The Kingdom of God

"Seek ye first the Kingdom of God..." For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Romans 14:17

The seed is the word of God. Jesus - Luke 8:11

Although "Christianity" is widely referred to as a "religion," the term "religion" takes away and diminishes the intent of Jesus and the Kingdom He came to proclaim. The "Good News" of the "Kingdom of God" that Jesus came to reveal is for believers to have a relationship with God, the Father and Son (the King) through the Holy Spirit.

1. What is the Kingdom of God? Paul answered this clearly defined the Kingdom of God in Romans 14:17.
2. What did Jesus talk about throughout the Gospel of John. Primarily John chapters 3, 4, 7, 14-17.
3. Jesus defined "Eternal Life" in His prayer to the Father in John 17:3, which is to KNOW the Father and Jesus Christ.
Much of this is covered throughout the Kingdom of God section on EarsToHear.net. You might want to see these pages:

Sir Lionel Luckhoo (1914-1997), was ambassador of Barbados and Guyana. Knighted by the Queen of England, he was listed in The Guinness Book of World Records as the world's most successful criminal attorney. Sir Lionel Luckhoo, who spoke to presidents, kings, parliaments and the United Nations, stated: "The bones of Muhammad are in Medina, the bones of Confucius are in Shantung, the cremated bones of Buddha are in Nepal. Thousands pay pilgrimages to worship at their tombs which contain their bones. But in Jerusalem there is a cave cut into the rock. This is the tomb of Jesus. IT IS EMPTY! YES, EMPTY! BECAUSE HE IS RISEN! He died, physically and historically. He arose from the dead, and now sits at the right hand of God."

Has Jesus Risen to the Throne of YOUR Life?  "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you." (Romans 8:11) What other “prophet” or “teacher” or “holy man” has risen from the dead? - "

Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me. If you had known me, you should have known my Father also: and from henceforth you know him, and have seen him. Philip said unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it will suffice us. Jesus said unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have you not known me, Philip? he that has seen me has seen the Father; and how do you say then, Show us the Father?" (John 14:6-9)

Either Jesus is Who He says He is, or He is a liar. - "When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that you art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, You art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 16:13-17  --- Whom do you say Jesus is?

Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign will you show unto us, seeing that you do these things? Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. John 2:18-19

The "Good News" of the "Kingdom of God" that Jesus came to reveal is for believers to have a relationship with God the Father and His Son (the King) through the Holy Spirit as Jesus proclaimed: "...the Spirit of Truth, Whom the world is not able to accept, because it does not see and does not know Him..."Jesus: John 14:17) For the message of the cross on the one hand is foolishness to the lost, but on the other hand, to those among us who are saved, it is the power of God, for it has been written (Isaiah 29:14), “I shall destroy the wisdom of the wise And I shall do away with the understanding of the intelligent.” (1 Corinthians 1:18)

Ezekiel 3:18-21 - When I say unto the wicked, You shall surely die; and you give him not warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if you warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul. Again, When a righteous man does turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also you hast delivered thy soul.

And when he (Jesus) was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God comes not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Luke 17:20-21

...Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. Acts 19:1-6

He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies

Romans 7:24-8:16 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
