worshiped by means of human sacrifice. Pagans who worshiped Moloch often
sacrificed one of their own children, who was ritually murdered and then placed
in a sacrificial altar of fire. The sacrifice of the child was to assure a
blessing of prosperity for the family. Some followed the Canaanite practice of
placing under the front doorstep of the family home the bones that remained
after the burning of the child. In short, a child was murdered for the promised convenience and prosperity the
family was to receive from Moloch. This sounds barbaric to those of us living in
the 21st century. It seems barbaric until it is realized that since the Roe v.
Wade decision, nearly 50 million babies have been murdered legally in the United
States for the convenience or prosperity of their mothers and other family
members. Abortion has the same intended outcome of personal and family
prosperity as did the sacrifice of a child at the altar of Moloch.

Similar to a successful corporation, the billion dollar infanticide business is the result of one of the most successful marketing campaigns in American history. This "silent holocaust" where 3,500 American babies are aborted daily, is the ultimate exploitation of women. But the people who work at abortion clinics, and the politicians who sustain and encourage such establishments, earn a living by selling abortion through perpetuating the two great lies: a fetus is not a baby, and abortion is good for the woman. The pro-life documentary “Blood Money: the Business of Abortion” details how that industry is thriving financially. Carol Everett, the former owner of independent abortion clinics who was interviewed for the film, stated that the primary motivation for those entering that business is a desire to make money, therefore, they skillfully market their product to sell it to women in crisis. Ms. Everett stated that pro-choice advocates want the breakdown of the family and encourage sexual education, knowing those two situations would increase the likelihood of teenage girls being sexually active. Abortion clinics offer a sense of false security through their distribution of birth control. However, they dispense the cheapest condoms and birth control pills with the lowest dose of hormones knowing that such contraception will have a higher rate of failure. The goal, stated Carol Everett, is “three to five abortions when the girl was between thirteen and eighteen years old.”

A group called "The REAL Women's Voices Project" has conducted a survey of Americans' understanding of the decision that legalized abortion on demand in the U.S. Marjorie Dannenfelser says the survey showed that 65 percent of the people claim familiarity with the law. "Then, when asked to identify the sentence that most closely reflects what Roe v. Wade is, only 29 percent were able to identify that correctly," she says. Dannenfelser explains that most people do not realize the Roe only bars states from banning abortions. "They think that [Roe] just made it legal. So, therefore, NOW and NARAL and all the abortion advocates try to keep that going, because they want people to think that if Roe v. Wade is overturned there are no abortions available in this country at all -- and that is simply not true." Pornography - Quitting the habit Charlie Butts - OneNewsNow - The damage from pornography addiction runs deep, but one author has found freedom through Christ.
Author and speaker Jarrod Jones has written a book called 13 Ways to Ruin Your Life. In his travels, he has been amazed at the number of Christians who admit to having a problem with pornography.
"Messages have bombarded them, as well the temptations of sexual sin have come upon them so powerfully," he notes. "Through the testimonies they share with me, I have been shocked at how many have felt the openness to share with me their struggle with pornography -- I'm talking from ministers to married men, businessmen, men in ministry, young men."
Jones personally struggled through the damaging effects of pornography addiction and the subsequent loss of a relationship. He calls the Bible a starting place and the central focus of recovery. "Proverbs 7, which deals with watching a young man falling into sexual sin and what it's going to cost him, and it's going to ruin his life," he explains.
13 Ways is not a tell-all book, but Jones uses his personal experiences to illustrate how Christ can change a person. "With those battles in my life and those experiences, I discovered that...Jesus began changing [those desires] because of his Spirit within me," he adds. "My desires were to be more about him, and with my mind, with my eyes, with my ears, with my body, and to pursue him in that way."

Pedophilia and Homosexuality

A June 24 Metro article relates the fears of homosexuals who feel they are being unfairly linked to the pedophilia scandal in the Catholic Church.
In fact, the real scandal is that the press has failed to adequately investigate the link between homosexuality and child sexual abuse. The Family Research Council has just released a comprehensive report on the subject, which connects the dots. The report, titled "Homosexuality and Child Sexual Abuse," brings to light some significant findings:
* Pedophiles are invariably males: A report by the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children states: "In both clinical and non-clinical samples, the vast majority of offenders are male." The book "Sexual Offending Against Children" reports that only 12 of 3,000 incarcerated pedophiles in England were women.
* Significant numbers of victims are males: A study of 457 male sex offenders against children in the Journal of Sex & Marital Therapy found that "approximately one-third of these sexual offenders directed their sexual activity against males."
* Homosexuals comprise less than 3 percent of the population, not "8 to 10 percent" as your article reported. A recent study in Demography estimates the number of exclusive male homosexuals in the general population at 2.5 percent, and the number of exclusive lesbians at 1.4
percent.
* Homosexuals are over-represented in child sex offenses: Individuals from the 1 to 3 percent of the population that is sexually attracted to the same sex are committing up to one-third of the sex crimes against children. A study in the Journal of Sex Research found that although heterosexuals outnumber homosexuals by a ratio of at least 20 to 1, homosexual pedophiles commit about one-third of the total number of child sex offenses.
The evidence shows a direct correlation between homosexuality and pedophilia. Your story should have included such evidence, because it affects not just the Catholic Church but all those concerned with shielding children from sexual abuse.
