedom If it weren’t for the Christian faith, the birth of freedom and liberty would not have been possible, according to a new documentary from the Action Institute. In “The Birth of Freedom,” Action Institute takes a look at key freedom fighters and associated documents to trace the historical development of the principles of liberty and freedom that endow Americans with “unalienable” rights as “equal” men. From the plight of slave abolitionist William Wilberforce and America’s founding father Thomas Jefferson to civil rights figure the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., the documentary shows how the Christian faith was inextricably linked to their cries for freedom. “Think of what a scandal it would be if we were to say the abolitionists should have kept their Christian faith out of the struggle against slavery. Rev. Martin Luther King should have kept his Christian faith out of the struggle for civil rights. People who fought against the terrible crimes committed in the name of eugenics should have kept their faith out of politics,” said Prof. Robert P. George of Princeton University in the documentary.
