"A republic, if you can keep it."    Benjamin Franklin
A Republic: Not a democracy, not Marxism, not Socialism....
Keep voting for Marxists, we'll get Marxism...

o
Thomas Sowell - "Whole totalitarian governments have risen to dictatorial power on the wings of envy and resentment ideologies. Intellectuals have all too often promoted these envy and resentment ideologies. There are both psychic and material rewards for the intelligentsia in doing so, even when the supposed beneficiaries of these ideologies end up worse off. When you want to help people, you tell them the truth. When you want to help yourself, you tell them what they want to hear."

o Movie Review: COURAGEOUS – ‘Honor Begins at Home’ by Rev Michael Bresciani - Courageous is triumphantly American and unashamedly Christian. The film wreaks havoc on the generally accepted idea that everything that goes wrong with adults can be traced back to bad childhood experiences which then become excuses for the worst behaviors we can produce. It is the idea of standing up to take responsibility for our actions that compel the principal and lead actor in the movie, Alex Kendrick (Adam Mitchell) to draw others into his decision to put his commitments down on paper and sign them after which they are made public to Church, friends and family.
o State Dependency on the Federal Government By Tad DeHaven - The president’s fiscal 2013 budget proposal is scheduled to be released on February 13th. State officials are predictably sounding the alarm on the coming “deep cuts” to federal subsidies now that stimulus funds are running out and Washington is being forced to confront its mounting red ink. State officials have become addicted to federal subsidies because they allow them to spend money taken from taxpayers across the country instead of having to ask their voters to pony up the funds. As the following charts shows (click link), total state spending continued to increase during the economic downturn because the federal government picked up the slack. Note that the federal share of total state spending went from 25.7 percent in 2001 to 34.1 percent in 2011. See this Cato essay on federal subsidies to the states for more on why it is critical to reverse this trend.
o 15 Questions The Mainstream Media Would Ask Barack Obama If He Were A Republican By John Hawkins - 2) In 2010 you said Solyndra, which gave your campaign a lot of money, was "leading the way toward a brighter and more prosperous future." Today, Solyndra is bankrupt and the taxpayers lost $500 million on loans that your administration was well aware might never be paid off when you made them. What do you say to people who say this is evidence of corruption in your administration? 3) Unions invested a lot of time and money in helping to get you elected. In return, they gained majority control of Chrysler, the taxpayers lost 14 billion dollars on General Motors, and General Motors received a special 45 billion dollar tax break. What do you say to people who view this as corruption on a scale never before seen in American history? 4) Through dubious means, you and your allies in Congress managed to push through an incredibly unpopular health care bill that helped lead to the worst election night for the Democratic Party in 50 years. Since the bill has passed, many of your claims about the bill have proven to be untrue. For example, we now know the bill won't lower costs and despite your assurances to the contrary, big companies like McDonald's say they may drop health care because of the health care reform. Since the American people have rejected your health care reform and it doesn't do what you said it would, shouldn't you work with the Republicans to repeal it? 5) When you took office, gas was $1.79 per gallon. Since then, you've demonized the oil industry, dramatically slowed offshore drilling, blocked ANWR, and killed the Keystone Pipeline. Now, gas is $3.34 per gallon. How much higher do you anticipate driving gas prices?
o South Carolina Message By Thomas Sowell - Mitt Romney's supposed "electability" -- his acceptability to moderates and independents -- has been his biggest selling point. Moreover, he is just the kind of candidate that the Republican establishment has preferred for years: a nice, bland, moderate who offends nobody. ...Whomever the Republicans choose as their candidate is going to have to run against both Barack Obama and the pro-Obama media. Newt Gingrich has shown that he can do that.
...Gingrich is not just a guy who is fast and feisty on his feet. He has a depth of understanding of what issues are crucial, experience in how to deal with them and -- almost equally important -- experience in how to shoot down the petty, irrelevant and "gotcha" distractions of the media. Does Gingrich have negative qualities? More than most. Wild statements, alienation of colleagues, reckless gambits. His use of the rhetoric of the left in attacking Bain Capital was a recent faux pas, though one that he quickly backed away from. But if we are serious -- and there has seldom, if ever, been a time in the history of this nation when it was more necessary to be serious -- then we cannot simply add up talking points for or against a candidate. What matters is how that candidate stands on issues that can make or break the future of this country.
...The painful reality is that everyone in this year's field of Republican candidates is a gamble. And re-electing Barack Obama is an even bigger gamble. Whichever candidate the Republican voters finally choose from this year's field, they are bound to have reservations, if not fears. Gingrich's worst could be worse than Romney's worst, both as a candidate and as a president. But Gingrich's best is much better than Romney's best. Sometimes caution can be carried to the point where it is dangerous. When the Super Bowl is on the line, you don't go with the quarterback who is least likely to throw an interception. You go with the one most likely to throw a touchdown pass.
o Media Show Viciousness Early In 2012 Campaign GrassTopsUSA Exclusive Commentary By Don Feder - The man who worships at the shrine of Saul Alinsky – and once said America-hater Jeremiah Wright was a profound influence on his thinking – champions a “moderate liberalism.” The president who once told Republicans to shut up and “sit in the back” of the car, and now says he’ll ignore Congress and the Constitution and rule by executive order, has “extended a hand to his opponents.” The man who increased the national debt by more than 50% in three years, who nationalized GM, who’s poured billions in bailout money into companies owned by his cronies, who killed the Keystone pipeline to appease his radical enviro followers, who considers it a heroic achievement when unemployment dips slightly below 9%, isn’t the problem. It’s his dumb critics – stupidNewsweek is famous for bottom-feeder covers. Last August, it ran a photo of Michele Bachmann (labeled “The Queen of Rage”) that made the Minnesota Congresswoman look like the Zombie Farmer’s Daugh. ter. Even The Washington Post noted the bias. Newsweek’s editors have no idea why the publication went from magazine-size to a hefty pamphlet in a few years. In November 2008, the average issue was 124-pages, with 73 pages of editorial content. In the February 21, 2011 issue, the weekly views magazine weighed in at a svelte 48 pages – only 38 of which are editorial content. Still, Newsweek rarely misses an opportunity to spit in the face of Middle America. Too bad Obama’s critics can’t be as brilliant as Newsweek’s editors.
...Compare the media’s treatment of the Tea Parties and OWS. The Tea Parties obtained permits and rallied for a few hours. The OWS rabble squatted for weeks on end. Tea Party activists picked up after themselves. The occupiers created squalor and sanitary conditions worthy of the Third World. Yet, in the media’s eyes, OWS are Jeffersonian idealists, while the Tea Partiers are a crypto-fascist lynch mob. When a black Congressman claimed that prior to the House vote on ObamaCare, Tea Party demonstrators on Capitol Hill shouted the N-word 15 times at members of the Black Congressional Caucus, the MSM was all over it. (Was it true the average Tea Partier wore a white sheet under his street clothes? And are they still stringing up uppity Congressmen?) Big Journalism’s Andrew Breitbart offered $100,000 to anyone who could provide a video of the alleged hate-fest. It’s going on two years later, and there are still no takers,          Try Googling Occupy Wall Street and anti-Semitism and see what comes up on YouTube – sneering OWS activists calling elderly Jewish counter-protesters “Hyman” and creeps carrying signs about “Jewish Zionist bankers” and the “Jew Federal Reserve System.”  And the MSM couldn’t care less
o Thomas Sowell - "Whole totalitarian governments have risen to dictatorial power on the wings of envy and resentment ideologies. Intellectuals have all too often promoted these envy and resentment ideologies. There are both psychic and material rewards for the intelligentsia in doing so, even when the supposed beneficiaries of these ideologies end up worse off. When you want to help people, you tell them the truth. When you want to help yourself, you tell them what they want to hear."
o Faith & Family Yesterday (1/22/2012) marked the 39th anniversary of the two most tragic Supreme Court decisions in American history, Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton. We appropriately marked the Sanctity of Life. Barack Obama, on the other hand, celebrated death. "As we mark the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade," he said, "we must remember that this Supreme Court decision not only protects a woman's health and reproductive freedom, but also affirms a broader principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters. I remain committed to protecting a woman's right to choose and this fundamental constitutional right. ... As we remember this historic anniversary, we must also continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams." Share your thoughts on the Sanctity of Life and the Left's complete disregard of it here.
o Fearing Newt Gingrich By Matt Barber - Mr. Gingrich’s solid win, coupled with another surge in Florida, has the establishment squealing and darting about like a flaming pot-bellied pig. Massachusetts moderate Mitt Romney’s campaign has trotted out surrogates like Ann Coulter and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie to nip at the speaker’s heels. ...Still, RINO Republicans’ fear of Newt Gingrich stems from something entirely different from that which drives the left. The GOP leadership actually believes that he cannot win a general election, while — with a traumatic Reagan presidency still fresh in their minds — left-wing “progressives” know that he can. It’s the liberal media and Democratic National Committee, in fact, that has largely pushed the self-serving “Romney-is-the-inevitable-nominee” meme. ...After last week’s debacle in South Carolina, it’s little wonder that the The Washington Post is reporting Romney will no longer commit to any further Florida debates. He finds himself in a Catch-22: he must either debate and lose to Gingrich or not debate and lose to Gingrich. Guess who else doesn’t want to debate Newt Gingrich? Hint: his initials are BHO. I’ll state the obvious: Newt Gingrich is not a perfect man. Neither is he the perfect candidate. Who is? The question is, do we allow repentance for personal sin? Do we forgive others their trespasses as we wish to be forgiven? ...Our volatile times require a man who will decisively and decidedly lead from the helm. We cannot survive four more years of “leading from behind.” That’s why we need Newt Gingrich.
o College professor openly teaching an anti-God, gay agenda. See the video on Nietzsche, a man who declared himself the antichrist and went insane. This is being taught in a psychology class. On the syllabus, the professor states that the students should question "even their most deeply held convictions."
o Mitt Romney's Massachusetts Health Care. {13 page pdf file} - Excerpt page 7: According to a Heritage Foundation analysis of RomneyCare three years out, the budget for subsidized care had exploded from $133 million in FY2007 to around $800 million by FY2009. In the first year, Massachusetts raised $12 million in revenues from tax penalties assessed by the Individual Mandate.
o My Fight for Life The other Republican candidates simply check the pro-life box. America needs leadership. By Rick Santorum - ...My opponents whisper that they are pro-life, but I fight the battle in the trenches and will continue to do so until every innocent human life in this country is protected. I've dedicated my life as a husband, father and leader to this cause. Ron Paul embraces the 10th Amendment but ignores the 14th Amendment when he refuses to support federal protections for the unborn. The Constitution protects not only property rights but people, too. What is liberty without the right to life? The federal courts and the federal government are the last resort for protecting this foundational right. Mitt Romney's passion for life was apparently overwhelmed by Democrats when he put Planned Parenthood on the advisory board for RomneyCare and did not fight government-funded abortions while governor of Massachusetts. He was, it seems, too intimidated to support judges who understood the plain meaning of the Constitution on the right to life. Newt Gingrich has pushed social issues to the back bench. In a pledge to America that the Congress tried to put together in 2010, my phone was ringing off the hook from people who said he went in and told them to keep social issues out of the pledge for the 2010 elections. Do we want a president who talks on both sides or one who is unafraid to put social issues in the forefront where they belong? Whenever I am confronted with an immoral law that is unjust or harmful to society, I believe I have an obligation to work toward changing it to comport with what is moral. I agree with the Founders that there is a natural law that can be known through the exercise of reason against which the positive or civil law must be measured and, if needed, amended. For decades certain human beings were wrongly treated as property and denied liberty in America because they were not considered persons under the Constitution. I am disappointed that President Obama, who rightfully fights for civil rights, refuses to recognize the civil rights of the unborn in his country. I am disappointed that the other three Republican candidates in this race for president simply check the box. The unborn need leaders who will stand for life; so does the soul of America.
o Google Is Already Using SOPA-Like Censorship Web giant blacklists websites, follows government orders to remove material - While Google criticizes SOPA publicly, it is already privately using SOPA-like powers to unfairly marginalize legitimate web content. Google News is a content aggregator that allows users to search thousands of news sources for relevant stories. Although the aggregator includes a plethora of obscure, occasionally offensive, and barely-read websites, in November 2010 Google took the decision to de-list PrisonPlanet.com and Infowars.com from its indexed news sources.
o Homosexual Activist Group Brings Gender Confusion Into Elementary Schools by Candi Cushman - On the heels of so-called national sexuality standards for schools released a week ago, one of the homosexual advocacy groups involved in that effort has now followed up with new materials specifically targeting elementary schools. GLSEN—the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network—just unveiled a “toolkit” for elementary teachers called “Ready, Set, Respect!” Problem is, the toolkit doesn’t seem to advocate much “respect” for parents who don’t want schools promoting things like same-sex marriage and cross-dressing to children against their will. Here is a sampling of some of the things the GLSEN toolkit encourages teachers to do: Look for “teachable moments” to incorporate promotion of homosexuality into classroom activities. For instance, “Write math problems with contexts that include a variety of family structures and gender-expressions. For example, ‘Rosa and her dads were at the store and wanted to buy three boxes of pasta…’ ” Note to parents: This example illustrates two key points: 1) It reveals the code words homosexual activists groups are using to circumvent parents. If your child’s school starts teaching programs about “different family structures,” “family diversity” or “gender expressions,” that’s definitely a red flag that you should start asking questions about what’s happening in the classroom. 2) It illustrates the Orwellian nature of these groups’ efforts. Their strategy is to incorporate subtle indoctrination into every subject area for kids as young as kindergarten—whether it’s through math problems or history lessons. This makes it more difficult for parents to stay on top of what their kids are being taught about sexuality. (See full article for other things the toolkit encourages teachers to do include.)
...So what’s a parent to do? First of  all, as mentioned previously, stay alert and be aware of the code words used by sexual advocacy groups to get this type of teaching into schools. If you see these terms appearing in curricula and school programs, start asking questions. Second, be proactive by educating yourself through Focus on the Family’s truetolerance.org Web site—and then sending the information via the site’s Take Action center to your school officials.
o Media Attempt to Pick-Off All GOP Candidates, One-by-One is Undemocratic & Hypocritical By Kelly OConnell - America is learning the perpetually painful lesson of a rampant Marxist media. Consider the three rings of the socialist travesty. Essential issues are boiled down by leftist “journalists” to infant pap. Meanwhile, answers to compelling problems are slanted in favor of big government solutions. Finally, Conservatives are then perpetually pilloried for daring to hold and express irreversible convictions. This perilous scenario was no more patently on display than in the Jan. 19th SC Presidential debate. Fraudulent statist minion John “Bille Jean” King made the egregious error of pretending a political debate was best begun by demanding a candidate answer a question on “open marriage.” After receiving both barrels in repeated broadsides from a livid New Gingrich, the anti-media beat-down received a standing ovation. ...The mainstream media is desperate to block and tackle for Barack Obama, realizing he does not have what it takes to get reelected on his own. Therefore, the long-sought liberal paradise which they felt nearly in their grasp in now endangered. ...MR GINGRICH: "Now, let me be quite clear. Let me be quite clear. The story is false. Every personal friend I have who knew us in that period says the story was false. We offered several of them to ABC to prove it was false. They weren’t interested, because they would like to attack any Republican. They’re attacking the governor, they’re attacking me. I’m sure they’ll probably get around to Senator Santorum and Congressman Paul. I am tired of the elite media protecting Barack Obama by attacking Republicans."
o Obama Blames Republicans, Hides Behind His Own State Dep't, in Rejecting Keystone Pipeline By Fred Lucas - In his written statement explaining the decision, Obama mentioned the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton or the State Department four times in the opening paragraph -- and once again in the second and final paragraph. “Earlier today, I received the Secretary of State’s recommendation on the pending application for the construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline,” Obama wrote. “As the State Department made clear last month, the rushed and arbitrary deadline insisted on by congressional Republicans prevented a full assessment of the pipeline’s impact, especially the health and safety of the American people, as well as our environment. As a result, the Secretary of State has recommended that the application be denied. And after reviewing the State Department’s report, I agree.” ...House Speaker John Boehner, at a press conference Wednesday, said this is a purely political decision from the president: “President Obama is destroying tens of thousands of American jobs and shipping American energy security to the Chinese. There’s really – there’s no other way to put it: the President is selling out American jobs for politics,” Boehner said. “The President was given the authority to block this project only – and only – if he believes it’s not in the national interest of the United States. Is it not in the national interest to create tens of thousands of jobs here in America with private investment? Is it not in the national interest to get energy resources from an ally like Canada as opposed to some countries in the Middle East?”
o Obama argues against appearing at eligibility hearing - 'Electors, Congress, not Georgia, hold responsibility for qualifications of candidates' By Bob Unruh - The hearing is set at 9 a.m. on Jan. 26 for the complaint brought by Weldon. Following immediately will be hearings for the cases brought by Swensson and Powell, and the issue raised by Farrar, Lax, Judy, Malaren and Roth will be third. Malihi’s ruling said: “The court finds that defendant is a candidate for federal office who has been certified by the state executive committee of a political party, and therefore must, under Code Section 21-2-5, meet the constitutional and statutory qualifications for holding the office being sought.”
o No Bows, No Food Stamps, No Alinsky...Aggressive Gingrich Speech Ignites the Right - I believe this campaign comes down to economics including jobs, economic growth, balancing the budget, the value of money. It comes down to national security, what threatens us and what do you have to do about it.  But the centerpiece of this campaign I believe is American exceptionalism versus the radicalism of Saul Alinsky. Well, you know, there's a lot to just doing that because the fact is what we are gonna argue is that American exceptionalism, the American Declaration of Independence, the American Constitution, the American Federalist Papers, the Founding Fathers of America are the source from which we draw our understanding of America. He draws his from Saul Alinsky, radical left-wingers and people who don't like the classical America. ...Let me just say that I believe the debate we're going to have with President Obama over the next eight or nine months, the outlining of the two Americas.  The America of the Declaration of Independence, the America of Saul Alinsky.  The America of paychecks.  The America of food stamps.  The America of independence.  The America of dependence.  The America of strength in foreign policy, the America of weakness in foreign policy.  Those two choices, I believe will give the American people a chance to decide permanently whether we want to remain the historic America that has provided opportunity for more people of more backgrounds than any country in history, or whether in fact, we prefer to become a brand new secular, European-style bureaucratic socialist system.
o Just How Bad is Elizabeth Warren? By Chanel Prunier - The leading opponent of US Senator Scott Brown seems to be an amiable, more-extreme version of Martha Coakley when one examines her positions on the issues. Harvard Professor Elizabeth Warren seems to view an Emily's List (a radical pro-abortion fundraising group) endorsement as a major qualification for running for the country's upper legislative chamber. As of November, the group had raised Warren over $200,000, and recently announced they will be financing negative ads against Brown.  Elizabeth Warren also seems just as liberal, if not more so, on issues profoundly affecting the family than Martha Coakley was.   She is shaping up to be a pro-abortion and extremely anti-family, anti-marriage candidate, who embraces the repeal of DOMA and supports pushing the envelope on radical social policy. Just take a look at a recent blog post she made to the ultra-left website BlueMassGroup: http://bluemassgroup.com/2011/12/protecting-and-promoting-equality/. Warren states she’s proud that Massachusetts has passed the radical Transgender-Bathroom Bill, and would support a federal version that would make similar legislation law across our entire nation. Warren further pledges to end the Defense of Marriage Act, which protects states from having same-sex marriage forced on them by the courts through lawsuits filed by same-sex couples “married” in states like Massachusetts, which have already had same-sex marriage forced upon them by activists courts. DOMA has allowed states to protect themselves from same-sex marriage, and Warren would fight to strip states of that protection.
o Laura Carr Three, irrefutable facts that PROVE the Long Form Birth Certificate Obama released was a forgery. If anyone ever says, "he released his birth certificate" you can tell them WHY it is a fake. 1. Back in 1961 people of color were called 'Negroes.' So how can the Obama 'birth certificate' state he is 'African-American' when the term wasn't even used at that time? 2. The birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama's birth as August 4, 1961. It also lists Barack Hussein Obama as his father. No big deal, right? At the time of Obama's birth, it also shows that his father is aged 25 years old, and that Obama's father was born in " Kenya, East Africa ". This wouldn't seem like anything of concern, except the fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963, two whole years after Obama's birth, and 27 years after his father's birth. How could Obama's father have been born in a country that did not yet exist? Up and until Kenya was formed in 1963, it was known as the "British East Africa Protectorate". 3. On the birth certificate released by the White House, the listed place of birth is "Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital". This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called "KauiKeolani Children's Hospital" and "Kapi'olani Maternity Home", respectively. The name did not change to Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged. How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978? Resources: http://www.kapiolani.org/women-and-children/about-us/default.aspx Post-colonial history (from Wikipedia) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Kenya http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenya ; Why hasn't this been discussed in the major media?
o RomneyCare Just Got $150 Million More Expensive By Michael F. Cannon - One of the ways Massachusetts officials have tried to temper RomneyCare’s cost overruns was by denying participation to legal immigrants. Last week, the Commonwealth’s highest court ruled that restriction violates the Massachusetts Constitution: Massachusetts cannot bar legal immigrants from a state health care program, according to a ruling issued Thursday by the state’s highest court… The ruling said that a 2009 state budget that dropped about 29,000 legal immigrants who had lived in the United States for less than five years from Commonwealth Care, a subsidized health insurance program central to this state’s 2006 health care overhaul, violated the State Constitution. “This appropriation discriminated on the basis of alienage and national origin,” wrote Justice Robert J. Cordy of the Supreme Judicial Court, ruling that the action “violates their rights to equal protection under the Massachusetts Constitution.”… State officials say they will abide by the decision, although they are not yet sure how to pay for the change. “This decision has significant fiscal impacts for the commonwealth, adding somewhere in the range of $150 million in annual costs to what is already a very challenging budget,” said Jay Gonzalez, secretary of administration and finance. No doubt their “pay for” will involve another unpopular minority. Former Romney/Obama advisor Jonathan Gruber has written that RomneyCare  was already costing the state $50 billion more than projected by 2009.  Of course, supporters have been hiding RomneyCare’s costs (and exaggerating its benefits) all along.
o My Endorsement for President By Chuck Norris - In the past few editions of my weekly column, I detailed 10 questions to find our next president, in no particular order of importance. I proposed that the name of the candidate that fills the majority of the answers deserves readers' votes. 1) Who is most committed to follow and lead by the U.S. Constitution? 2) Who has the greatest ability to rally, unify and mobilize citizens across political and societal spectrums? 3) Who has the best working comprehension of America? 4) Who has the best ability to influence a volatile world away from the brink of destruction? 5) Who has clear and present moral fortitude? 6) Who has the best chance of beating President Obama, in and outside of debates? 7) Who has the best abilities to lead Washington politics and politicians? 8) Who has the best plan and leadership ability to restore America's economy? 9) Who is the most fiscally prudent? 10) Who has demonstrated the highest regard for human life? My wife, Gena, and I sincerely believe that former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is the answer to most of those questions and deserves our endorsement and votes. ...I'm tired of watching our country be torn to shreds by those who think the answer is more government debt and control. I'm tired of being in bondage to a tax system that robs U.S. citizens as the king of England did before the Revolution. I'm tired of watching our sovereignty be sold by foreign loans and loose borders. And I will not sit back and merely watch this decay and degradation of the U.S. and then hand it over to my children and grandchildren to deal with.
o Utopians must destroy the family by Jason Mattera - Mark Levin: “With all these utopian models, you have to destroy the family because you have to destroy individual sovereignty,” Levin told HUMAN EVENTS. That’s why today’s liberals place such an emphasis on expanding public education, he noted. It charges the state, not the parents, with molding and sculpting the attitudes and character of young minds. At the heart of that molding, argues Levin, is an attack on affluent and industrious individuals. “One of the things the utopians do in order to push their statist society is they have to attack successful people. They have to attack independent, industrious people. Because if they don’t, then it disproves their entire enterprise.”  Why is that? Would you want to fundamentally transform a society that’s working, one that’s functional and creates the environment for upward mobility?
o Quotes of the Week "[T]he fact is that more people have been put on food stamps by Barack Obama than any president in American history. Now, I know among the politically correct, you're not supposed to use facts that are uncomfortable. ... I believe every American of every background has been endowed by their creator with the right to pursue happiness. And if that makes liberals unhappy, I'm going to continue to find ways to help poor people learn how to get a job, learn how to get a better job and learn some day to own the job." --Newt Gingrich in the debate in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Since Obama's inauguration, the food stamp rolls have increased by 18 million to a total of 46.2 million people. The annual cost in 2011 was $75.3 billion. The rolls increased dramatically under George W. Bush as well, but Obama's increase is almost four times Bush's rate. The White House characterized Gingrich's assertion as "crazy," but the culture of dependency fostered by this administration is not crazy. It's despicable. In Thursday night's debate, Gingrich had another zinger: "Why is President Obama for young people being allowed to stay on their parents' insurance until 26? Because he can't get any jobs for them to go out and buy their own insurance. I have an offer to the parents of America: elect us, and your kids will be able to move out because they'll have work."
EarsToHear.net endorses Newt Gingrich for three major reasons: 1. He is the only candidate that can successfully confront Obama and progressives/Marxists. 2. He fully supports the principles of both the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, the Republic for which it stands, State rights and limited federal government, and America's foundational premise, "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God."  3. America's sovereignty, defense, rule of law, and free market enterprise. (Comments?)

Voters must decide, in this present day climate of prevalent progressive left-wing culture of Demarxists, educators, and overwhelming left-wing media, which candidate is able to take on both the Demarxists and Marxist left-wing media. Can Ron Paul, Santorum, or Romney take on these opponents in both the media and during debates with Obama and successfully shine the light on the deceptive, hypocritical, double-standard of Marxism and its selective tolerance, diversity, and Rights that violate “the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God.” I see only one choice. Perhaps Santorum after 4 or 8 years of a Gingrich cleanup, but we must get our foot in the door of the White House first. If it was as easy as throwing a switch, yes then perhaps a less imperfect candidate might be viable, if he or she could overcome the obstacles presented here.

o Michael Reagan Endorses Newt Gingrich by Fox News Insider - Newt Gingrich’s campaign released the following statement today from Michael Reagan: I am endorsing Newt Gingrich for President and here’s why: Newt understands that we must reject and fundamentally change the course that Barack Obama has set for America. Newt is our only chance in 2012 to contrast a Reagan conservative with Obama’s European’ styled socialism. Newt exemplifies the conservative principles my father championed. Strong national defense, lower taxes and smaller government.

o South Carolina Message By Thomas Sowell - Mitt Romney's supposed "electability" -- his acceptability to moderates and independents -- has been his biggest selling point.
You go with the one most likely to throw a touchdown pass.

o Fearing Newt Gingrich By Matt Barber - Mr. We cannot survive four more years of “leading from behind.” That’s why we need Newt Gingrich.

o The past and the present Thomas Sowell  - If Newt Gingrich were being nominated for sainthood, many of us would vote very differently from the way we would vote if he were being nominated for a political office.   What the media call Gingrich's "baggage" concerns largely his personal life and the fact that he made a lot of money running a consulting firm after he left Congress. This kind of stuff makes lots of talking points that we will no doubt hear, again and again, over the next weeks and months. But how much weight should we give to this stuff when we are talking about the future of a nation? This is not just another election -- and Barack Obama is not just another president whose policies we may not like. With all of President Obama's broken promises, glib demagoguery and cynical political moves, one promise he has kept all too well. That was his boast on the eve of the 2008 election: "We are going to change the United States of America." ...Against this background, how much does Newt Gingrich's personal life matter, whether we accept his claim that he has now matured or his critics' claim that he has not? Nor should we sell the public short by saying that they are going to vote on the basis of tabloid stuff or media talking points, when the fate of this nation hangs in the balance. ...Do we wish we had another Ronald Reagan? We could certainly use one. But we have to play the hand we were dealt. And the Reagan card is not in the deck. ...Those who want to concentrate on the baggage in Newt Gingrich's past, rather than on the nation's future, should remember what Winston Churchill said: "If the past sits in judgment on the present, the future will be lost." If that means a second term for Barack Obama, then it means lost big time.

o CONSERVATIVE PUNDIT SNIFFS PLAY PILE-ON-NEWT GrassTopsUSA Exclusive Commentary By Don Feder - In a political career spanning 40 years in and out of office, Gingrich made some monumental mistakes. He also had some historic achievements – including producing a Republican majority in the House of Representatives for the first time in 40 years and forcing Clinton to submit balanced budgets, cut taxes and reform welfare. Looking ahead to the 2012 general election, Newt has two indispensable attributes: he’s a dazzling speaker, who says things worth quoting, and has the guts to finally throw some light on the cockroaches of the left that are swarming over our republic. Watching Newt in the GOP debates is like seeing Rembrandt at work; the rest do paint-by-numbers. Gingrich answers questions with laser-like precision, cutting through clichés to expose the essence of issues. Even when I thought he had no chance of winning the nomination, for someone who’s spent his life working with words, it was a pleasure to behold a master in action.

..The difference between Newt and Mitt? Newt has a core conservative philosophy which he sometimes misapplies. Mitt has no core philosophy to misapply. Romney, who helped usher in the first-in-the-nation gay marriage law and trailblazed for Obama Care, has no principles – and those are negotiable. Jeff Katz, a popular Boston-area talk-show host, says: “Romney has a lot of experience. He’s been on every side of every issue. The only thing he’s consistent on is the belief that Mitt Romney should be president.” Newt has frequently disappointed or mystified conservatives (although his one-time infatuation with global warming is hard to square with his Drill-Here/Drill-Now campaign) - so have all the rest, except for Michele can't-give-her-book-away.

...Perry has in-state-tuition for illegals (if you oppose it, you don’t have a heart) and Gardasil among his carry-on luggage. In 2004, Santorum supported Arlen Specter for the Republican Senate nomination in Pennsylvania, and, in so doing, gave the Democrats two Senate seats (his own when alienated conservatives turned on him, and Specter’s, when he joined the party where he always belonged). Jon Huntsman has designated himself the RINO-in-waiting, if Mitt falters, and runs to the left of his record as Utah governor.

In 1988, Ron Paul was the Libertarian Party presidential candidate. The Libertarian platform calls for abolishing age-of consent laws and legalizing hard drugs. In its editorial endorsing Newt, The Manchester Union Leader, possibly the most conservative paper in the country, observed: “Newt Gingrich is by no means the perfect candidate. But Republican primary voters too often make the mistake of preferring an unattainable ideal to the best candidate who is actually running. In this incredibly important election, that candidate is Newt Gingrich.”

Resolved: America can’t take a second Obama administration. It will not survive four more years of: Obama Care, class warfare, the free-market/individualism sucks, America is not a Christian nation, purging references to Islam from terrorism training manuals for intelligence agents, gays in the military, refusing to defend DOMA, an endless tsunami of red ink, radical appointments (Eric Holder, Janet Napolitano, Kathleen Sabelius, Hillary Clinton, etc., etc.), judicial nominations from living-Constitution Hell, putting the Muslim Brotherhood in power in Egypt, bashing Israel until it’s bloody and reeling, the Occupy Wall Street Movement (the Obama Jugend), nationalizing industry, and using our troops as uniformed social workers (humanitarian interventions) - all resting on a solid Marxist, hate-America base. If you’re waiting for the perfect candidate who could actually win to come along, we could all be in shackles and leg-irons sitting in an Obama reeducation camp by the time he or she arrives.

o No Bows, No Food Stamps, No Alinsky...Aggressive Gingrich Speech Ignites the Right - I believe this campaign comes down to economics including jobs, economic growth, balancing the budget, the value of money. Those two choices, I believe will give the American people a chance to decide permanently whether we want to remain the historic America that has provided opportunity for more people of more backgrounds than any country in history, or whether in fact, we prefer to become a brand new secular, European-style bureaucratic socialist system.

o Gingrich Coup: Endorsement From NH's Largest Paper  - "We don't back candidates based on popularity polls or big-shot backers. We look for conservatives of courage and conviction who are independent-minded, grounded in their core beliefs about this nation and its people, and best equipped for the job," the editorial said.
o Gingrich and Immigration By Thomas Sowell - As for Newt Gingrich, his position on immigration is just one of the items in the "baggage" he has to overcome. But what the voters have to overcome is an insistence on a perfect candidate. Ronald Reagan, after all, supported an immigrant amnesty bill, but that did not prevent him from being a great president otherwise. A Republican Congress would be unlikely to make that mistake again, even if a Republican president wanted to. The big question for 2012 is whether Republicans will win Congress and/or the White House. If Democrats win Congress and the White House in 2012, amnesty is virtually certain, along with other disasters.
o Speaking up for dad Gingrich's daughter out to counter misinformation - Like a perverse version of the children's game "telephone," the story has spun out of control, so even some supporters - like the volunteer in Alaska - think Newt Gingrich told his dying wife that he was leaving her for the woman he'd cheated on her with. It is a "vicious lie," the Gingrich campaign says on its website. Jackie Battley Gingrich declines interview requests, but in May, Cushman, a conservative blogger and mother of two, wrote a column, "Setting the Record Straight." It was her mother, not her father, who requested the divorce. Her mother didn't have cancer; the tumor was benign. Gingrich went to the hospital that day so his girls could visit, not to discuss the divorce.
o Retired AFA founder endorses Gingrich Fred Jackson - OneNewsNow - The retired founder of the American Family Association, Rev. Donald E. Wildmon, announced his endorsement today of Newt Gingrich for President of the United States. In making the announcement, Wildmon said "Gingrich recognizes the threat to our country posed by judges and lawyers imposing values upon the country inconsistent with our religious heritage, and has proposed constitutional steps to bring the courts back in balance under the constitution." He added, “We need someone in the White House who can balance the budget and get the economy moving again. Newt is the only candidate who has done it before and I believe he can do it again. I am proud to endorse Newt Gingrich for president.” In welcoming the endorsement, Gingrich said “Don Wildmon has been one of the most important leaders in the country in the battle to uphold our founding principles. I am humbled and honored to have his endorsement.
o Gingrich Defends Marriage As 'Core' of Civilization, Says Bigotry Question 'Goes Both Ways' By Susan Jones - Gingrich also raised the issue of bias in the news media. While homosexual activists blast discrimination against them, what about anti-Christian bigotry? "You don't hear the opposite question asked," Gingrich said. "Should the Catholic Church be forced to close its adoption services in Massachusetts because it won't accept gay couples, which is exactly what the state has done? Should the Catholic Church be driven out of providing charitable services in the District of Columbia because it won't give in to secular bigotry? Should the Catholic Church find itself discriminated against by the Obama administration on key delivery of services because of the bias and the bigotry of the administration? "The bigotry question goes both ways. And there's a lot more anti-Christian bigotry today than there is concerning the other side. And none of it gets covered by the news media."
o My Endorsement for President By Chuck Norris - In the past few editions of my weekly column, I detailed 10 questions to find our next president, in no particular order of importance.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God..."  Matthew 6:33

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Romans 14:17

He that has ears to hear, let him hear.

I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes unto the Father, but by me. --John 14:6
And THIS is eternal life, that they might KNOW You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. --John 17:3

The Gospel of the Kingdom of God

Galatians 1:1-10 - Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

"I never knew you"

Jesus said: "Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them. Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that hears these sayings of mine, and doesn't do them, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall." --Matthew 7:20-27

Franklin Graham: What is a Christian? There is much confusion over the answer to that question today, especially in our own country. Jesus said that His true followers are those who have been “born again” by the Spirit of God. Some years ago, I was in a cab when I asked the driver about his faith. He replied that he was a Christian, and I asked him how he became one. I’ll never forget his reply: “Oh, I was born a Christian.” But those who belong to Christ know that it’s impossible to be born a Christian because we start out with a sin-infected nature, lost and separated from God. People often use the term “Christian” as simply a category for describing someone’s cultural, religious, or family heritage. Other people believe that a person is a Christian because he or she attends church or was raised in a godly home. For still others, the term “Christian” is no more than a box to check off on an application or survey form. So what is a Christian? Jesus said that His true followers are those who have been “born again” by the Spirit of God. When a Jewish religious leader named Nicodemus came to talk with Jesus one night, he declared that God was with Jesus because of all the miraculous signs Jesus performed. Jesus had this penetrating response: “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. … Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit” (John 3:3, 6, NIV).

One Way
Jesus said unto him, "I AM the way, and the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, except through Me."
There is only One Way to KNOW the Father - by KNOWING Jesus
There is only One Way to KNOW Jesus - by KNOWING the WORD.
There is only One Way to KNOW the WORD - by having the same Spirit that inspired the WORD reveal the WORD.
There is only One Way to HAVE the Spirit - Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

John 14:5-11: Thomas said unto him, Lord, we do know not where you are going; how are we able to know the way? Jesus said unto him, I AM the way, and the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, except through Me. If you have known Me, then you will know My Father. And from now on you do know Him, and you have been seeing Him. Philip said unto him, Lord, You must now show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us. Jesus said unto him, I have been with you for so long a time, and you have not known Me, Philip? The one who has seen Me has seen the Father: how can you say, You must show us the Father? Do you not believe I AM in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words which I speak to you I AM not speaking from Myself, but the Father Who lives in Me does His works. Believe in Me, that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me: but if not, believe because of these works. ( Power New Testament

John 4:13-14:  Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinks of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

John 7:37-39: In the In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?
And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. --
Acts 19:2

"Knowledge unenlightened by the truth of God is dark knowledge. We may have a B.S., an M.S., and a Ph.D., but without the Lord all we have is dark information. It may help navigate us in the world of darkness, but by itself will never lead us to the truth. Apart from the revelation of the Spirit of God, none of us could ever find our way into the light. Darkly educated people are like those whom Paul described to his young protégé', Timothy, as 'always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.'" (2 Timothy 3:7) Rediscovering the Kingdom by Myles Munroe

At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. --Matthew 11:25-27

It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. --John 6:63

I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. --John 16:12-13

1 Corinthians 1:19-25, 2:10-16  - "For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not Go not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. ...But God has revealed them unto us by his Spiritor the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Trinity
"God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:..." --Genesis 1:26
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."
--John 4:24

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. --1 John 5:7-8

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. --1 Thessalonians 5:18-23

"But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty gives them understanding. Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment." --Job 32:8-9

Just as God is a Trinity, three in one, He created man in this same image, three in one. Just as God is a Spirit, man is also first and foremost an eternal spirit, that has a mind and a temporary body.
Without understanding this, one will never appreciate not only God's creation, but one's complete self,  nor to "know no man after the flesh" (2Corninthian 5:17). For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God. (1 Corinthians 2:11)  "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7).

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. --Genesis 2:7
He breathed on them, and said unto them, "
Receive ye the Holy Ghost:" --John 20:22

Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul (Strong(Strong's concordance for soul  - G5590: psuche -- pronounced: psoo-khay' from 5594; breath, i.e. by implication spirit), and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. --Matthew 22:36-40

Martin Luther King Jr. - Excerpts from his Letter from the Birmingham Jail April 16, 1963 "How does one determine whether a law is just or unjust? A just law is a man-made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law. To put it in the terms of St. Thomas Aquinas: An unjust law is a human law that is not rooted in eternal law and natural law."

Jude 1:7,17-19 - "Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. ...But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit."
"The Foolishness of God "

o
The fool has said in his heart, There is no God.
They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good. (Psalms 14:1)
o Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He takes the wise in their own craftiness. (1 Corinthians 3:18-19)
o Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favor. (Proverbs 14:9)
o Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favor. (Proverbs 14:9)
o Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of your words. (Proverbs 23:9)
o For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God has shown it to them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse; Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. (Romans 1:18-22)
o But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14)

the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. (Matthew 11:25-27)

  • "A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to complacency; From complacency to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage." (This unverified quotation has been attributed to Tytler, most notably as part of a longer piece which began circulating on the Internet shortly after the 2000 U.S. Presidential Election[9]. While it is unverified, a) It may still contain true statements. b) It may still have been written by Tytler: )

  • "There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." --James Madison, speech at the Virginia Ratifying Convention, 1788

  • If we capitulate and say “we can’t change government,” and “the obstacles are too many,” then consider America WE are leaving the next generation. Consider the “Victory or Death” commitment of the Revolutionary War soldiers they had for the generations to follow – you.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animating contest of freedom...crouch down and lick the hands, which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!"

  • We must continuously contact our elected officials with our views on any and all issues you might otherwise just murmur and complain about only to those around you. Either step up or shut up, because those who wish to "fundamentally transform America" (Barack Obama) from a Republic to Marxism and tyranny are gradually doing so.

  • The United States was the first, and some say the only, nation created through the belief that God, not government, has given to all men certain unalienable rights, and that government exists for the purpose of protecting those rights. For this reason, the government is a servant of the people, not the other way around. The Constitution and Bill of Rights were written to ensure the understanding and protection of those basic rights. -- Rick Joyner

  • Warnings: Distinguishing between Patriots and cowards - Biblically Correct or Politically Correct? Liberty from God or Mandated by Government? Republic or Marxism?

"A republic, if you can keep it." Benjamin Franklin

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to complacency; From complacency to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage." "The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time; the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them. ... Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever." Thomas Jefferson

This is a test: If you ever wondered which side of the fence you sit on, Marxism or a Republic.
If a Republican doesn't like guns, he doesn’t buy one.
If a Democrat doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
If a Republican is a vegetarian, he doesn’t eat meat.
If a Democrat is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a Republican is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a Democrat is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.
If a Republican is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A Democrat wonders who is going to take care of him.
If a Republican doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Democrats demand that those they don't like be shut down.
If a Republican is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A Democrat non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.
If a Republican decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A Democrat demands that the rest of us pay for his.   If a Republican reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh.
A Democrat will delete it because he's "offended".

The problem is brainlock, not gridlock  - "The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president."

What Can The Righteous Do? (Psalms 11)
2 Chronicles 7:14
"If my people..." Citizens of the Kingdom of God
"...which are called by My Name,..." Christians
  "...shall humble themselves,..." Worthy?
"...and pray, and seek my face,..." Power of God required
"and turn from their wicked ways;..." Repent (choose this day whom you will serve, self & flesh or God & Spirit?)
"...then will I hear from heaven,..." If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.
"...and will forgive their sin,..." And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
"...and will heal their land." Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people.

President Reagan said conservatism is a "three-legged stool." Social conservatism (family values), fiscal conservatism (the free market), and defense & foreign policy (peace through strength). When one leg is removed the entire structure collapses. Whoever undermines family values undermines America. A Nation can't have a sound economy or an effective national defense without strong families.

Pastors taken to task for political apathy 'What we have in America is a preacher problem' By Drew Zahn © 2010 WorldNetDaily Rick Scarborough MIAMI – America has gone "from one nation under God to a nation at war with God," said Rick Scarborough, president of Vision America, at WND's "Taking America Back Conference." And who's to blame? According to a pair of speakers at the Miami confab, one of most significant answers is also one the most uncomfortable for Christians. "As the church goes, so goes the nation; as the pastor goes, so goes the church." Scarborough said, "What we have in America is a preacher problem." Scarborough, himself a former Southern Baptist minister, told the audience his story of recognizing the need for pastors to snap out of political complacency and get involved in the cultural war for the soul of the nation. He had attended a sexual education presentation at his daughter's high school in the 1990s, only to discover a message of sexual license and perversity that shocked him. When he brought a transcript of the presentation to his church, the building was filled with people equally stunned. Shortly thereafter, Scarborough explained at "Taking America Back," he began to free his congregation from excessive church responsibilities to take up civic duties. Members of his church were elected to the school board and city council and began to reassert Christian values in the public arena.

If it be asked what is to be the consequence, in case the Congress shall misconstrue this part of the Constitution, and exercise powers not warranted by its true meaning, I answer, the same as if they should misconstrue or enlarge any other power vested in them; as if the general power had been reduced to particulars, and any one of these were to be violated; the same, in short, as if the State legislatures should violate the irrespective constitutional authorities.
