Education or Indoctrination?

Are parents complicit, complacent or pro-active on whether their children are being educated or indoctrinated?

The primary responsibility of education DOES NOT belong to schools.


Congress enshrined these words in creating the Department of Education in 1979:

"Parents have the primary responsibility for the education of their children, and States, localities, and private institutions have the primary responsibility for supporting that parental role."

Conversing the challenges to the propaganda being indoctrinated (global warming, gender, CRT, etc.) is proving to have minimal impact as it is a constant lesson being drilled into these young minds. Government-run schools with the union, NEA, and Democrat Party affiliation will never relinquish their dominance and indoctrination until the funding is drastically impacted by parents arising to facing the fact that it is an utmost concern that their children are being programmed into a Marxist state under the fallacy that a Utopian society can be obtained by government.

Lewis' classic work of literature, Screwtape Proposes a Toast, a 1959 sequel to The Screwtape Letters (1942), in which Lewis predicted the state of public education today. Lewis "depicts the devil Screwtape plotting to destroy young minds through a corrupted public education system ... [he] outlines Screwtape's plan for our children. We are living in Screwtape's world—a world in which nearly all education is state-run education, and the govern­ment school system seeks to eradicate all competition, including homeschooling. As Christians, we are at war with Screwtape and his ilk."
   Youssef advises parents to be aware of these forces at school that seek to reshape their children's beliefs and to stay attuned to what their children are being taught. He advises them to ask children questions about their day and what they are learning (dinnertime is an excellent time for these conversations).

And too often, teacher unions, instead of modeling positive social behavior, promote indoctrination of students on partisan political viewpoints. They also make outlandish demands in exchange for teachers returning to the classroom to provide the services they’ve been hired to fulfill — in-person schooling for our children.

   Civics, defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary as “a social science dealing with the rights and duties of citizens,” is nonexistent in most American schools today. Forty-two of our 50 states don’t require civics for graduation. This was not always the case. Civics used to be foundational to public education. As Charles Salter points out in an article for Education Week, since its beginnings, public education’s basic purpose was to “preserve and perpetuate a functioning democratic society by educating citizens in the ways of that democracy.” Thomas Jefferson wisely noted that public education should “educate and inform the whole mass of the people. They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.”

    Salter goes on to say that without civics, we are producing “an electorate that has not been taught to think deeply about how a democracy is supposed to function, the public’s role in making it function, or how to assess the information it receives before making decisions.” This lack of education results in an inability to self-govern effectively. Look no further than the mob rule that has become commonplace in America’s largest cities during the last year for a dramatic example of this ignorance of civics playing out.

Action Civics Is Teaching Our Kids to Protest - By Katharine Gorka - Many young Americans seem to have a growing disdain for our country. According to a Gallup poll, pride in our nation has declined, especially among young adults. ...One reason this is happening is what our children are being taught in school. And that doesn't mean only in college. We all know college campuses have become centers of radical indoctrination, but now it is happening in K-12 as well, through something called action civics, a new movement in civic education. As educator Thomas Lindsay explains, action civics was born in 2010 when six organizations set out to redefine civic education. Dissatisfied with traditional civics, which depended on book learning, they wanted to create a new civics that was more experiential. They wanted kids to engage, get involved, get active.
   The problem is that without a solid understanding of why the Founders were so deliberate in designing our self-governing republic, with its separation of powers to prevent any one branch from becoming tyrannical, or establishing the rule of law so that we would not be subject to the whims of any one person, we risk falling into the same traps of other, less just regimes. Indeed it is no accident that today's protests are looking more like the French Revolution, with its guillotines and beheadings, than the American Revolution, with its debates and deliberations.

Critical Race Theory is an outgrowth of the European Marxist school of critical theory, critical race theory is an academic movement which seeks to link racism, race, and power. Unlike the Civil Rights movement, which sought to work within the structures of American democracy, critical race theorists challenge the very foundations of the liberal order, such as rationalism, constitutional law, and legal reasoning. Critical race theorists argue that American social life, political structures, and economic systems are founded upon race, which (in their view) is a social construct.

   Young George Washington wrote in long-hand 110 principles put together by Jesuits about how to live right and be a gentleman.

   "What 12-year-old today do you think would take the time to have a journal and to hand-write out rules of civility and civil discourse?" Cote asked. "He wrote down these principles so he would learn them. And our founding father, the head of them all, George Washington, this was ingrained in him young."

   She added, "All of the founding fathers were raised to be respectful, good citizens."

   They Learned All About Greece, Rome, Right and Wrong.

   "They studied the mistakes of mighty empires like Rome and the intellectuals of Greece, learning what went wrong. They clearly understood their God-given natural rights and their long-held rights and responsibilities as proud Englishmen. And that's why they valued freedom and liberty. They learned from history how precious freedom truly is, and how vigilant a people must remain to hang onto it," Cote wrote in a commentary for CNSNews.

   Colonial society at that time was pretty much based on the lessons and literature of Christianity, which imbued good students with morals, virtues and civility.

   "Children were learning their ABC's based on Bible characters," Cote said. "Learning not to take the Lord's name in vain, for example, and to love your school and respect others. They were learning all these general principles in their classrooms."

   ...Today's public schools not only don't teach out of the Bible, they don't teach how important Christianity was to the founding fathers. Or they maybe just suggest founders like Washington were deists, believing only in a distant, uninvolved God.

   Cote said in their younger years, "They were learning who are the heroes of history, what they did right, what they did wrong. What governments worked, what governments did not. They learned mankind over time. So as they grew, they were inspired and encouraged. And they knew, 'okay this didn't work in the past. Let's make something new that we can try that's never been tried before.'"  


A DEFENCE OF THE USE OF THE BIBLE IN SCHOOLS By Dr. Benjamin Rush (1745-1813), distinguished physician and signer of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Dr. Rush was an outspoken Christian, statesman, and pioneering medical doctor. He was a prolific author, publishing the first American chemistry textbook. In 1797, President John Adams appointed Rush as Treasurer of the U.S. Mint, a position he held until 1813. He also founded America's first Bible society. At the time of his death in 1813, he was heralded as one of the three most notable figures of America, the other two being George Washington and Benjamin Franklin.


Modern Education: Activism Has Displaced Academics - Fascism in our schools is raising kids who are the antithesis of what the Founders stood for. - By Robin Smith ...In "A Place of Reading," the American Antiquarian Society noted, "Mothers, entrusted with the care and well-being of their children's souls, faithfully sat them down and taught them to read at home.

   "The Bible, however, was the staple instructional reading text. The most humble of homes usually possessed a Bible or two with which to instruct children and to engage in daily religious devotions." The homes of the colonies taught reading to both girls and boys and, as the historical archive of printed material published through 1876, observed, "Children were considered ready for further educational instruction outside the home once they had mastered reading the Bible, but not before then."

   ...Today, education is a massive system that has become bureaucratic, with more of a focus on the process rather than the result. What we're seeing today, in very large measure, is a system influenced by "thought leaders" and individuals with more focus on political correctness and controlling behavior through constructing norms in the classroom that may be, and very often are, contrary to the norms taught in the home or faith community.

   ...Wake up parents, grandparents, and Patriots! We must reclaim our education system and stop the indoctrination. Our children deserve academics, not activism in the classroom. The latest child-indoctrination scheme: SEL - (Sept. 2017) Exclusive: Linda Harvey takes aim at 'social emotional learning' in government schools ...It's "social emotional learning (SEL), a plan so personally invasive that schools can gain access to every aspect of a child's life and development, acting as a virtual parent, even without parental consent. ...An important conference will be held next week (Sept. 26) in Bloomington, Minnesota, by the Child Protection League (CPL), thoroughly examining social emotional learning. Experts tracking this trend and "safe schools" programs will be making presentations at "Hijacking Their Minds: How "safe schools" and social emotional learning (SEL) indoctrinate our children." .."Stella Morabito brings an urgent message for our time. Children (and adults) today are being forced to say what they know is not true ("preferred pronouns" for gender non-conforming students) and prohibited from speaking what they know is true. The state is seeking to control and regulate our very ability to think and to communicate. Morabito calls it "coercive thought reform." Dr. Karen Effrem will show how Social Emotional Learning is a vehicle." ...SEL behavior-shaping programs are well underway in many states, among them California, Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, West Virginia and Washington.  


Reason No. 345 to Remove Your Kids From Public Schools - by Gary DeMar - Here's the latest forced indoctrination: On Wednesday, the federal government declared itself fit for the madhouse by mandating that a Chicago high school allow a full biological male into the girls locker room for all purposes, including nudity. This biological male, the feds determined, was different because he thinks he is a female. ...It's not going stop here. The educational bureaucrats and organizations like the ACLU and the LGBT+ crowd will continue to exploit your children until they declare that they love Big Brother and every sexual perversion it demands your children accept as "normal."

   ...The school will bow to the government because it does not want to lose its funding, funding that was first taken from the people of the school district, sent up through the Department of Education to pay five thousand bureaucrats with a budget of nearly $70 billion, and only then sent back to the states and held over them as blackmail if the schools don't do the government's bidding.  


Why Home Schooling? - By Walter E. Williams - Many public primary and secondary schools are dangerous places. The Justice Department's Bureau of Justice Statistics and the Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics show that in 2012, there were about 749,200 violent assaults on students. In the 2011-12 academic year, there were a record 209,800 primary- and secondary-school teachers who reported being physically attacked by a student. Nationally, an average of 1,175 teachers and staff were physically attacked, including being knocked out, each day of that school year. In Baltimore, each school day in 2010, an average of four teachers and staff were assaulted. Each year, roughly 10 percent of primary- and secondary-school teachers are threatened with bodily harm.

   Many public schools not only are dangerous but produce poor educational results. According to the National Assessment of Educational Progress for 2013, sometimes called the Nation's Report Card (https://tinyurl.com/mn6snpf), only 33 percent of white 12th-graders tested proficient in math, and 47 percent tested proficient in reading. For black 12th-graders, it was a true tragedy, with only 7 percent testing proficient in math and 16 percent in reading. These grossly disappointing educational results exist despite massive increases in public education spending.


No Left Turn in Education - Our Mission: To revive in American K-12 education the fundamental discipline of critical and active thinking which is based on facts, investigation, logic and sound reasoning.

    Parents, children and teachers are afraid to speak up and resist. In No Left Turn in Education we believe in restoring the intended relationship between parents and the public education.     (Western Journal) After watching the left-wing indoctrination slowly seep into her children's public school curriculum, and after being confronted by "woke" parents upon questioning the ideology being presented in the classroom, Elana Fishbein founded an activist parent group called "No Left Turn in Education."

Fishbein, who described such ideology as "pure poison to children's souls," told the Times that both the 1619 Project and critical race theory need to be pushed back against at the multiple local and federal levels of government. Her group, she said, now has chapters in 20 states. The group is beginning to work with lawmakers at these different levels to combat the race-focused propaganda.


In 1818, Thomas Jefferson described the goals of education: "To give to every citizen the information he needs for the transaction of his own business; To enable him to calculate for himself, and to express and preserve his ideas, his contracts and accounts, in writing; To improve by reading, his morals and faculties; To understand his duties to his neighbors and country, and to discharge with competence the functions confided to him by either; To know his rights; to exercise with order and justice those he retains; to choose with discretion the fiduciary of those he delegates; and to notice their conduct with diligence, with candor and judgment; And, in general, to observe with intelligence and faithfulness all the social relations under which he shall be placed."


In Paris, John Adams wrote in his diary, June 2, 1778: "In vain are schools, academies, and universities instituted, if loose principles and licentious habits are impressed upon children in their earliest years... How is it possible that children can have any just sense of the sacred obligations of Morality or Religion if, from their earliest infancy...their fathers (are) in as constant infidelity to their mothers?"

How "Systemic Liberalism" Failed Public Education in America - By Robert Basmadjian ...Freedom of thought, tolerance, and inclusion, once foundational principles of liberalism, have been replaced by social conditioning and disdain for, and suppression of, opposing views. Public education is a prime example.

   ...Over the past several years, systemic liberalism has metastasized throughout the public education system. By partnering with The New York Times and radical advocacy groups such as the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, the NEA and its liberal positions are indoctrinating our youth. NEA-endorsed curriculum developed to "inform" and to "challenge students to reframe U.S. history" will condition students to accept and normalize liberal social constructs such as white privilege and institutional racism, as well as slanted and distorted views of American history.

Good teachers (which include parents, mentors, and other knowledgeable adults) train students in methods of thought while supplying the stuff of thought. I have met numerous amazing teachers, principles, and administrators who are doing their best to educate the next generation of Americans to succeed in this ever-changing culture and world.

   During my last two public school presentations, I was applauded by teachers and students" but not before everyone looked over their shoulders wondering how in the world I could discuss the topic of the biblical underpinnings of American Government in their school. There is an ominous presence holding everyone in fear, and purposefully preventing them from teaching any historical realities of America, her God, and her current crisis. Instead, this presence is forcing the institution of the godless, socialist empire. Public schools are rapidly attacking America's origins, and the results are devolving us from true liberty.

The Cost of Sending Your Kids to Public School Just Might Be Their Souls - by Cathy Ruse ...Not only are American public schools hostile to religious faith, there are hostile to America. Hasson discussed how there is much less history taught today, less civics, but more activism. Capitalism is degraded, socialism is promoted, with your tax dollars. But the game-changer, said Hasson, is the "fractured concept" of the human person that public schools now teach. Sex confusion and transsexualism are dogma. o Sexualization, Pornography, and Grooming in the Schools By Amy Contrada WARNING: This article has sexually explicit content. ,,,But the capitulation to "good" sex ed came long ago.  And so, we've arrived at the sexualized school culture described by two young girls below.  They went to the Washington State House on Feb. 20 to testify against S.B. 5395 (which would make CSE mandatory in all public schools). These 8th-grade girls were subjected in earlier grades to a curriculum called FLASH (Family Life and Sexual Health).  Planned Parenthood has contributed materials to that CSE curriculum (and others).  In grades 4-6, for example, boys and girls (in class together) will learn to properly name their genitals: penis, scrotum, labia, vulva, vagina.  They will fill in a worksheet including the terms circumcision, conception, ejaculation, erection, genitals, intercourse, nocturnal emission, semen, sperm, etc.  (See more details here.)  It's a great way to break down modesty and get young children thinking and talking about sex during the school day.

o Parents: Watch For These Red Flags at School - By Linda Harvey -  Consulting the essential wisdom of the Huffington Post "Gay Voices" page, we learn that one high-school social studies teacher who just "came out" as homosexual last year is determined to weave homosexual themes into the classroom wherever possible. His method will be to assume a boy might not be heterosexual, for instance. So when chatting with a male student about dating, he will refer to his possible girlfriend or boyfriend, to make him feel more comfortable.
   ...So, this year if you really would rather your son or daughter not be taught that homosexuality is inborn, that it's no big deal, and that the Bible's instruction against homosexuality is wrong, hateful, or dismissible, watch for the presence of these "gay agenda" elements at your child's school:
   1) "Gay" history, which attempts to normalize, exalt and sometimes invent the homosexual preferences of famous historical figures. Whatever other talents these folks possessed, they would always have done better without any "gay" behavior.
   2)"LGBT" advocacy disguised as "civil rights." It's not hateful, but constructive, to question homosexual behavior or gender confusion, and this vicious, deceitful movement is nothing like race relations.
   3) Same-sex families being portrayed as a normal, uncontroversial variation in stories or lessons, even in math class. "Jenna and her dads bought milk. How many cups are in a gallon?"
   4)"Health" education that smoothly advocates homosexuality but fails to note the 30,000 new HIV cases among male homosexuals each year in the U.S., and that the rate among the youth segment alone has more than doubled in the past decade. HIV is not "everyone's" disease, condoms are unreliable and abstinence remains the best option.
   5) "Gay"-straight alliances as legitimate school clubs, whose existence creates the false impression that homosexuality and gender change are acceptable. Educate your children that, while unkind behavior is off limits, none of these students should be engaging in these behaviors and these students are not a different category of human. True equality is that in God's eyes; He expects the same avoidance of sin from them as He does from all of us.

o TEACHERS READY TO HAND OUT FREE CONDOMS TO 12-YEAR-OLDS - By JENNIFER LECLAIRE - Twelve-year-olds should be learning to do math and science, not being equipped to have premarital, prepubescent sex. Apparently, an Oregon school district disagrees. The Gervais School District board approved condom distribution to students who are in the sixth grade and up at the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year. Apparently, the motive is to curb teen pregnancy. KATU reports nine girls got pregnant this year, about 5 percent of the girls in grades six through 12. Having the high school just 40 feet away may have something to do with it. "The board has a small community to consider," said District Superintendent Rick Hensel. "Their decision was that making condoms available was going to be positive thing for this community, albeit controversial, but a positive thing. Students will get the free condoms from teachers, but not before talking to a nurse, counselor or sexual education teacher. In an age of immorality, does handing out free condoms encourage illicit sex or is the school using wisdom to curb teen pregnancy. Isn't there a better way?

o Gay Agenda Being Pushed into Public Schools - By Dave Jolly - ...Last month, GLSEN Massachusetts held their annual conference in Boston where they hoped to introduce teachers, students and other homosexual activists to their liberal and perverted agenda. On their website, they state the purpose of the conference as: "The conference is an opportunity for more than 250 students, educators, parents, and school staff to spend a day building community and sharing resources for creating safer, more affirming schools for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning (LGBTQ) youth, educators, and allies."
   In all of this, where does it say anything about the "straight" agenda? The only place it appears is in their name, not in their actions. Brian Camenker, Founder and President of MassResistance has been working for nearly 20 years trying to stop the gay agenda of working its way into the Massachusetts public schools. He commented about the Boston conferencesaying: "They want kids to feel comfortable around homosexuality and those issues, feel comfortable coming out, feel comfortable taking on those behaviors, feeling comfortable with everything about it." ..."You wouldn't think you could integrate homosexuality into much, but they do by saying something like "a woman does this and her wife does this. They will bring in homosexual themed books. One of their favorites is to claim that historical figures Eleanor Roosevelt, for example - were actually homosexual."

This isn't just happening in Massachusetts, but in every state of the country. GLSEN is working with state and federal legislatures, the Department of Education and school districts everywhere pushing to get their agenda into your kids' education and they are succeeding. This is another reason why parents should do whatever they can to keep their kids away from the public school system which currently is teaching nothing Christian, wholesome, moral or virtuous. A nation can be lost in one generation and we are losing America now. The future depends upon what your kids are being taught now.

o The next time a liberal tries persuade you that public education would improve if only the evil Republicans would give the schools more money, show them this simple, yet powerful chart: - BY STEVE STRAUB - Then show them this video that shows the true costs of public education: According to a new study by the Cato Institute, some of the nation's largest public school districts are underreporting the true cost of government-run education programs. Cato Education Analyst Adam B. Schaeffer explains that the nations five largest metro areas and the District of Columbia are blurring the numbers on education costs. On average, per-pupil spending in these areas is 44 percent higher than officially reported. Districts on average spent nearly $18,000 per student and yet claimed to spend just $12,500 last year. There is no connection between more funding and better education results. Educational quality has suffered because of increased federal control over education.
o Public Schools Are Preparing America's Children For Life In A Police State by Michael Snyder - Our children are the future of America, and our public schools are systematically training them to become accustomed to living in a "Big Brother" police state.  All across the United States today, public schools have essentially become "prison grids" that are run by control freaks that are absolutely obsessed with micromanaging the lives of their students down to the smallest detail. As you will read about below, students all over the country are now being monitored by RFID microchips, their lunches are being inspected on a daily basis by school administrators, and the social media accounts of students are being constantly monitored even when they are at home.  Of course these sorts of things do not happen everywhere just yet, but on the path that we are on it is just a matter of time.  At this point, many of our public schools very closely resemble "totalitarian dictatorships", and so if the United States ever slips into totalitarianism the students of today will actually feel very comfortable under that political system.

o Where do public school teachers send their own kids? LARRY ELDER - Guy walks into a restaurant. Says to the waitress, "I'd like some scrambled eggs and some kind words." She brings the eggs. The guy smiles, "Now how about the kind words?" Waitress whispers, "Don't eat the eggs."... About 11 percent of all parents - nationwide, rural and urban - send their children to private schools. The numbers are much higher in urban areas. One study found that in Philadelphia a staggering 44 percent of public school teachers send their own kids to private schools. In Cincinnati and Chicago, 41 and 39 percent of public school teachers, respectively, pay for a private school education for their children. In Rochester, New York, it's 38 percent. In Baltimore it's 35 percent, San Francisco is 34 percent and New York-Northeastern New Jersey is 33 percent. In Los Angeles nearly 25 percent of public school teachers send their kids to private school versus 16 percent of Angelenos who do so. The study, conducted in 2004 by the Fordham Institute, said: "These findings are apt to be embarrassing for teacher unions, considering those organizations" political animus toward assisting families to select among schools.

o Newly Discovered Eighth Grade Exam From 1912 Shows How Dumbed Down America Has Become By Michael Snyder - We have become so "dumbed down" that we don't even realize what has happened to us.  But once in a while something comes along that reminds us of how far we have fallen.  In Kentucky, an eighth grade exam from 1912 was recently donated to the Bullitt County History Museum.  When I read this exam over, I was shocked at how difficult it was.  Could most eighth grade students pass such an exam today?  Of course not.  In fact, I don't even think that I could pass it.  Sadly, this is even more evidence of "the deliberate dumbing down of America" that former Department of Education official Charlotte Iserbyt is constantly warning us about.  The American people are not nearly as mentally sharp as they once were, and with each passing generation it gets even worse. Just check out some of the questions from the eighth grade exam that was discovered.  Do you think that you could correctly answer these?"

o More Spending Hasn't Boosted 17-Year-Olds' Reading or Math Scores Since 1970s By Susan Jones - Although per-pupil education spending has more than doubled since the early 1970s, students aren't getting much smarter, according to the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), administered by the U.S. Education Department.
   A report released on June 27measures the long-term academic performance of 9-, 13-, and 17-year-old students in reading and math, providing what the NAEP calls "the most extended retrospective picture of student achievement in the United States." Of the 50,000 public and private school students who took the tests last year, both 9- and 13-year-olds scored higher in reading and mathematics than did students their age in the early 1970s. But 17-year-olds did not show similar gains.
   The 2012 reading assessment indicates that 94 percent of 17-year-olds lack the highest level of reading proficiency; 61 percent could not understand or interpret complicated information; and 18 percent lacked the ability to "make generalizations" about what they read. In mathematics, only 7 percent of 17-year-olds tested at the highest proficiency in 2012, which means that 93 percent lacked the ability to solve multistep problems and understand algebra.
   Another 40 percent were deficient in "moderately complex procedures and reasoning." Average reading and mathematics scores in 2012 for 17-year-olds were not significantly different from scores in the early 1970s, when per-pupil spending was far less than it is now. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, per-pupil spending in public elementary and secondary schools was estimated at $4,961 in 1969-1970 (in 2011-2012 dollars). By 2009-2010, the per-pupil spending had jumped to $12,017 (in 2011-2012 dollars).  

o NEA Continues It's Anti-Parent Bias From Right Side News - When you hear the liberals and the feminists say the "village" should or can raise children, that really means the leftists want parents to defer to schools and let them make all important decisions. Here are some of the NEA Resolutions that tend to put public schools rather than parents in charge of your kids.
   - The NEA wants full-day, every day mandatory kindergarten for all children. That gets the children out of the home and under institutional supervision.
   - The NEA wants a full continuum of services for every child's pre-K years with what they called "appropriate and diversity-based curricula." That means the schools will start brainwashing children in their pre-Kindergarten years.
   - The NEA wants to veto all voucher plans and tuition tax credits that would allow you to move your kid to a private school, out of control of the busybody bureaucrats who think they know best about your children.
   - The NEA wants the public schools to start in the very early years indoctrinating children with political correct attitudes about racism, sexism, sexual orientation, gender identification, marital status, and family relationships.
   The NEA resolutions enthusiastically support school-based family planning clinics that can presumably counsel girls without interference from parents. The NEA opposes allowing schools to observe any moment of silence. The NEA still supports ratification of the now-defunct Equal Rights Amendment, which we now know would put same-sex marriage and abortion funding in the U.S. Constitution. And, the NEA resolutions are laden with the liberals favorite words, such as diversity, multicultural, and globalism.

The drugging of American children under the guise of ADD and like-minded "psychoanalysis" of keeping kids from being kids, because aggression and competition is contrary to the liberal quest of controlling "drones."

Seven teachers at Concord, MA, Carlisle High School hold assembly telling students how they "came out" as homosexuals -- encouraging students to do the same.

(MassResistance.org) Using the excuse of "gay youth suicides" reported in other states, schools in Massachusetts are intensifying their propaganda to portray homosexuality as a positive, natural, and irreversible behavior for kids to engage in -- and at the same time stigmatize any criticism of homosexuality as dangerous and even a sign of mental illness.

On October 21, 2010 a group of seven homosexual teachers at Concord-Carlisle High School led an afternoon assembly describing to students how they "came out" as homosexuals, and how "their lives have improved as a result." They emphasized that "coming out" - publicly declaring oneself as "gay" or "transgender' - is a healthy growth experience, and that once you've finally internalized that you're "gay" (or "transgender") it's permanent but satisfying. The event was reported in the local Carlisle Mosquito newspaper.

It's not known whether the assembly was mandatory for any of the students, but according to the newspaper report, the school's Little Theatre was completely filled and there was standing room only. It was organized by the schools "gay-straight alliance" club, known as Spectrum. Such clubs regularly work closely with the taxpayer-funded Massachusetts Commission for Gay Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth and the Mass. Department of Education.

Among the seven teachers was math teacher Peter Atlas. Atlas is a long-time homosexual activist, a personal friend and colleague of Kevin Jennings, and former board member of GLSEN. His public homosexual-related activities in schools date back to 1993. A Boston Globe article once described how (among other things) he offers matchmaking advice to gay teens. Ironically, Atlas began his talk by saying that all his college friends have died of AIDS. But he's very glad he "came out," and he encourages kids to do it. "My worst day out is better than my best day in the closet," he said.

Several of the teachers described what they portrayed as the irrational fear, "homophobia," and general backwardness of their parents, relatives, and others who first reacted negatively to their coming out. But afterwards, they assured the students, their relatives accepted them as gay, so students shouldn't be worried about that.

Science teacher Brian Miller said he was much happier after coming out because he could "be himself." He thanked the school for being a "safe place" to be homosexual.

Alice Slocum, a health teacher at the school, told the kids that she regrets having waited until college to come out, because it "wasted so much time." She added that coming out solidifies your homosexual identity, and that "once you say it, you can't take it back." She said because she's a health teacher who's come out, a colleague told her that she's "saving lives."

Social studies teacher Ben Kendall, a faculty sponsor of the gay-straight alliance club, concluded the event by encouraging kids to get involved with the gay-straight alliance club. Also, he said, students that they could confide with the school's counseling department with complete privacy -- that no one would tell their parents.

Most parents still in the dark, don't see the danger

One mother in Carlisle who found out about this assembly was very outraged. She sent us her thoughts and observations:

  • There is no concern whatsoever about Peter Atlas' comment that all of his college friends have died of AIDS.  Or that 70% of HIV/AIDS cases are homosexual men. Or that a recent CDC report found that 1 in 5 "men who have sex with men" have HIV.
  • She knows of at least one former member of Spectrum (the Concord-Carlisle High School gay-straight alliance club) who has met an early death from a homosexual-related illness.
  • There is no concern from the health teacher (or any others) for the damage to a student's body from homosexual (rectal)  sex.
  • School authorities refuse to tell parents about students' homosexual behavior, which could be life-threatening. However, the school is not even allowed to give a student an aspirin without parents' permission.

Unfortunately, many parents and taxpayers still don't understand and appreciate the militant push in the public schools to normalize homosexuality, transgenderism, and related behaviors in the minds of vulnerable and impressionable kids. This is why the homosexual lobby fights so hard against our strong parents' rights legislation (which we'll be re-filing in the Legislature this year).

Pre-Teen Orgasm: What Teachers' Unions are Fighting For by Larry Sand - NEA's reprehensible sexual agenda goes on unabated and the MSM is MIA. - I could not find a single MSM account of a talk given at a United Nations conference on March 3rd where Diane Schneider, representing the NEA at the "Commission on the Status of Women" said: "Oral sex, masturbation, and orgasms need to be taught in education," Diane Schneider told the audience at a panel on combating homophobia and transphobia.  Schneider, representing the National Education Association (NEA), the largest teachers union in the US, advocated for more "inclusive" sex education in US schools, with curricula based on liberal hetero and homosexual expression.  She claimed that the idea of sex education remains an oxymoron if it is abstinence-based, or if students are still able to opt-out. Comprehensive sex education is "the only way to combat heterosexism and gender conformity," Schneider proclaimed, "and we must make these issues a part of every middle and high-school student's agenda."  ..."Gender identity expression and sexual orientation are a spectrum," she explained, and said that those opposed to homosexuality "are stuck in a binary box that religion and family create."

A woman wants to teach children as young as eleven about oral sex, masturbation, and orgasms in a public school setting and it's not news!!??!!

A little digging finds that Ms. Schneider is a high school health educator and very active with the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) in upstate NY, where she is its co-chair. She is also proud of the Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) that she advises in her high school. Her presentation at the UN conference was part of her training from the NEA's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Trainer of Trainers.

On our web site are articles about GLSEN, quoting from their own material, where they encourage kids to learn about things like the Kinsey scale of "flexible" sexual desires, and about how kids should be allowed to experiment with any sexual orientation until they find what's right for them. This is a reckless and irresponsible message, but if that's their position, why not be able to go from homosexuality to heterosexuality? It reveals the purely political motivations involved, and their determination to absolutely shut down the opposition by any means possible.
